And You Thought Harry Potter Had Problems....[Active, Open]

Character(s): Remus Lupin, open to anyone.
Content: Remus wakes up after the disastrous night of the full moon, and slowly comes to realize what he had done.
Setting: We're gonna start at the church and see where it takes us.
Time: Late afternoon after the full moon, but before he starts talking to Jake via journals.
Warnings: A bit of nudity and blood at the beginning I suppose... Oh yeah. Angst, drama, and maybe a little more angst.

Remus awoke to find himself back in the church. The light from the setting sun had shone through the now broken window and into his eyes, not only rousing him from sleep, but causing pounding in his head. He rolled over to face away from the light, an action that was much more painful than he remembered, even after a full moon. It was then that he noticed the pool of blood on the floor...

Despite having a throbbing headache, Remus immediately pushed himself up and scooted away from the puddle of blood he had been laying in and realized that a lot of it had come from him as a sharp pain shot through his chest and side. Along with the headache, he also felt dizzy and lightheaded. Remus also realized that he was naked, and saw his torn clothes in the middle of the floor, along with his wand which had rolled closer to the opposite wall. In addition to this, there was an awful taste of blood in his mouth.

Slowly realizing what must have happened the night before, along with the various wounds he had received, Remus almost passed out again, but he managed to crawl and grab his wand along with his cloak. He knew spells to at least put some bandages around his wounds, and he managed to do so for the worst of them, but he ended up passing out again, his cloak just draping over him and his hand barely grasping his wand.

With no need to ask for someone's services, Kida dressed in attire better-suited for exploration, and much more comfortable at that.. She'd bought from Folio's something they were calling a "heavy lance." Unlike a normal lance, it sported no hand guard, but instead an ornate and unusual head that looked like it could also be used as a hook. Though very differently shaped than what she was accustomed to and a little shorter, Kida adapted easily to the new weapon.

However, Kida didn't anticipate needing to bring it at the ready before she even left to go to another floor. Before her laid a man, nearly nude and bandaged, barely drug away from a pool of blood. How he'd managed to bind his wounds in that state she had no clue, but the bandages themselves looked nearly soaked-though. Whether it was because of the blood everywhere or because he had bled through himself, she was unsure.

A quick look around and she saw no one but herself and the man. Setting her spear to the side, she removed her crystal and flipped the stranger over. She hesitated slightly. To heal his wounds properly, shed need to remove the bandages, but that would raise suspicions. Though it was possible to do, the accuracy of the healing went down.

And then she noticed the blood on her hands. A brief thought and she realized she could explain it away later. Kida quickly got to work, healing the worst of his wounds within a couple minutes.

With a sigh, Kida covered him again and went to stand several feet away. Whatever attacked this man would have to face her, as well.

*Fail-short. Sorry!*

At a slight sound behind her, Kida looked back to the source of the cracking voice. She saw the young man moving and went quickly to his side. "Do not overexert yourself. It appears you lost much blood, if it is your own I see. You need water and rest."

Kida looked up from him and glanced around. All seemed safe, still. "Tell me. What did this to you?"

[identity profile] crystalchamber.livejournal.com 2010-09-24 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Kida frowned. She had seen no fresh water close by, nor did she have a waterskin; it was short-sighted she realized, for her own explorations. Though she and her fellow hunters had been hurt before, severe blood-loss was rare, as they were able to heal their own wounds fast enough. And even then, running water was rarely hard to find in the caverns.

"I have few options to help you. I could leave and return in a few hours with water, but what attacked you might return. The other is I could help you return to the city, but I fear it may do you more harm than good at this time." She gave a sigh. "What do you want me to do?"

[identity profile] crystalchamber.livejournal.com 2010-10-03 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
Biting her lower lip, Kida nodded. "Very well." She pulled the man's cloak around him better with the same gentle touch as a mother tucking in her child. "I will return soon."

. . .

Kida did her best to pole vault her way back, but her current weapon lacked both much of the length of her normal spear and the flex as well. Though it still improved her speed, It wasn't to the normal degree she craved. To her frustration she was turned away from the shop initially, forcing her to throw a dress-code-appropriate dress over her explorer clothes before buying three canteens. Kida didn't care that she then left the dress on the floor of her home, and probably didn't notice that the faucet was still dripping when she left. The woman had other things on her mind.

It was indeed a few hours before she returned. The canteens weighed her down, and she arrived breathing deeply. She got to her knees by the man's side, undoing the lid to a canteen.

Wolf panicked as he searched through Paixao. Trying his best to sniff out for Remus. He just hopes that the boy is all right wherever he is. Wolf kept grumbling and blaming himself for the full moon incident. While Wolf doesn’t remember what all that happened, he knew that he did hurt Remus while he was in full out wolf form. It was just that he couldn’t control his animal instincts for domination and territory. Though he didn’t really want to do that to Remus. Wolf knew they got along fine as humans at least.

