The House of Yzma [Active/Closed]
Character(s): Yzma, Guy
Content: Guy was invited over to Yzma’s home to help as her new lab assistant.
Setting: Promenade Terrance in Yzma’s House
Time: Early Afternoon
Warnings: Just Yzma’s crazy antics~
Yzma lounged on her couch she was having a little snack with grapes while reading a book on chemistry. She was wearing her long elaborate black and purple dress, with a feathered up cap. Yzma flipped the page of her fascinating book as she does find the subject of experimenting with different potions fascinating.
Just outside, one can take a look at Yzma’s home to be something from a dog’s nightmare. The house was made of stone quoins. The style resembled a Queen Anne, but elaborated with statues of different types of cats. These statues were obviously separated from the home, but Yzma was able to find these at a pawnshop and took them home immediately. The more elaborate a home the better she thought. The dark grass was long, but not over grown, though vines still seem to creep up the house. Yzma couldn’t possibly get out there and fix those things herself though, not her age at any rate.
The house was large, but was still considered average enough to be a regular house you would find in a neighborhood. However, it was still creepy and dark enough that one might not approach it at first glance. Yzma didn’t mind that though, to her it was simply something that needed to be worked on later. The real beauty was the basement she worked on downstairs. The lab was the most important thing to this house. That was the real surprise for Guy when he would come over.
As Yzma waited for Guy, she wondered if he wouldn’t mind doing some of the yard work outside. Kronk didn’t seem to mind when he was her lab assistant, though she’s much more concerned with just getting the job done then that. However, doing something extra for the boss like her will award him something great, especially if he’s a good boy and does a good job with his work.

With a smile on his face, he arrived at the area designated Promenade Terrace. Yzma's house was... really easy to pick out. When she (though the fact that she was a 'she' was still unbeknownst to the guardian...) explained the decor... she certainly wasn't lying. There were definitely... a lot of feline-esque statues around.
Oh well! To each his own!
Stepping up to the door, the blonde gave it a solid knock, not quite sure what to expect on the other side...

Yzma opened the door, and grinned, “Ah, Guy is it? Do come in, I’m so glad you decided to arrive.” She waved her hand to Guy to allow him in the house, he seemed like a perfectly nice capable boy, nothing wrong could possibly happen, can it?

The most logical of the bunch, was that, well, maybe there were worlds out there where monsters talked and apparently... ran labs. Shaking his head, and himself, free from his instance of uncertainty... he decided to go with it. And somewhere, in the back of his mind, prayed he would never be thrown into the peacock-arachnid hybrid species world Yzma seemed to be from.
"Ah -- sorry! You surprised me there, heh..." the swordsman attempted to laugh it off. After all, the monster obviously couldn't help the way it looked, as unfortunate as that was... He stepped into the building, eyeing the creature down a little more as he entered -- and sighed silently in relief that her throax didn't protrude as much as he suspected it would have.
"Nice place you have here..." he looked around, humoring his host slightly, though trying to sound rather sincere.

“Thank you darling, it’s rather hard to keep up with the work at my age, but that is why I requested someone who’s willing to do some work, such as yourself. Follow me please,” Yzma glided passed Guy as she led him through the house. It certainly looked like a place that an old dark lady might reside in, most equivalent to her spidery and feline sense of taste. As they reached the hallway she glanced behind to Guy, she remembered that he was new and she should show that she was a wonderful host, “Oh yes, would you perhaps like something to eat or drink?”
no subject
"Right! Actually, back at the mansion I sort of did that kind of thing anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem..." He stopped a moment to consider her question -- realizing just how thirsty the trek had made him.
"Oh, sure, yeah, a drink would be great!" the words were out of his mouth faster than he could shove them back in. Who knew what iguana cockroaches actually drank?! Well. There was no getting out of it now...

“There's some tea you can have, black, green, de-caff, herbal…” Yzma browsing her selection, she glanced back toward Guy, “Any particular preference in mind?”
no subject
"No preference, whatever you're having is just fine!" he was beginning to feel a little more at ease in her presence. "So you run a lab, huh? What kind of experiments are you doing in a place like this? Are you from Paixao originally?" Getting to know someone you were working closely with was imporatnt, regardless of their, well, species.

