Werewolves [Completed, Closed]

Character(s): Remus Lupin, Wolf
Content: Wolf and Remus meet. Poor Paixao.
Setting: Elysian Fields
Time: Shortly after Remus' intro thread.
Warnings: None I can think of.

Remus had spent some time wandering around the city after speaking with Braska and that dark guy. The information they provided him was helpful, though depressing. As the day wore on, Remus began to get a little weaker, a little more sickly. Apparently, there was a full moon on it's way in this place, which gave the student a lot to think about. He managed to find another gate, and he walked outside the city, but not before being stopped by one of the gatekeepers. He glared and ignored him and went on his way. This wasn't Hogwarts, so he was sure there wouldn't be any penalties for leaving town for a bit. It's not like he would wander too far from the city since he didn't know what was out there. Well, at least not yet.

Remus found a spot in the grass to sit and watch the strange balls of light fall from the sky. He took out his wand and tried to touch one with it, but the orb simply broke apart, the light dissolving away into darkness. Normally, he would be awed by such things, but the fact that he would be transforming within a day or two without anywhere to go to isolate himself from the rest of the population made him worry. Not only would his secret get out, but he could also kill someone, or worse, turn someone into a werewolf like himself. So far, he had found no place in the city where he could shut himself in. He layed back in the soft grass, watching the orbs of light continue to fall as if they were snow flakes, and tried to clear his head.

Wolf knew the full moon will rise very soon, he was not looking forward to it what so ever. He could feel it in every bone in his body. The changes were already taking place in his emotions. Wolf had been trying to control himself, luckily he hasn’t run into any girls that might tempt him over the edge of flirting to full out hunger. What would not taste more delicious than the sweet delicious blood-filled meat of young ladies, oh the sweet, sweet taste of what he loved the most.

This wasn’t what Wolf should be thinking of at all though. He bit his bottom lip and whimpered as he walked toward the Niflheim gate. Wolf needed just time to himself for a while, away from everyone else. He didn’t want to bother anyone with his monthly urges right now. Wolf waited till the guard became distracted for a bit, and snuck past him swiftly into the Elysian Fields. As he walked into the grassy plains, he started to growl and grumble to himself, “Why does this have to come now of all times. Grrrrf, I did not need to see that… that… terrible, nasty illusion of my Virginia! I can’t get it out of my head, I can’t-”

Freezing, a scent reached Wolf’s nose another wolf was nearby. He could tell, slowly he turned around, his eyebrow arched. Wolf spotted the boy who was nearby. He stared at him for a bit. Suddenly feeling a little bit calmer, there was someone he could relate to, possibly. Wolf sighed and then spoke out to him, “Hey there. You feeling alright?”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf nodded with huff, “I know how that feels, believe me.” He glanced upward and all around. Sniffing the air for anyone else that might be presence. It seemed they were alone enough for them to have a private conversation, wolf to wolf. Staring at the far off gate, it was apparent the guards weren’t even remotely paying attention anyway. Wolf kneeled down looking at the boy quite seriously in concern. The full moon for wolves did involve both of them, or so it seems.

“Not a good time for the full moon to come out, huh?” Wolf said, knowing the other would probably get the hint that he was a wolf too. At least, that’s what he hoped.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf blinked, lifting his eyebrow slightly. Oh come on, don’t play around, he totally can smell wolf on you. Though, Wolf did notice this boy was dealing with magic, it can be nice, but best not too mess with it too much. He scratched his neck, “You’re a wolf, like me, aren't you?”

Sighing, that’s just great. Hopefully this won’t shock him too much then, “Does that mean, you couldn’t catch my scent?” Wolf tilted his head, curiously.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf didn’t flinch. He stared at the boy in complete seriousness. Magic only could scare him if a terrible sorcerer did it. He’s only a boy though. Surely he doesn’t know any horrific spells right now. Wolf growled ever so slightly, “Don’t raise your tone, and there is no one around to even hear or see us, so don’t act like we’re going to chopped into pieces so soon.”

