Far From Home [Active]

Character(s): Kairi, Open!
Content: Kairi's arrival in Paixao
Setting: Just inside Niflheim game
Time: Afternoon, week 27
Warnings: None!

This was another world, she was sure of that. It couldn't be her home, it just didn't feel right. Kairi was no stranger to waking up in different places, but she couldn't say she liked going to bed at home and then coming to in an unknown place. She'd had her initial panic spell after waking up on the strange island, unsure whether to enter the castle that loomed before her. Her hesitation only lasted so long however, as standing around outside wasn't going to do anything for her.

So Kairi stood in the line that led inside, received the small journal device and a 'welcome to Paixao' from one of the men at the doors, and entered the building with the determination to find out just where to go next. And in in the meantime, she'd check around to see if her friends had somehow been brought here too. Of course, she had to stop and look around at her surroundings as soon as she got a good look at the architecture, her eyes wide at the unique design of this place. She'd never seen anything quite like it... at least, she didn't think so.

The second things she did was stop to inspect the little device. It wasn't like she was too computer savvy, so for the moment she slipped it into the bag on her waist and told herself to figure it out later.

When she finally got her fill of looking at the brightness and the journal, Kairi sighed, leaning against a wall and looking left and right. "Sora... Riku... how am I going to find you in all this?"

It wasn't often that Hercules ventured out of his apartment for something other than trying to keep up his training, but everyone needed to get out and get some fresh air sometimes, for a given value of fresh air, at least.

Hercules was wandering by one of the gates when he saw a pretty, red haired girl leaning against the wall. She seemed sad. He walked over to her and said, "Hey, are you okay?"

"Oh, well, maybe they're here," Hercules replied, "But I'm not sure you want them to be in this city." He laughed a little uncertainly, someone needed to explain to her what was going on here.

"No, I don't, I'm from Greece."

"I think so? What else would you call a place that brings people in like this?" Hercules wanted to be able to help the girl somehow, what sort of hero would he be he he wasn't willing to offer help?

"Um, I'm Hercules, by the way"

Hercules frowned, you'd think he'd have gotten used to this by now, you really would. But every time someone mentioned knowing him, it too him by surprise.

"I'm sorry, Kairi, I don't know any Soras," He looked away from the girl, "I don't have friends."

"What did this Sora person say about me anyway?" There was something about that name that felt familiar, though, like someone had mentioned it to him before. And when ever someone said they knew of him, they were usually right.

"It's just, everyone back home thinks I'm a freak" What was he doing? Why was he telling this random girl his life story, anyway?

"I'm not a hero yet." He replied sheepishly. "I... I want to be, but I'm still in training." And Hercules wasn't the type to ignore someone who seemed lost. He was startled by Kairi putting a hand on his shoulder, and seemed to tense up slightly.

"No, I'm..." He hesitated, it wasn't like Hercules was ashamed of his divine heritage, or anything. But all the bullying still stung, "I'm not normal."
