Werewolves [Completed, Closed]
Character(s): Remus Lupin, Wolf
Content: Wolf and Remus meet. Poor Paixao.
Setting: Elysian Fields
Time: Shortly after Remus' intro thread.
Warnings: None I can think of.
Remus had spent some time wandering around the city after speaking with Braska and that dark guy. The information they provided him was helpful, though depressing. As the day wore on, Remus began to get a little weaker, a little more sickly. Apparently, there was a full moon on it's way in this place, which gave the student a lot to think about. He managed to find another gate, and he walked outside the city, but not before being stopped by one of the gatekeepers. He glared and ignored him and went on his way. This wasn't Hogwarts, so he was sure there wouldn't be any penalties for leaving town for a bit. It's not like he would wander too far from the city since he didn't know what was out there. Well, at least not yet.
Remus found a spot in the grass to sit and watch the strange balls of light fall from the sky. He took out his wand and tried to touch one with it, but the orb simply broke apart, the light dissolving away into darkness. Normally, he would be awed by such things, but the fact that he would be transforming within a day or two without anywhere to go to isolate himself from the rest of the population made him worry. Not only would his secret get out, but he could also kill someone, or worse, turn someone into a werewolf like himself. So far, he had found no place in the city where he could shut himself in. He layed back in the soft grass, watching the orbs of light continue to fall as if they were snow flakes, and tried to clear his head.

This wasn’t what Wolf should be thinking of at all though. He bit his bottom lip and whimpered as he walked toward the Niflheim gate. Wolf needed just time to himself for a while, away from everyone else. He didn’t want to bother anyone with his monthly urges right now. Wolf waited till the guard became distracted for a bit, and snuck past him swiftly into the Elysian Fields. As he walked into the grassy plains, he started to growl and grumble to himself, “Why does this have to come now of all times. Grrrrf, I did not need to see that… that… terrible, nasty illusion of my Virginia! I can’t get it out of my head, I can’t-”
Freezing, a scent reached Wolf’s nose another wolf was nearby. He could tell, slowly he turned around, his eyebrow arched. Wolf spotted the boy who was nearby. He stared at him for a bit. Suddenly feeling a little bit calmer, there was someone he could relate to, possibly. Wolf sighed and then spoke out to him, “Hey there. You feeling alright?”
no subject
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little under the weather is all." That was an understatement. He felt awful, and it wasn't just the symptoms from his condition bringing him down. Remus managed to push himself up so that he was now sitting up, but not without a little pain from his achy muscles. He also remembered to put his wand back in his pocket. He had no idea if the Ministry of Magic knew about this place, but if it did, then he couldn't go around casting spells in front of everyone and letting the world know he was a wizard. Remus turned away from the man and poked another light orb, watching the light dissolve as he went back to his worried thoughts.
no subject
“Not a good time for the full moon to come out, huh?” Wolf said, knowing the other would probably get the hint that he was a wolf too. At least, that’s what he hoped.
no subject
Remus slowly turned so his back was facing the man. "What are you talking about?" Even if the symptoms were obvious to those that knew to look for them, Remus would still deny them. He couldn't afford to have his secret known to anyone. Not here, where there was no way out, no where to hide. For Remus, the statement did suggest that perhaps this person was a wizard. Thus, he allowed himself to pull his wand back out to poke more of the strange glowing orbs.
no subject
Sighing, that’s just great. Hopefully this won’t shock him too much then, “Does that mean, you couldn’t catch my scent?” Wolf tilted his head, curiously.
no subject
Despite his achy-ness, Remus managed to jump up and spin around to face the man in front of him, the hand holding his wand hanging by his side. Whoever this guy was, he was certainly speaking as if he knew what he was talking about. "Not so loud! Are you mad?" Remus rubbed his temples. Here came the headaches. He just wanted to find a soft spot to sleep now.
"If you really are a werewolf, then you'd know that a werewolf's sense of smell isn't any different from anyone else." His stomach felt as if it was doing back-flips, and his head was throbbing. This was not something he wanted to deal with now.
no subject
Straightening upward, Wolf made a slight snarl, “I’m not a werewolf, either, I’m a half wolf.” What was a werewolf anyway, was that something kinda like an wolf? This boy better not is making up anything. “I talked to you because I thought you might have the same issue as I would, but I guess not,” he responded with growl, turning to walk away from him.
no subject
Remus sighed. He didn't know what this guy meant by being a 'half wolf,' but with all the things he was told, it was possible that this guy's condition was similar to his own, if not the same. "Wait." He didn't call out loudly. Remus didn't have the energy for that. "Sorry. I'm just not feeling well." He put his wand away. He might have been grumpy, but then again, Remus was too. Besides, he showed no signs of attacking him, so there was no point for his wand to be out, although, he did like to poke the orbs of light that kept falling.