After a while Wolf was able to catch his scent. He made his was into the Elysian Fields as soon as the guards weren’t looking. Huffing and puffing he ran toward the church in desperation. Hoping that the boy was all right, and not damaged too badly. When Wolf reached the steps, he smelt Remus’ scent inside. He quickly opened the doors and shouted, “Remus!!”

There was a pause, Wolf found Remus on the ground with a woman helping him. He walked quickly over to him and trying to catch his breath, “Goodness me! Awwwoo… Are you alright? I don’t remember much of what happened but-”

Wolf gazed at his injuries and made a very sad look, his voice became soft “…I did this, didn’t?” He looked to the ground in shame.

Though the youth she was helping may not have reacted to the intrusion, Kida did. Since her spear was a few feet away, Kida drew her knife immediately, slopping water on Remus's front. But with the lack of concern over each other's presence and concern more over the health and past actions of each other, Kida slowly returned her knife and offered Remus more water.

Kida looked over her shoulder at the newcomer. "What has happened here?" she inquired, her voice deep and grave.

Looking down away from the other two, as if it hurt for Wolf to look at them. He gritted his teeth in regret, though he wasn’t entirely sure if it was all right for him to talk about this with the lady who was helping Remus out. Wolf apologetically looked at Remus, looking around to see if there anything he could do. He spoke softly, “It was… A full moon last night and I… We…”

Wolf closed his eyes, wincing at what dream like memories he had. He whimpered slightly in his wolf like tone. Looking over at them again, “Lost control… I lost control, I couldn’t…”

Hesitating as if worried that Wolf might get pushed away, he got closer to Remus, he slowly took off his coat and put it around him to keep his body warm. He looked over with the injuries, thinking he should find something to cover them, looked at the lady who was helping Remus, “…What can I do to help?”

"A full moon? What did you lose control of? I understand the origin of the word 'lunacy,' but do you mean you grow insane while the moon is brightest?" Kida looked dubiously at Wolf, head cocked and brow raised. She had heard many myths from her own cultures and others, thanks to Milo, of bizarre things happening during the full moon. In fact, it had been said in her own culture that once, long ago, a full, literally blue moon was seen in place of a new moon. This "full moon" shined with the brilliance of a great star, and fell from the heavens to become the Heart of Atlantis.

Kida sighed. "I know not right now. He needs a doctor, but he is in no state to travel of his own accord. ...It is strange, there is much blood here for these wounds. One would expect them to be much more severe." Of course, the reason there weren't more severe wounds was because Kida tended to the potentially-life-threatening ones. Without lying she covered her own tracks. After a brief pause she looked to the newcomer. "Perhaps a stretcher? Is there a way we might construct one?" The woman thought also of the strange creatures in the fields, hoping they would be of no threat.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-10-15 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf sighed, it wouldn’t be fair to Remus if he explained exactly why, though he was willing to take the blame if any beans were spilt. It wasn’t like this place was full of those typical anti-wolf villagers anyway. However, he didn’t want Remus to get in trouble either. Wolf looked at Kida with a nod, “Yea, I typically go insane and loose control of myself during the full moon, I usually try and keep myself away from others during that time. Remus just was caught at the wrong place at the wrong time, and we had a fight.”

Though it was foolish of Wolf to mention the full moon, he was in a bit of panic about situation. I mean Remus was almost completely unconscious with blood all over him for goodness sake! Wolf looked over in concern, “But that doesn’t matter right now… We could make a stretcher, but it might be quicker for us if I just carried him out.”

Wolf reached over and picked up Remus, “Hey buddy, you think you can make it?” He eyed the door, which led to the field out there. If those creatures were to attack him, he would make sure they’d make a run for it. So far they’ve been pretty easy to avoid though. Wolf glanced over to Kida as he got up holding Remus, “I’m sorry, I don’t think we ever introduced ourselves, what’s your name?”

[identity profile] crystalchamber.livejournal.com 2010-11-04 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Kida looked extremely concerned at the older man's explanation. "I have heard not of such lunacy," she stated with a determined tone. However, she had no look beyond the concern, unable to help and unable to discern any cause for such mental illness. Regardless, given the man's reactions to the situation, he was at least attempting to curb these terrible acts.

Perhaps she could offer her own skills as a warrior to be a guard for him. But that offer would have to wait to be seen. In the meantime, her eyes widened slightly as the youth was picked up. She was no doctor, but she hesitated to move the body like that. However, if they should be attacked, at least she could be a form of defense this way.

"My name is Kidagakash. Many simply call me Kida." She offered a small smile at the younger, remembering the older man's cry. "Your name is Remus, is it not?" She looked to the older. "And what is your name?"