Straightening upward, Wolf made a slight snarl, “I’m not a werewolf, either, I’m a half wolf.” What was a werewolf anyway, was that something kinda like an wolf? This boy better not is making up anything. “I talked to you because I thought you might have the same issue as I would, but I guess not,” he responded with growl, turning to walk away from him.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-08-19 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf turned around, giving a sigh to calm himself down too. He walked toward the boy and sat down near him in the plains. Looking up at the moon, which was all but just taunting him with what was yet to come. Wolf glanced over and noticed that the boy was rather ill looking. Concerned, he spoke softly, “So are werewolves a different type of wolf? Do you guys react differently too the full moon?... I ah, I’ve never met one before.”

Wolf nods, he can understand how bad it could get before the transformation. Though luckily he didn’t get so bad that he actually would get sick, though he will sometimes run a fever and get really bad cramps. Wolf folded his arms to the sides, knowing that they come at any minute, being really painful as usual. He closed his eyes, “Yea, we don’t get sick, but it sure hurts. Like a bunch of bones and muscles shifting all over your body, no good, no sir, grrrf.”

Before getting up, Wolf scratched the side of his ear. He glanced over toward the distant abandoned church, St. Destino. He pointed to it, and spoke softly, “I’m planning to go over there when the full moon comes. I wanna make sure I don’t hurt anyone, and no one to go over to that place. I can see why though. Since it does leads to that …Halloween Town.”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-08-25 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
“That’s what everyone seems to be calling that place,” Wolf spoke as he turned toward the kid. He crossed his arms and lifted his eyebrow. He knew that the place was creepy anyway, even if the name was a play on “All Hallow’s Eve”. More of an event for witches and demons really, not something that was considered really the childish on his view point.

Wolf huffed, as he explained about that place, “In order to get there, you have to get past a some levels, like a couple of a hallways and this island. I’m not sure how they could set up the travel system, but I wanted to check it out for myself to see if there was a way out of here,” He paused, starting to remember some of terrible events that occurred there. One was Zuko who disappeared, it was rather unexpected and he hopes the guy is ok.

The scruffy man frowned and looked at the ground, “Halloween Town… Is no place for kids, first off, I changed into a wolf even without the full moon being up and out. And then these creatures from the darkness attacked me. I was able to defeat them but… There was this one creature… That turned into someone I knew.” He shut his eyes tightly and turned away from Remus. Wolf really did not want to recall the event, in his low growl there was a slight whimper in his tone, “I… Had to destroy it, because it was attacking me but…” He then his voice became louder with a full fledge pained howl, “Did it have to take HER as a form?!”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-08-26 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf looked to the side, glancing at the boy. The glint in eyes hinting the pain he felt trying to remember, “I… I don’t know, it just came out of nowhere. I couldn’t catch what it actually looked like before it transformed. It was dark and I…”

This was a bit too much for Wolf, he held onto his head and kneeled down onto the field whimpering a bit. The look on Virginia’s face was all he can remember. That girl won’t leave his mind, no matter where he’ll go or do. What was worse is that he had to attack the creature as her. Wolf looked down, “It came from the darkness too fast and I… When I defeated it, the darkness came to collect it just like before.”

Growling, Wolf punched his fist into the ground with sharp teeth clinched, “I don’t want to see that thing again, ever.”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-08-31 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf froze, this boy… He knew what that thing was? The scruffy man eyes lit up as he turned to finally face the boy in the eyes. His eyes were still glistening from the tears that past his eyes momentarily. Wolf blinked for a minute in surprise and then whipped away the tears with his sleeves in slight embarrassment. Though he knows he can’t control any of his emotions during this time anyway. His voice, shaky, spoke to the boy in hope, “You know what those things are…? And… you know how to get rid of them?”

There was a slight pause. Wolf eyed the wand the boy carried. That must be the thing that could defeat them. The boy would silence them with some kind of spell. Wolf breathed in the air, trying to calm himself once again. He then looked back up at the boy, “You must know a lot of magic then.”