Remus walked over to a nearby tree and sat down. His head was throbbing more and more, and he felt like he was going to hurl. He hated this, and he hated Greyback for doing this to him. Still, it didn't mean he could take his frustration out on others. Especially those who were willing to just talk to him. Remus tilted his head back against the tree and closed his eyes, trying to keep his mind on calming down and working out on how he was going to isolate himself for the full moon. He didn't check whether the man had left or not. Remus didn't want him to, but he wouldn't be surprised if he left either.

Honestly, Remus couldn't tell that the moon was effecting the 'half wolf.' Then again, his eyes were still closed, so he had yet to see him up close. Still, he didn't sound sick. Perhaps a bit irritates, but not sick.
"You wouldn't happen to know of a safe place for someone like myself to transform without hurting anyone, would you?"
no subject
Before getting up, Wolf scratched the side of his ear. He glanced over toward the distant abandoned church, St. Destino. He pointed to it, and spoke softly, “I’m planning to go over there when the full moon comes. I wanna make sure I don’t hurt anyone, and no one to go over to that place. I can see why though. Since it does leads to that …Halloween Town.”
no subject
"Halloween Town?" Remus wasn't sure how a church could lead to another town, except if perhaps there was a port key or other devise inside to do so. There was still something fishy about it though. "It sounds like a place a kid would come up with. Are you sure that's what it's called?"
no subject
Wolf huffed, as he explained about that place, “In order to get there, you have to get past a some levels, like a couple of a hallways and this island. I’m not sure how they could set up the travel system, but I wanted to check it out for myself to see if there was a way out of here,” He paused, starting to remember some of terrible events that occurred there. One was Zuko who disappeared, it was rather unexpected and he hopes the guy is ok.
The scruffy man frowned and looked at the ground, “Halloween Town… Is no place for kids, first off, I changed into a wolf even without the full moon being up and out. And then these creatures from the darkness attacked me. I was able to defeat them but… There was this one creature… That turned into someone I knew.” He shut his eyes tightly and turned away from Remus. Wolf really did not want to recall the event, in his low growl there was a slight whimper in his tone, “I… Had to destroy it, because it was attacking me but…” He then his voice became louder with a full fledge pained howl, “Did it have to take HER as a form?!”
no subject
The wizard was mostly concerned with the fact that the half-wolf talking to him had transformed, even without a full moon. Would the same happen to him if he traveled there? The creatures were also a concern, though as Remus was a sixth year, and this guy didn't seem to know how to use magic and still defeated them, Remus wasn't too worried about them. Though, the creature transforming had him perk up with interest.
"Wait. A creature transformed?" The only transforming creature he knew of was a boggart. Could there really be one hiding somewhere around here? "You didn't happen to catch what this thing looked like before it transformed, did you?" If he did, then it couldn't be a boggart. No one has seen it's original shape. If he didn't, then it looked like Remus had some pest control to take care of before he ran off to this Halloween Town.
no subject
This was a bit too much for Wolf, he held onto his head and kneeled down onto the field whimpering a bit. The look on Virginia’s face was all he can remember. That girl won’t leave his mind, no matter where he’ll go or do. What was worse is that he had to attack the creature as her. Wolf looked down, “It came from the darkness too fast and I… When I defeated it, the darkness came to collect it just like before.”
Growling, Wolf punched his fist into the ground with sharp teeth clinched, “I don’t want to see that thing again, ever.”
no subject
"Sounds like you ran into a boggart. They're creatures that transform into a person's worst fear, and they're usually not harmful, well, at least to your physical well-being." Remus' head was back against the tree, trying to keep the dizziness he felt to a minimum. "I'll try to get rid of it soon. Well, after this full moon anyway."
Remus had made up his mind about finding a place to transform. He's find a place to lock himself inside the old church the man had mentioned. He would just have to make sure that he put a magical lock on the door so people couldn't come in and get huurt, and so he couldn't get out.
no subject
There was a slight pause. Wolf eyed the wand the boy carried. That must be the thing that could defeat them. The boy would silence them with some kind of spell. Wolf breathed in the air, trying to calm himself once again. He then looked back up at the boy, “You must know a lot of magic then.”
