Judge Magister Checking In
Character(s): Reddas, Open
Content: Guess who's coming todinner Paixao?
Setting: Joutenheim
Time: Week 24
Warnings: None I can think of you.
Reddas had still been driving the Sword of Kings into the explosive Sun Cryst when an immense flash of light had enveloped him. He still screamed through the entire encounter with the unknown force, ending when his mouth had filled with ocean water. He was a pirate, but it still troubled himt o have to swim through water wearing heavy leather clothes. He had to exert a great deal of his strength in order to get close enough to the coast to walk out. Fortunately, when he had arrived there, he had quickly become accustomed to his surroundings. It reminded him of his own Balfonheim, except for a few differences.
"Sir?"
He turned to his side while standing soaked on the coastline. There was a handsome blond haired man looking to him and showing his hand to a line of people all going toward a gate. He dusted off what he could from his pants and his beard. "I apologize. Where am I at the moment?"
"If you get in line, sir."
It was all the man would say, despite the desperation in Reddas' voice to know where he was. The lost pirate king had asked again and again as the line moved, until he had moved to the front of the line, standing in front of a podium mounted by a man holding a stockpile of strange devices. Reddas received one of them and was welcomed to a place called Paixao. He looked to the people behind him, who waited patiently, and to the people bustling throughout the city streets, all concerned with their own purposes.
"It appears I will have to concern myself with an individual agenda as well. Fortunately, I have one: justice," he said to himself, striding into the city and brainstorming for a grassroots takeover.

Sorry it took me so long! D:
He passed by the gate where more and more arrivals seemed to be flowing in everyday, and then one of them really caught his eye. Just like Link, he wasn't dressed in the flamboyant clothes everyone else was wearing, so perhaps he had come from a different world? Even if he wasn't, he looked interesting enough to check out, so Link approached him.
He didn't hear the muttering about justice, so he just casually strolled over. "Hi. I guess you're new here, huh?"
Sorry I'm taking so long with my own tag! :\
When Link had approached him, he was knee deep in thought and quickly snapped out of it. It was almost frightening, but he could tell that Link was unlike the others he had seen around the city.
"My gratitudes, I did not see you. Yes, it seems my new home has taken initiative in granting me shelter ere I even considered it."
LOL, is ok. Hearts and cookies for the Mateo!
"Yeah. I still haven't really found a place to stay." He looked around at the various buildings in the surrounding area. "I've just been staying in the park, though I heard that if you collect enough of the fake leaves and flowers that you can get a room at an inn, or even an apartment." Link chose not to do so, as he enjoyed being outside much more than being stuffed inside an old room, though, in his opinion, being in this damned dome was still "inside."

"Is there a vacancy that does not require currency?" he asked, hoping for a place of the scoundrels and pirates of this world. Home was never home without some rabblerousing happening.

"Uhm, well, I haven't run in to one yet, but I heard if you collect a bunch of the leaves and other shiny things like that, you can buy a room." Link stepped close to a nearby 'tree' and picked off a shiny leaf, looking like a emerald shining in the fake sunlight. He handed it to the scruffy man. "I'm not sure how it works, but you do the same thing to get food and other stuff too."
Link then remembered the new...'law' about appropriate clothing passed by the mayor of the city. "There's also some sort of weird dress code going around, and some shops won't let you in unless you dress like everyone else around here. There are a few shops that ignore that though, but sometimes they're hard to find." The dress code had not pleased Link. The clothes they wanted him to wear would not help him in a fight at all. They were stiff and uncomfortable looking, and there was no way he would try to fit in by wearing them.

"I see. Perhaps a collection of foliage would do well for getting acclimated with this city. I thank you for your help and compassion. My name is Reddas from the city of Balfonheim in the land of Ivalice," he said, offering his hand in friendship.
He looked over his own clothes, including the camel shirt with over-sized collar and the pink trousers. He looked up and said with all the sincerity possible, "Again, I favor your counsel. However, I fear not these restrictions. I am dressed appropriately." He patted Link's shoulder.

"I'm Link. From Hyrule." He thought it was weird saying where he was from along with his name, but Reddas from the city of something-or-other in the land of that-one-place had done it, so Link thought he'd do it as well.
Link gazed at Reddas' wardrobe as well. The pink trousers were a bit odd to him, but he didn't have any complaints about it. Link felt a little awkward being patted on the shoulder by a guy he just met, but he played along anyway. "I agree. I don't really pay attention to the restrictions myself. I don't see what's the big deal, I mean, as long as people aren't running around in the nude or anything like that."

Reddas laughed, particularly with Link's last comment. "I do long for the presence of my crew, who would readily agree and rebut your views at once. Especially Elza (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b144/myaje/Dscn0216.jpg)."

"There's not much to hear about Hyrule right now." Link sighed a bit, the fact that he still had a lot to accomplish when he returned was still very much on his mind. The information that Sheik had given him about this place was also a burden to him at the moment as well, but he did his best to hide it in the presence of this guy.
"Your crew? Are you a ship's captain?" Link immediately perked at the idea. He had never seen the ocean, though he knew that such wonders existed, just not within the boundaries of Hyrule. Link might have had his own stories to tell, but he liked to listen to the stories of others. Besides, a story from this guy would probably be pretty exciting, and it would also give him a break from his responsibilities for a little bit.