Relaxing a bit, Wolf sat near the boy again, giving a small smile. “I don’t think we properly introduced ourselves, I’m Wolf,” he then spoke softly, “If you don’t mind company on the full moon, I wouldn’t mind joining a fellow wolf. It’s been quite while since I’ve met another one too.”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf didn’t really think of the boggart as dangerous really, just mind breaking and incredibly evil. He smiled at Remus, as he gave him a nice handshake. A regular ol’ wizard in training, eh? Well if all works out well, this boy could become a great worker of magic. Hopefully he won’t succumb to any of the dark power business either.

Nodding, the scruffy man knew what Remus meant. Still, another wolf is always good to have as a friend. Wolf leaned back against the tree with Remus, “Oh well, I wouldn’t mind helpin’ another wolf out, believe me, if ya need anything. You can count on me.”

Wolf scuffed the side of neck and chuckled, he’s glad he found someone he can finally relate to around here. He was beginning to worry for a little bit.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-03 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
“Oh! Well I’m staying over at the Iriela Apartments, it’s pretty comfortable over there,” Wolf spoke, now feeling a bit more relaxed. He smiled, “I had Genie come over one time, and we started planning out a ‘rock band’ idea. Boy was that a lot of fun!” His mind decided to change to the subject of entertainment. Wolf just wanted to forget the whole disaster that is the full moon, for a minute or two at least. Plus the boy looks like he might need some cheering up.

Wolf grinned at Remus thoughtfully, “I’ve got an extra bed room if ya need a place to stay. And if you want, you can even join our band!” His tail began wagging. Of course it was because he was excited and happy to meet a new friend that was a fellow wolf.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-05 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf looked down over at his tail. It was waving back and forth softly. It was actually quite big for this time of month, because of the full moon. Though this wasn’t such a big deal to him, blinking, he spoke quite casually, “It’s only my tail.”

Turning over to let Remus have a look, he was actually surprised that the boy didn’t have one himself. Though it must come with being a werewolf rather than a half wolf. “See? It isn’t gonna bite you, y’know,” Wolf chuckled.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-05 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf eyes widen, other worlds were quite different indeed. He was always used to other wolves having tails or something to show their heritage. Though Remus was quite a different type of wolf, so maybe it shouldn’t be so surprising to Wolf that his world was much more distinctive as well.

With a nod, Wolf gave a pleasant smile, he felt much more comfortable now. Knowing that he had company that finally can understand where he’s coming from on this wolf business, even if they’re from another world. Wolf spoke happily, “Not a problem! I hope you don’t mind it, though the good thing about living with me, I’m a great cook.”

Bragging about fixing up delicious meat is one of Wolf’s favorite pass times. He can talk about food all day if one ever gets started on the subject.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-07 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Wolf chuckled, glad that they were both in a better mood right now. He nodded and stood up, “Sure, I hope you don’t mind that it’s a bit of a walk. Just stick by me, and we’ll make it there soon enough.”

Knowing that they’ll be able to get along for now, Wolf reached out his hand toward Remus to help him up. Hopefully, he’ll just need some good rest for now and plenty of meat and water. That’s usually what helps Wolf out for the most part. It might be a different story for Remus, but he’s sure whatever it might be, there could be a way around it. Wolf smiled, “Don’t be afraid to ask for a stop to rest either, can’t have you passing out before we hit the hay after all.”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-10 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf smiled, “Don't worry about it.” He led the way for both him and Remus toward his apartment. He was really glad that they winded up being friends. It wouldn’t go well if they were bitter enemies, that’s for sure. Wolf just hopes nothing bad will happen since there is a good chance they both might become predatorial during the full moon. Still, he shouldn’t worry about it. They probably will get over it after the major wolf phase anyway.