Relaxing a bit, Wolf sat near the boy again, giving a small smile. “I don’t think we properly introduced ourselves, I’m Wolf,” he then spoke softly, “If you don’t mind company on the full moon, I wouldn’t mind joining a fellow wolf. It’s been quite while since I’ve met another one too.”
no subject
The wizard shifted so his back wasn't completely against the tree. His head still hurt, but the conversation was helping him ignore some of the ill feelings he was experiencing for the moment. "I suppose I know a fair bit. I did pass all of my O.W.L.s." It was odd to talk to this guy. He obviously knew about magic, but not enough as the other student in Hogwarts. He felt like he was talking to a muggle. Maybe he was. Still, the ministry had yet to come and take him away, so he figured it wasn't such a bad thing.
Remus raised an eyebrow at the man's name. Wolf? Really? That wasn't very inconspicuous. Perhaps it was a normal name where this guy came from? Either way, Remus shook it off and accepted it. "I'm Remus." He held out his hand for Wolf to take. "It might be better if I didn't have company on the full moon, but I wouldn't mind it any other time. I've never met another person like you either." Remus smiled. "Maybe we can help each other out."
no subject
Nodding, the scruffy man knew what Remus meant. Still, another wolf is always good to have as a friend. Wolf leaned back against the tree with Remus, “Oh well, I wouldn’t mind helpin’ another wolf out, believe me, if ya need anything. You can count on me.”
Wolf scuffed the side of neck and chuckled, he’s glad he found someone he can finally relate to around here. He was beginning to worry for a little bit.
no subject
Remus smiled at Wolf's chuckle. The only other werewolf he knew was a bloodthirsty killer, and that even before he transformed into a wolf. Meeting this half-wolf gave Remus some hope for himself. Not all werewolves were bad, and this guy proved it.
no subject
Wolf grinned at Remus thoughtfully, “I’ve got an extra bed room if ya need a place to stay. And if you want, you can even join our band!” His tail began wagging. Of course it was because he was excited and happy to meet a new friend that was a fellow wolf.
no subject
"Really? I don't know if I can join a band, but-" And then, Remus noticed the tail. He couldn't mask the surprise. His eyes went to the size of dinner plates and his jaw dropped. Thankfully, he was able to regain his composure. He pointed to the tail. "I-is that supposed to happen?"
no subject
Turning over to let Remus have a look, he was actually surprised that the boy didn’t have one himself. Though it must come with being a werewolf rather than a half wolf. “See? It isn’t gonna bite you, y’know,” Wolf chuckled.
no subject
It took a while, but Remus was eventually able to snap out of it. "S-sorry. Where I come from, a person having a tail is usually a result of a spell gone wrong." He remembered a transfiguration test where they had to turn a common household item into an animal. Someone from his class, surprisingly not James or Sirius, had 'missed' and turned the person in front of them into a fox. The student still had a fox tail when the professor changed him back, and it was there for a good week.
"Uhm, anyway, thanks. I'd be nice to have a place to stay." Remus didn't think he would have minded living alone while he was here, but it was nice to have met someone similar to himself who didn't want to kill people. He seemed a bit weird, but Remus still thought that he'd still get along with him.
no subject
With a nod, Wolf gave a pleasant smile, he felt much more comfortable now. Knowing that he had company that finally can understand where he’s coming from on this wolf business, even if they’re from another world. Wolf spoke happily, “Not a problem! I hope you don’t mind it, though the good thing about living with me, I’m a great cook.”
Bragging about fixing up delicious meat is one of Wolf’s favorite pass times. He can talk about food all day if one ever gets started on the subject.
no subject
"Do you mind if we head back now. I'm sorry, but I get fairly ill around this time of the month." He wanted a bed. And he wanted it now.
no subject
Knowing that they’ll be able to get along for now, Wolf reached out his hand toward Remus to help him up. Hopefully, he’ll just need some good rest for now and plenty of meat and water. That’s usually what helps Wolf out for the most part. It might be a different story for Remus, but he’s sure whatever it might be, there could be a way around it. Wolf smiled, “Don’t be afraid to ask for a stop to rest either, can’t have you passing out before we hit the hay after all.”
no subject
"I think I can survive until then." He gave Wolf a weak smile. "Thanks. I hope I can repay you for all this." He had no idea what to expect of what to expect at Wolf's place, but even if it was barely a hole in the wall, he'd take it.
