The next person who came wandering by wouldn't be a particularly familiar one to her, but Grace knew Sara on sight. She couldn't remember the woman's name, as they had only spoken once and everything looked different from the perspective of a nine-foot-tall yellow-eyed feline creature. They saw the world a little differently than humans did. Not by much, but a little.
This time, Sara was Grace's height rather than several feet smaller. Grace paused in her walk. She'd taken to getting to know some of the city dwellers and she could forget the kindness this woman had shown to her. Knowing Sara wouldn't recognize her (though it was always possible she'd notice similarities in facial structure and voice), Grace approached cautiously.
"You look like you've heard about the bullshit new law they've placed on us recently." Which was true. Sara looked about as pissed off as Grace had been when she'd heard.