“So where did you live back on your world?” Wolf asked, now just a little bit curious about Remus.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-15 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
“Oh? So you go to a school for that, huh?” Wolf thought for a moment about some of the wizard and witches he knew. “Where I come from, witches and wizards usually learn that stuff by themselves. Though I’m sure they start out as apprentices at first.”

It wasn’t that Wolf didn’t like magic. In fact he really liked it sometimes. Though it can become really addicting rather quickly. Virginia almost became addicted to wear those magical shoes after all. Though recalling his world, he knows that those who succumb to magic either use it for something really wonderful or frightfully horrible.

Wolf glanced at Remus as he spoke about his own world, “There’s magic all around my world too, and I can’t say that I know many who use it in good intentions though. I would say there’s a lot more enchantment behind some things, nothing is ever boring, let me tell you.” He chuckled softly, though it was apparent that his world wasn’t something he’d like to come back to at the moment. Wolf knew one thing that summed up his world in a whole, “I know one thing if for sure though, one could either live happily ever after, or get killed by a horrible curse.”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf nodded, “It’s part of our history, so magic is practically part of our culture. We’re use to most things that are either enchanted or cursed. Lord help anyone who is dumb enough to have some of the poisonous apples that grow around the Seven Dwarves’ House.” He can recall Anthony foolishly almost taking a bite out of one of those. Can’t say that he was that surprised though. Virginia’s father wasn’t the brightest pick of the patch.

Listening to Remus about the dark wizard that was also planning to plague his world. He started to remember a certain evil witch who tried to control him back in his world. Wolf tried his best to block out the memories the best as he can, he gritted his teeth at the mere thought of her. He just rather not see or hear that woman at all. Wolf just hopes she doesn’t come here into Paixao.

As soon as Remus started to look queasy and leaned against the lightpost, Wolf automatically stopped and calmly went over to him. “Are you alright?” Wolf asked with concern, he sure hopes that the kid will be able to make it in time to his apartment.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-22 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
“We’re about half way there, if you need, you can lean on me until we get there. It’ll at least help you be balanced,” Wolf expressed his concern with Remus, he knows how bad cramps can get, but it looks like he’s got it a lot worse than Wolf ever did. Though it’s understandable since they are different types of wolves. Wolf glanced over Remus, offering his arm at pillar of support. Most likely he’ll be able to stabilize his walking at the very least.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-23 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf nodded with a soft smile as Remus accepted his arm. He walked along side the boy and was able to hold the other’s support quite well. Wolf looked onward, walking through the city of Paixao, about to pass the Café Ersesat.

Soon enough they were able to reach the Iriela Apartments. When they went up to the level of Wolf’s apartment, he opened the door for both of them. Then let Remus walk near the couch with him. Wolf nodded, “Make yourself at home,” he said as he closed the door. Turning around Wolf gestured to the kitchen, “Do you need something to drink?”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-24 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf walked over to Remus with a glass of water. He set the glass on the coffee table near Remus. He then walked over to one of the chairs near by the couch and sat in it letting his arms rest on his knees. Wolf smiled at Remus and gave a little chuckle. The boy must be glad to finally get some rest. Wolf leaned back in his own chair, “Feeling better? I bet you were looking forward to that couch.”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-25 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf laughed in response, “I understand.” He really did, usually he like cuddling up with a fluffy rabbit sometimes as well during this time. Unfortunately there aren’t many animals around here, and all of them happen to talk. Plus, Wolf has yet to meet an actual bunny yet in this world.

“So what were we talking about earlier... Oh yea, so you’re going graduate next year, huh? What do you plan to do after that?” Wolf asked out of curiosity. His arms resting back on his knees in interest.

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-09-26 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf nodded listening to Remus, “Interesting, I never heard of an Auror before, it’s good that you guys are warding off those who work in the dark magic.” He glanced over Remus and gave a small smile. He could tell the kid was just about to fall asleep. Wolf got up to go fetch a blanket from the closet and placed it over Remus. He chuckled, “Go ahead get some rest, it looks like you really need it.”
