Toboe ran up to his friend and stopped just short of running into him. "Tsume! I thought you were here!" His grin didn't drop at Tsume's question. "I ran into Blue. She's the dog that had been chasing us back in the city with that old guy, but she's really half wolf, and we've been looking for you!" Toboe's words just tumbled out of his mouth as if it had been transformed into Niagara Falls. He was so excited, he couldn't slow his speech.
"And the humans here, they aren't afraid of us! We don't have to put the illusion up if we don't want, but I do it because I think there's still somethin' weird goin' on. She said she thought you were here too, and I thought I smelled you when I first came here!" He paused. Toboe ran out of words, but his excitement was still very much there. If he had been in his wolf form people would have noticed that his tail was wagging uncontrollably.
"How long have you been here, Tsume? You know, we just left the city and found a place to rest, and then I woke up and I was just outside this place." Maybe Tsume had figured something out about this place. He was smart enough.