no subject
“So where did you live back on your world?” Wolf asked, now just a little bit curious about Remus.
no subject
"I go to Hogwarts. It's a school for witches and wizards in England." There were so many spells on that place that if Wolf suddenly turned evil and wanted to ransack the place, he wouldn't be able to, so Remus had to problems telling him this. "I'm graduating next year, actually. Well, if I find a way to get back. What's your place like?"
no subject
It wasn’t that Wolf didn’t like magic. In fact he really liked it sometimes. Though it can become really addicting rather quickly. Virginia almost became addicted to wear those magical shoes after all. Though recalling his world, he knows that those who succumb to magic either use it for something really wonderful or frightfully horrible.
Wolf glanced at Remus as he spoke about his own world, “There’s magic all around my world too, and I can’t say that I know many who use it in good intentions though. I would say there’s a lot more enchantment behind some things, nothing is ever boring, let me tell you.” He chuckled softly, though it was apparent that his world wasn’t something he’d like to come back to at the moment. Wolf knew one thing that summed up his world in a whole, “I know one thing if for sure though, one could either live happily ever after, or get killed by a horrible curse.”
no subject
"There's some dark stuff brewing back where I come from as well. There's a dark wizard of sorts gathering a bunch of people together. I try not to think about it while I'm at school, but sometimes you just can't ignore the papers." Remus couldn't hide the shudder that ran down his spine. He and his friends had all read the headlines about wizards disappearing or being found dead. Whoever this Voldemort guy was, he wasn't good. Remus could only hope that he wouldn't end up here.
By now, Remus and Wolf were back inside the city. A wave of nausea and dizziness caught Remus off guard, and he swayed a bit, catching himself on a lightpost. He closed his eyes, trying to force the bad feelings away, at least, until he got to Wolf's place where he could lay down and go to sleep.
no subject
Listening to Remus about the dark wizard that was also planning to plague his world. He started to remember a certain evil witch who tried to control him back in his world. Wolf tried his best to block out the memories the best as he can, he gritted his teeth at the mere thought of her. He just rather not see or hear that woman at all. Wolf just hopes she doesn’t come here into Paixao.
As soon as Remus started to look queasy and leaned against the lightpost, Wolf automatically stopped and calmly went over to him. “Are you alright?” Wolf asked with concern, he sure hopes that the kid will be able to make it in time to his apartment.
no subject
"You're flat isn't much further, is it?" He hoped it wasn't. Remus didn't focus on his pride too much, but he would like to make it to this place without needing too much help. He felt so bad that he didn't really comprehend what Wolf had said about seven dwarfs. Where Remus came from, that was just a fairy tale.

no subject
"Thanks." At least with wolf's support, the world stopped spinning a little, though he still felt as if his head was floating twenty feet over where it should be. The noise made by the citizens of the town doing their daily activities didn't help Remus' headache, but until he got to wolf's flat, there was nothing he could do about it. He slowly trudged on, leaning on the half-wolf for support and wishing he had the both the ability and strength to just apparate himself to the apartment.
no subject
Soon enough they were able to reach the Iriela Apartments. When they went up to the level of Wolf’s apartment, he opened the door for both of them. Then let Remus walk near the couch with him. Wolf nodded, “Make yourself at home,” he said as he closed the door. Turning around Wolf gestured to the kitchen, “Do you need something to drink?”
no subject
He felt a like he was being rude, but he would apologize later. Remus turned his head to face Wolf and nodded. "Just some water would be fine." He let out a long sigh as he curled up on the couch, not even bothering to kick off his shoes. Wolf really didn't know how much this meant to Remus, even though they had just met, and the wizard would make sure to remember to make it up to him for all his help.

He put the half-consumed glass back on the table the curled back up on the couch, his head resting on the arm-rest. The world still felt like it was spinning, but not nearly as badly as it was when he was still walking, and even though his head still hurt, he found the pain a bit more tolerable now that he could just lay down and do nothing.
no subject
“So what were we talking about earlier... Oh yea, so you’re going graduate next year, huh? What do you plan to do after that?” Wolf asked out of curiosity. His arms resting back on his knees in interest.
no subject
"I was thinking about becoming an auror. The Ministry needs more since there's so much dark stuff coming up." Remus yawned. "Aurors go after dark wizards. They're like the police in the magical world."

And then he was asleep, leaving worries like how he was going to get back to Hogwarts and the full moon for a time where he could deal with them.
