The Beginning an Adventure. [Closed]

Character(s): Monkey D. Luffy
Content: Simply Luffy's Entrance to Paixao.
Setting: Outside the Joutenheim Gate.
Time: Early Morning
Warnings: None

A storm was coming. The Straw Hats had no idea what was going on, all except for one. Nami, the Navigator. She had been sunbathing all after noon, but as soon as the wind changed course she knew something was wrong.

"MINNA! A cyclone is coming!" As Nami yelled to her nakama, the sky had turned dark and foreboding. Already off in the distance bright flashes of lightning danced across the top of the water, just before the sea began to to churl and break. The mighty Going Merry had seen worse times, but it was nearing the end of its life, and everyone knew that.

"Nani?" Came from Zoro and Luffy as they both woke up at the same time. Sanji was already tying down the sails, among other things that they had to do each time the ship went through a storm.

"We need to steer away from that cyclone!" screamed Nami as a cyclone touched down only a few hundred meters from the ship.

"HAI NAMI-SWAN! yelled Sanji with a loving tone as he used all his force to turn the rudder. Zoro was helping Usopp to tie the sails as Luffy leaned over the railing, holding his hat on his head with one hand.

"SUGOI!" exclaimed Luffy as he watched them get even closer to the cyclone despite their best efforts. "I wonder what's inside!" Chopper had pulled himself up on the railing next to Luffy, imitating the captain by yelling sugoi and copying his facial expression.

"I don't want to die!" Usopp yelled, crying at the same time. Something strange happened then. Instead of the ship being pulled into the cyclone, instead its passengers were lifted up by some unseen force. "N-N-Nani?"

"Minna!" Luffy yelled to his friends as he was pulled up into the cyclone, separating from his nakama. The last sight he remembered in the cyclone was Zoro screaming as hard as he could, trying to get to Luffy. Then everything just went black, like a candle being extinguished.

When Luffy finally came to, he found he was sleeping on a bed of grass, that felt odd. Upon closer inspection Luffy realized it was like jewels were placed in the grass. For a brief second his mind was thinking about an adventure, where ever he was, then it switched back to finding his friends. Looking around the open field he turned around to see a huge gate in front of him, with two Giants forming an arch. Luffy had never seen something so big, so grand, in his life. It was almost as if he was under a spell as he stood there with his mouth hanging open.

"Hey you there! Yeah you! I've been calling you forever! Come over here!" The voice came from a booth at the bottom of the gate. Snapping out of his trance Luffy cautiously walked to the booth, scratching his head. "You've been out cold for three days. I never thought someone could sleep so much. Never mind that, what's your name?" he asked the boy, looking down at something in front of him.

"My name is Monkey D. Luffy. I'm going to be the Pirate King!" Luffy nearly yelled this, but it didn't seem to impress the man.

"Monkey D. Luffy? What kind of name is that? Whatever, you're here on my list. You can enter."

The gate opened just enough so Luffy could slip through, and so he did, taking a scared hop forward as the gate creaked to a close. "Where am I?"

"This is the city of Paixao. Welcome," said some kind of official, dressed cleanly, wearing some kind of badge. "We hope you enjoy your stay. Please, take these as a gift." The man handed Luffy some kind of tablet, and a small bag. Taking the gifts Luffy looked at the items in his hands unsure of what was going on.

"Have you seen my friends?" Luffy asked, without picking up his head. When he did he found that he was alone on an empty street, the gate closed behind him, and not a soul in sight. "I guess I'll just have to go on an adventure to find them!" A smile again found its way to Luffy's face as he headed off on a new adventure.