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf shook it off. The subject probably shouldn’t be pushed any further than that. Though it was good that he was able to figure out a good excuse for the time, if it means saying that he has moments of madness, then that will just have to do. As they walked outside of the church into the Elysian Fields, Wolf conversed with Kida.

“It’s nice to meet you Kida, thank you so much for helping my friend, my name is Wolf,” introducing himself to her as he carried Remus. He’s hoping that they can make it to his apartment in time to help him heal. “I got some bandages and some medicine I got from the store at my apartment, hopefully that’ll be enough to help him. We should at least let him rest there, while I get anything else that can help him heal.”

Wolf couldn’t help but look over the injuries. It was almost a dream like memory. He can’t remember whether he himself caused most of these or not, some look like it may have been caused by someone else. He’ll have to ask Remus once he’s well rested.

[identity profile] crystalchamber.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
"It is a pleasure, Wolf," Kida said, bowing her head slightly. "How could I do anything else?" She continued to listen to the list the man rattled off. "I have learned how to bind wounds very well. His bleeding has slowed considerably, but I can take care of what remains.

If need be, Kida knew, she could aid any healing along a little faster, provided that Wolf was away and Remus was still unconscious. As she glanced to Remus, she saw his eyes slowly close. Kida's eyes widened slightly as she looked to make sure he was still breathing. Reassured, she faced ahead to the serenely glowing grasses, readying her spear as she walked.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-11-14 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf nodded, as he repositioned to adjust his arms while holding Remus making sure he was all right, “That would be much appreciated. We can do that once we can lay him down on a proper bed.”

Glancing down, Wolf also noticed Remus’ fading consciousness, he grimaced, worried beyond belief over his companion. Hoping Lumen in the fields wouldn’t attack them they went through the fields. Wolf’s apartment wasn’t too far according to him, though it seemed like it was taking a longer time as they reached the gate. The only thing that seem to plague Wolf’s mind if Remus were to forgive him for this, it wasn’t that unusual that other wolves could find resentment of another. Though it’s been a while since he’s ever been in an actual pack.

It’s not that Wolf minded any of that, he just feels nice to have someone to relate to every once in a while. As they walked a couple of blocks into Paixao, Wolf snapped out of his daze to Kida, “Oh sorry, I was so quiet, I’m just… I’m just worried, I hope he’s going to be alright.”

*Fail*

"That sounds wise. It would be needless to hurt him worse on hard ground."

It seemed a long journey across the fields. The late afternoon light would have made their shadows long had they not been cast fruitlessly on the glowing plants. Occasionally a slight rustle or a pale head poking from the tall blades would be a disconcerting reminder that the three were not alone. A few Lumen glanced towards Kida as they passed, but they did nothing other than watch. She surmised it was because she glowed herself, or rather, her necklace did.

"No, I understand well. Our concerns pertain mutually to Remus. I did not speak either." The queen believed it was because he was concentrating as hard on the task ahead as she was. At least now that they were away from the fields they could lower their guard. "Where is your home?

As Wolf carried Remus through the Niflheim Gate he glanced toward the northwest of Paixao. He spoke to Kida, “We live in the Iriela Apartments, Remus moved in with me recently there,” which is good in case Remus would need anything of his, “It shouldn’t be too long from here, follow me.”

While leading the way to Wolf’s apartment, he glanced back at Kida, he wondered if she had a home somewhere. “I hope it’s not too from where you live,” Wolf said, hoping it wasn’t too inconvenient for her. He would offer to walk with her back home if it is far though.

[identity profile] crystalchamber.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
An intrigued little half-smile slid its way over her face when they mentioned where they lived. She followed, as instructed, assuming she knew what set of the Iriela Apartments they meant. If so, it was one of the places she had considered living herself, thanks to the open-mindedness of the people who owned it. It was the proximity of the library to the other location, however, that ultimately drew her to Iriela Apartments II.

She hummed a soft chuckle. "No, it is not, but regardless of proximity, Remus must be cared for." Both statements were quite true in her mind. Remus did need medical attention. Being a warrior and huntress, Kida was also used to traveling long distances in a day. Two and a half miles was little concern for her.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-11-24 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf smiled at her, this girl was really nice for helping them. He definitely will have to repay her for her kindness someday back. Wolf nodded in gratitude, and continued to lead them toward the Iriela Apartments. Carrying Remus all the way, his arms were beginning to hurt, but he ignored that for now.

Soon enough they reached the apartment complex, one could see that this was first of the Iriela Apartments, not the second one. So it was a bit more average looking. Wolf held Remus close to him as they entered the building. Once they came to the door of apartments, Wolf gently put Remus down to open the door, after he unlocked it, he picked up Remus again to bring him to the couch. He glanced over to Kida as he set him down, “Could you look after him while I fetch for some blankets? I’m also gonna get more water for him.”