Pouring a cup of tea for Guy, she handed it to him while she poured herself a cup. She then set the little jars of sugar and milk out in case he was interested. Though she likes to drink her tea straight usually. Yzma then spoke out to Guy again, “I am not from Paixao, I am from the Inca Empire originally, and was once the Empress. However, do to unfortunate circumstances, I am now here. So I must do well with what I can do here,” she conversed as she adjusted herself comfortably, shifting her hips accordingly, “And where are you from Guy? Are you a resident?”
no subject
"Nah, I'm not from this place..." though with his blond hair, perhaps it was easy to think that he could be. "I'm from Auldrant. And I'm pretty sure no one's familiar with something like transfigurations there, a far as I know..."
His next question came cautiously. "You -- uh, have you really tried it on people before?"
no subject
“Of course I’ve tested it on humans before,” Yzma spoke as she set her tea down, “How else would I have known if it worked?” She snickered in glee, as she leaned forward, “You will learn soon Guy, that I create all sorts of things in my lab, I’ll show you! Leave the tea, and follow me!”
At once Yzma got up and ushered Guy to come follow her toward the end of the hall. There was a statue of a head of a bull. The horns looked liked they can be pulled as levers. Yzma stood next to it, and gestured to the horns, “Pull the lever Guy!”
no subject
"Wh- Whaa?" he couldn't really protest as he was directed down the hallway and positioned in front of a statue. "Pull the lever?" he questioned, an eyebrow arched as he quickly gazed over at his new employer. She was a bit eccentric but... well, she seemed nice enough.
Guy shrugged. "If you say so..." and with that, he reached forward, tugging down on the horns of the beast.

“I really need to stop installing that lever,” Yzma grumbled as she squeezed the water out of her dress. She then pushed Guy out of the way to pull the right lever. The wall lifted up reveal a large slide, she handed Guy a sack and spoke, “Keep your arms and legs inside the sack while sliding down at all times.”
Yzma promptly slid down the slide. There were many odd twists and turns. One could bounce up a bit if going down the right speed. Soon as she reached the bottom she rolled onto the large soft pillow. Yzma then got up to put on her lab coat and goggles. Honestly, she wishes she could make a more elaborate ride to the lab, but her options were pretty limited while she was here. Yzma waited at the bottom for Guy to hand him is own pair of lab coat and goggles.

He didn't put up a fight as he was pushed aside -- thinking momentarily, phew. At least she wasn't a girl, otherwise...
Composing himself, he took the sack and stared at it wondering if she was serious. Before he could even ask -- down she went.
Leaning over the chute to hear how her landing had gone this time... Seemed okay. Looking back at the sac, he shrugged, and hopped in and down -- laughing, enjoying himself a little on the ride. He was getting some pretty good speed too, and then -- POOF. Onto a large pillow.
"Hey, not bad!" he nodded in approval, getting up and reaching for the coat and goggles she offered.

Leading the way to the large lab table, Yzma looked over some of the stuff she was experimenting with recently. There were various flasks and beakers, containing unknown liquids, all in different colors and shapes. Some boiling, some cold, some just very strange looking. There were various cabinets as well, containing all sorts of things that were supposedly finished works.
A particular cabinet had many vials with different animal pictures on it. Yzma made her way to show Guy these vials. “Each of these vials contains an extract of an animal. Once someone consumes the potion, they will transform into the animal!” she spoke with pride about her work, holding an extract of llama vial, “For example, if you were to consume this particular liquid, you would turn into a llama.”

He frowned, the question finally nagging him enough to speak up. "Now when you say extract... you aren't -- you know, hurting these animals or anything, right? I mean, I'm just not sure that's a cause I could get behind exactly..."
However, she probably sympathized with the monster abuse, he figured, being one herself and all.

Placing a hand on hip, Yzma turned back to Guy with reassuring smile, “Why no, none of them were harmed, I just simply need the DNA from a creature of some sort. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it contains the DNA. Of course I do require some other ingredients when creating a transfiguration potion, but we won’t worry about that till later.” With a wave of her hand as she led Guy back to the lab table. Yzma was already inspecting some of the specimens that were in the middle of testing.
“Besides…” Yzma glanced to Guy, “I’m sure your curiosity will like to experience some of these transfigurations first hand.” There was a slight smirk on her lips, obviously she was planning on something, but it was all in good time.
KJHSAJDH so late ;-;

“Excellent! Then the first thing we must investigate is the heartless and lumens,” Yzma said while clasping her fingers together in delight, “I know they are supposedly opposites, one of darkness and one of light. I want to see if it’s possible to collect their essence and if it’s possible for one to acquire a transfiguration from these creatures.” She chuckled at the very thought. If these things can be adapted to be created for transfiguration, then it would a brilliant source of power for Yzma to obtain.

“Now, here is where you going to find the creatures,” Yzma pointed with her long nails at the Elysian Fields, “There are an abundance of lumens in this area, they shouldn’t be too hard to spot. Strolling with her finger she tapped at the spot where St. Destino was, “But here, this is where it will get tricky.”
Gesturing to Guy, Yzma elaborated, “Now from what I have heard on the journals, the heartless may pop up anywhere. However! This place seems to have an open port within it to different levels of the castle that just supply in heartless. It seems the one level, Halloween Town has an abundance of these creatures.” Closing the journal, she then put her hand on top of her hip, “I want you to report back to me as soon as you can if you have caught either one or both of these creatures. Any questions?”
