To venture out or not [Completed]
Character(s): Blue and Tear
Content: Blue isn't so sure going through the fields is a good idea, after her last attempt.
Setting: Niflheim Gate
Time: HIGH NOON. ... yeah.
Warnings: None atm.
Sitting squarely in the entrance of the Niflheim Gate sits a deep-colored canine. Blue is very much lost in thought as she stares out across the fields. The man at the gate was leaving her be as she hadn't yet tried to run out. She wasn't so sure she wanted to. Last time had been... well, she wasn't too sure, honestly. It had been a mess from the start, someone causing an explosion as a distraction for them to get out. But it hadn't been too long after that that they had been attacked.
It seems leaving the domes had become easier since then. But was it worth it? Home was not somewhere she wanted to see if she could go; it was unlikely it was even possible for her. Paixao had long since come a replacement. It certainly was in a better condition than that dying world.
The woman, Urd, she had mentioned that there were doors leading to other worlds. It sounded so absurd, but the curiosity was nagging.
What else was out there?
Danger, instincts and memory reminded her.
Her head lowers slightly.
She wasn't getting anywhere with this.

I apologize profusely for this...
As it happened, the melodist was passing the Niflheim Gate when she spotted a large dark form. It seemed to be an animal of some sort, and since creatures of this sort were rare within Paixao, she stepped slowly towards it to get a closer look. A moment's study revealed that the animal was a dog. A rather charming dog, that Tear wouldn't have minded scratching behind the ears - assuming it was friendly and tame.
Tear hoped her movements wouldn't frighten it away. She approached it slowly, ready just in case it should prove dangerous.
"Are you lost...?" she asked gently.
...It really was a charming dog. And cute.
Apologies? Nonsense!
"Oh, I'm sorry. No, I'm quite fine, just..." She looks back out towards the fields. "Lost in thought, I guess." She smiles.

The melodist tried not to stare, though a slight blush came to her face. She brought a hand up close to her chest while the other remained lowered, mere inches from the knife at her thigh - just in case.
"I beg your pardon, I didn't..." her voice trailed off. Not sure how to phrase her thoughts without seeming rude, Tear shook her head slightly.
"Might I ask what it is you're considering? Perhaps I could be of some help."
no subject
Blue glances back towards the fields, folding her arms over her knees and resting her head down upon them. She doesn't answer for some time, and then, her voice comes softly, "Have you been out there? To these... other world - floors - that people have spoken about?"
no subject
"I'm afraid I haven't," Tear answered, folding her arms loosely in front of her and following Blue's line of vision, "Though I do know of someone who has. The longer I spend in this city, the more I think exploring them would be beneficial to everyone."
no subject
She nods. She understands what the woman means. "It might be good, I'm sure. I never knew there was more out there." She tightens her hands over her knees. She would never forget. "When I went along time ago, we didn't make it far." She frowns and watches Tear. "I guess I'm just worried about it." She lets out a small chuckle. "But at the same time I want to know."
no subject
Tear finally pulled her gaze away and turned her attention back to Blue.
"There's always danger associated with traveling somewhere unfamiliar, but I think sometimes it's worth taking the risk."
no subject
"Maybe we should see for ourselves then, hm?"
no subject
"Yes, perhaps you're right about that. In any case, nothing comes from doing nothing."
Tear watched the ground thoughtfully for a moment, then raised her head.
"By the way, I'm Locrian Sergeant Tear Grants. If you're ever in need of a healer, please don't hesitate to contact me."
no subject
"I'm Blue." She laugh a little. "Just Blue. I'll be sure to keep in touch if I need it." She pauses thoughtfully. "And if I don't."
