Mindgames [Active, Closed]
Character(s): Sora and Riku
Content: Sora and Riku, both affected by the fog, lose themselves to the virus and a fight ensues!
Setting: Jogo da Crianca park
Time: Week 26, Night, late in the week, just after sunset.
Warnings: VIOLENCE
Again the fog had rolled in, and swirling trails were left behind Riku as he walked into the park. His heart pounded as he looked through the fog with narrowed eyes. A combination of anger and anxiety pulsed through his veins, and the adrenaline was starting to run as thick as the fog. If Sora really had betrayed them, then a battle was likely. He had to stop Sora, here and now, before he hurt anyone. Before he made some of the same mistakes Riku knew he had. His fingertips tingled with the power of Way to the Dawn, within reach whenever he needed it.
It would be easy to hide in the fog. As he approached, he put his hand in his pocket, fingering the strip of black cloth sitting on top of everything else he carried. Riku knew he'd need it. He breathed in deeply, trying to detect any hint of darkness with his now-dulled senses.
He sensed nothing, just that his heart raced faster. Riku balled a fist before flexing his fingers.

He wasn't sure why Riku wanted to talk, but whatever it was, he was wrong. Sora hadn't done anything out of the ordinary the last few days, nothing that warranted anything like this.

"Yeah." He eyed Sora from a lowered face. "I've seen the coat. Wanna tell me what's going on?"
no subject
"Coat? What coat?" Sora replied, glaring at Riku, he wasn't usually the type to try and make up stories.

Riku stepped several steps closer. "What are you doing in the Organization?"
no subject
Sora just continued to glare at Riku. What was Riku thinking?! Did he honestly think Sora would be a part of the bad guys. That was more like something Riku would do.
no subject
"Weren't you wondering who was following you yesterday? You sure seemed to close that Dark Corridor pretty fast."

"What do you mean by that? I haven't done anything!"
no subject
"And I thought you were stronger than that."

With readied fingers Riku held his arm out slightly at his side.

"Y'know, the last time I saw you, coat and all, I heard another voice. And it sounded just like Kairi." He stepped menacingly close. "Where is she?"

He closed his eyes and held out his hand. "This is for your own good, Sora." Into his hand Way to the Dawn appeared. "You and for Kairi."

Sora got on guard and prepared for whatever Riku was about to throw at him.

He took up his readied stance, one hand outstretched. He flipped it over, beckoning him on with his fingers.
"What are you waiting for? Scared 'cuz you're caught?"

Sora really didn't want to get into a fight with Riku, but if he was making the same mistakes again, and had fallen into Darkness again, then, well, what else what there for him to do?
He ran toward Riku, trying to build up the momentum in his first swing before it connected.

He had been expecting for Riku to at least try to counter his attack, if not actually connecting the hit. So the lack of resistance against the Keyblade coupled with Riku's attack connecting with his legs sent Sora tumbling in the grass.
no subject
But he did trip. Riku would settle for that. His pant legs wet from the dew, he rolled to his side and pushed up with his free hand. As soon as he slid to a stop, he charged Sora again, Keyblade held in both hands like a lancer planning to catch his rival with the point of his weapon.

The delicate blade portion of Oathkeeper would fit nicely into that notch between wing and horn...
And if so, it was a matter of ripping it out of Sora's hands. Though Sora was excellent at resummoning his Keyblade, it would buy Riku a brief but precious opening.
