The House of Yzma [Active/Closed]

Character(s): Yzma, Guy
Content: Guy was invited over to Yzma’s home to help as her new lab assistant.
Setting: Promenade Terrance in Yzma’s House
Time: Early Afternoon
Warnings: Just Yzma’s crazy antics~

Yzma lounged on her couch she was having a little snack with grapes while reading a book on chemistry. She was wearing her long elaborate black and purple dress, with a feathered up cap. Yzma flipped the page of her fascinating book as she does find the subject of experimenting with different potions fascinating.

Just outside, one can take a look at Yzma’s home to be something from a dog’s nightmare. The house was made of stone quoins. The style resembled a Queen Anne, but elaborated with statues of different types of cats. These statues were obviously separated from the home, but Yzma was able to find these at a pawnshop and took them home immediately. The more elaborate a home the better she thought. The dark grass was long, but not over grown, though vines still seem to creep up the house. Yzma couldn’t possibly get out there and fix those things herself though, not her age at any rate.

The house was large, but was still considered average enough to be a regular house you would find in a neighborhood. However, it was still creepy and dark enough that one might not approach it at first glance. Yzma didn’t mind that though, to her it was simply something that needed to be worked on later. The real beauty was the basement she worked on downstairs. The lab was the most important thing to this house. That was the real surprise for Guy when he would come over.

As Yzma waited for Guy, she wondered if he wouldn’t mind doing some of the yard work outside. Kronk didn’t seem to mind when he was her lab assistant, though she’s much more concerned with just getting the job done then that. However, doing something extra for the boss like her will award him something great, especially if he’s a good boy and does a good job with his work.

Navigating around Paixao was easy, the maps on the journal system were great. Guy had spent many hours pouring over the thing, trying to figure out the inner workings of the device, and being pleasantly surprised with each new discovery. He couldn't wait to bring it back to Auldrant and see how it reacted with certain types of fontech. He was sure Pere would shake his head at yet another mechanical addition to their shared room...

With a smile on his face, he arrived at the area designated Promenade Terrace. Yzma's house was... really easy to pick out. When she (though the fact that she was a 'she' was still unbeknownst to the guardian...) explained the decor... she certainly wasn't lying. There were definitely... a lot of feline-esque statues around.

Oh well! To each his own!

Stepping up to the door, the blonde gave it a solid knock, not quite sure what to expect on the other side...

As the door swung open, Guy pasted on a large grin, "Hii --" he readied himself to greet his new employer, only to be met with... what could only be described as a monster. "Hi-aye-aye-..." his trademark joyfulness was momentarily replaced with a deer-in-headlights-like expression. He paused, suffering through an instance of awkward silence during which several thoughts were running through his head.

The most logical of the bunch, was that, well, maybe there were worlds out there where monsters talked and apparently... ran labs. Shaking his head, and himself, free from his instance of uncertainty... he decided to go with it. And somewhere, in the back of his mind, prayed he would never be thrown into the peacock-arachnid hybrid species world Yzma seemed to be from.

"Ah -- sorry! You surprised me there, heh..." the swordsman attempted to laugh it off. After all, the monster obviously couldn't help the way it looked, as unfortunate as that was... He stepped into the building, eyeing the creature down a little more as he entered -- and sighed silently in relief that her throax didn't protrude as much as he suspected it would have.

"Nice place you have here..." he looked around, humoring his host slightly, though trying to sound rather sincere.

At her age? Did that mean she was old? Well. She certainly didn't look young but... how exactly do you tell when it comes to creatures like this? Guy tried not to focus too much on the details. It -- was just easier that way, he figured.

"Right! Actually, back at the mansion I sort of did that kind of thing anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem..." He stopped a moment to consider her question -- realizing just how thirsty the trek had made him.

"Oh, sure, yeah, a drink would be great!" the words were out of his mouth faster than he could shove them back in. Who knew what iguana cockroaches actually drank?! Well. There was no getting out of it now...

Oh. Tea. Well... that was certainly a welcome surprise. He had been expecting a bubbling cauldron, maybe even a small mammal's skull to drink from. How... normal it seemed. Almost like she was human. Live and learn! She must have come from a rather civilized pack of -- whatever she was, exactly.

"No preference, whatever you're having is just fine!" he was beginning to feel a little more at ease in her presence. "So you run a lab, huh? What kind of experiments are you doing in a place like this? Are you from Paixao originally?" Getting to know someone you were working closely with was imporatnt, regardless of their, well, species.

Spooning in some sugar and pouring the milk, Guy nearly slipped as he listened to her response. "Transfigurations?" he questioned, "Are you serious?! That means... turning people into animals doesn't it?" he made no attempt to hide his disbelief. It was something he'd never encountered before, and well, to be honest? It was also a little fascinating to hear.

"Nah, I'm not from this place..." though with his blond hair, perhaps it was easy to think that he could be. "I'm from Auldrant. And I'm pretty sure no one's familiar with something like transfigurations there, a far as I know..."

His next question came cautiously. "You -- uh, have you really tried it on people before?"

A whistle crept its way from between Guy's lips as his suspicions were confirmed. So she did transform people into -- well, creatures. Inwardly, he considered the possibility that that was the reason for her appearance. Heck, maybe Yzma had once been human, too. Of course, that also led him to wonder if her test subjects had been, willing exactly.

"Wh- Whaa?" he couldn't really protest as he was directed down the hallway and positioned in front of a statue. "Pull the lever?" he questioned, an eyebrow arched as he quickly gazed over at his new employer. She was a bit eccentric but... well, she seemed nice enough.

Guy shrugged. "If you say so..." and with that, he reached forward, tugging down on the horns of the beast.

Guy stood there, frozen as the living mummy disappeared. He leaned over the side of the trap door, peering downward as she fell down, and down... and then SPLASH. While footsteps could be heard somewhere in the distance, Guy roared with laughter, stopping himself half a second too late as she reappeared.

He didn't put up a fight as he was pushed aside -- thinking momentarily, phew. At least she wasn't a girl, otherwise...

Composing himself, he took the sack and stared at it wondering if she was serious. Before he could even ask -- down she went.

Leaning over the chute to hear how her landing had gone this time... Seemed okay. Looking back at the sac, he shrugged, and hopped in and down -- laughing, enjoying himself a little on the ride. He was getting some pretty good speed too, and then -- POOF. Onto a large pillow.

"Hey, not bad!" he nodded in approval, getting up and reaching for the coat and goggles she offered.

"A llama?" he echoed, leaning in to inspect the different potions and materials. "Huh. Kind of a strange choice..." but then again, Yzma was a strange creature herself, obviously.

He frowned, the question finally nagging him enough to speak up. "Now when you say extract... you aren't -- you know, hurting these animals or anything, right? I mean, I'm just not sure that's a cause I could get behind exactly..."

However, she probably sympathized with the monster abuse, he figured, being one herself and all.

KJHSAJDH so late ;-;

"On... On me?" he pointed to himself. Not really something he had been planning on volunteering for exactly -- and so he tried to laugh it off with a nervous chuckle, not really answering one way or another. "Ah, well... so sure then," and he moved to casually change the subject, "then, as long as they're okay, I don't see a problem with it. There's lots of strange creatures running around here, anyway, so locating some should be no problem!"

"Heartless and lumens, huh?" He'd heard about them -- and seen a few, as well. Plus, the network system seemed to be filled with bits and pieces of information. "Sure, no problem. Would it... be best if I just caught one of each? Then we could realse them once you have what you need."
