Hey Sora, can you spare a cup of emo? [Active/Closed]

(I couldn't help myself with the title, don't shoot me! XD)
Character(s): Sora, Riku, Woody maybe
Content: Riku stops by for a random visit and finds his friend feels down.
Setting: Sora's pad. XD
Time: Week 24
Warnings: Sora is emo? Heck's expecting a blizzard.

Sora's apartment was close by. That was the advantage of the Townhouses. It was a silent walk, or as silent as it ever is in that area. There was always the bustle around him and the soft murmur of people going about their business in early afternoon. A few minutes walk and he reached Sora's door and gave it a rap rather than using the knocker.

Riku hadn't been to that new floor yet. And he looked forward to planning it out with his best friend.

The new floor was the last thing on Sora's mind, he was too distracted with the mess he had made with Simba.

Yeah, he had met new friends, and found that cool old toy, but that couldn't distract him from the problem with Simba. And now his daughter had shown up and made herself known to Scar. Sora was trying to sit on his hands for now, not wanting to make it worse, but that just wasn't his nature. What if Kiara got hurt by Scar...

When Sora heard the knock on the door he went to answer it, "Oh, hey, Riku," he said tiredly, and invited him into the room.

"Hey, Sora. Thanks." Riku gave Sora his usual slick smirk when his friend answered the door, but the look slowly faded as he observed the notable lack of enthusiasm from Sora that normally followed seeing any friend. Riku walked into the living room and casually plopped himself down into a comfortable arm chair. He leaned forward with his elbows on his legs.

After a pause where he just looked at Sora a moment, he said, "Hey. What's eating you?"

"Nothing," Sora lied, as he flopped onto a couch and started fiddling with the old cowboy doll in his hands. To someone like Riku it would a really obvious lie. It was written all over Sora's posture and face that something was bothering him, he was just, kind of reluctant to bring Riku into it at the moment.

"Yeah, right." Riku raised his brows at the toy Sora was fiddling with, but he was more concerned over his friend's strange behavior. "C'mon, Sora, you know me better than that. Really. What's up?"

"I... I think I messed up big time, Riku," Sora said, his voice breaking slightly, "I told Scar that I knew he killed Simba's father, and Simba overheard"

He looked down at the doll in his hands, "I... I think Simba hates me."

He couldn't stand the idea that one of his friends that he cared about so dearly could hate him.

"...He hates you... why again?"

The teen leaned back with narrowed eyes. "I know this place can do strange stuff to your memories when the right person's running things. But last I checked, didn't Simba think he killed his own father? Shouldn't Simba he glad he actually didn't?"

Riku shrugged. "What's the problem?"

"Because he... I think he trusts Scar, way too much." There was a very slight hint of venom in Sora's voice when he said Scar's name, how Simba could possibly trust Scar after all he did to him was beyond Sora.

"Riku, he threatened to rip my face off!" Sora said.

A look of concerned determination - or maybe it was protectiveness - crossed Riku's face.

"So. He doesn't remember any of it. And far as he's concerned Scar's family." He crossed both legs and arms. "And he's mad that you accused a loved one of doing something he thinks he's responsible for."

Sora looked to the floor again. Riku was right. There was no disputing it. "I know." Sora said simply, "I should have been more careful with what I said. And now Simba doesn't want anything to do with me"

He sighed, and looked back up at Riku.

"But now his daughter's here, and... and I don't want Scar to hurt her. Simba wouldn't want that either." Of course, he meant the Simba back home. The one that knew him. The one that had a daughter.

Riku closed his eyes a second. He mumbled, "He had a daughter. That's news."

Off to one side of this table of numbers was a simple two plus two. "But if Simba doesn't remember you, and he still thinks he killed his father, he can't remember his daughter, either. Does Scar even know she's his daughter? Or that he doesn't remember her?"

"All that information is out there for everyone to see on the journals, Riku, if Scar doesn't know already, he's gonna." Sora replied, "And she already told Simba who he was."

The teen remained quiet for a moment, lifting a knuckle to his mouth in thought. "...Then Scar should know Simba wouldn't quite have the emotional attachment to his daughter that he should have. She's a target, but not as much as you might think. And if she comes from the future, can't she tell Simba about Scar? Shouldn't she know if its from her parents' past?"

"The Simba here wouldn't, but there's still a Simba out there, that will be upset if she gets hurt, or worse, killed," Sora explained, he knew that the Simba here didn't think of Kiara as a daughter, and when it came to what would happen if Kiara got hurt, he wasn't the Simba Sora was worried about in the long run. "and I can't let that happen to him"

Riku sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Sora. I get that. But what I'm saying is Scar may not use Kiara to get at Simba if he realizes she doesn't mean as much to him."

"But that doesn't make her safe either," he said, recrossing his arms. "Especially since you've said openly that you know who Kiara is and that you and Simba are supposed to be friends. If he goes after Kiara, it may not be to get at Simba. It may be to get at you."

"Look. If Simba doesn't want to accept the truth about Scar, even when multiple sources are telling him this, there's nothing we can do. Just continue trying to keep him safe. And Kiara, too. Who knows, maybe you'll save Simba's life and he'll open his eyes."

It wasn’t that Woody felt uncomfortable being taken in by Sora. It was just that he already had an owner back home. At least, wherever home is. After talking with some of the folks who lived here, apparently there really was no way out. No one has been able to find it yet and this cowboy wasn’t going to give up till he found it. Woody knew he had to get back to his friends, and Bonnie. He can’t let himself get stuck here forever after all.

Though, this kid Sora, he was rather nice. However, it was just kinda sad to see him down like this. He just hopes that he could be able to cheer him up, though hopefully Sora won’t be too grown up for him. There is a good chance he might be. The kid is in his teens.

When Woody saw Riku came in, he was somewhat relieved. If the guy was Sora’s friend he should be able to talk with him out about his troubles. Sadly for Woody he can’t do anything, but be a cute soft toy for hugs and of course provide some feedback with his voice box quotes.
