Other worlds you say? (Active/Open)
Characters: Ziva David, Open to Anyone
Content: Ziva's traveling through the city, heading towards the Church...and the door to the next world.
Setting: Somewhere in the city.
Time: Week 23, Afternoon.
Warnings: Ziva in herself is a warning. Edit1: Ziva and Trudy though? This may be chaos in badass women form. Edit2: Aaaand Grace's mouth. She's her own swear word dictionary.
Apparently, it held the connection between this city, and another world. She really didn't know what was on the other side, but she was moderately armed, and could hold her own with most things she would probably come across.
So, she was heading to these so called other worlds to see what she could find out about this original city. Everyone seemed to end up here, in the domes, and spread out from there. Except for the strange blond citizens, who just stayed within the gates, and gave anyone who didn't look like they belonged there strange looks. But she was used to this by now.
Maybe these other places would have less of these identical citizens and more interesting things to look at. She stopped at a small shop to take a look at what they had, since she wasn't in a hurry to get there just yet. She wanted to see what was still going on in this town, considering there had been some strange events going on since she'd arrived.

hope you don't mind another bada** joining the venture. :3
Trudy daydreamed to herself at times when she knew she had no other duties or responsibilities. She had taken more to her mind lately since she had no job or active goal. She hung around, talked with her close friend Grace Augustine (who had found herself in Paixao earlier than Trudy had), met a sinister yet sweet girl in the city, talked around with a fellow pilot stuck in the nowhere land, and managed to kick herself out of bed to try and get primed for some kind of exploration.
She was easily distracted by the kindly shopkeepers. Though she was certainly more militaristic and hard-edged than any of the women she ever met in her life, she still had a thing for seeing what was around. At the very least, she hoped to find some kind of chance to show off her previous skills.
After an unsuccessful stint in searching shop after shop, she had arrived behind a beautiful woman who also appeared to be a visitor to the strange world. Trudy quickened pace and marched to the counter.
She immediately asked for something to do. "I haven't done crap around here. Please, just make me do something."
She turned back to the woman she had passed and said, "Sorry I skipped you. Civilian life is getting to me."
*quickly edits warnings, for the lullz*
She set the trinket back on the shelf before addressing the other woman. "No need for apologies, I do understand the feeling. I went through somewhat of the same thing when I came here." She moved to lean against the door frame for a moment, thinking.
This other person seemed like she knew what she was doing, and if she was looking for something to do, Ziva had just the thing to offer.
"You are looking for something to do? I am heading out towards those strange doors people have been discussing." She crossed her arms. "Want to come along?"
As Auron had hinted, there was always strength in numbers.
/crashes this thread party. Grace's mouth will need its own warning
"Doors to other worlds, doors to this one. Maybe one of them will actually have plants I can look at," she complained, loud enough for anyone in the store to hear. "This plastic crap is bullshit."
SWEEEEET :D
Even before the handshake could be completed, she looked up to see an old friend come into the store in typical fashion (i.e. she practically owned the place). "Hey there! Making sure I play well with the others?" she said excitedly, "See? I'm already making friends."
"As for the strange doors, Mom never said anything about that. I say go for it."
no subject
"Agent Ziva David." She said, in introduction along with a handshake. At least she had found two people who didn't seem to have any qualms about exploring the other worlds. And they seemed strong enough, even if the new redhead seemed more like a scientist than a fighter...
...she reminded Ziva of Abby, in a way.
sorry, forgot to track DX
"Dr. Grace Augustine," she answered, though she didn't offer a handshake right away. If Ziva wanted one, she'd spare one, but Grace's methods of work didn't always run the same way as politeness, especially when she was dealing with strangers in this strange world.
"I never doubted your ability to make friends," Grace shot back at Trudy. Really, it was her own that was the trouble-maker. Grace tended to make enemies or work allies, not friends. Jake and the people rooted deepest in the Avatar Program were the exceptions. Plus the Na'vi she'd taught for so long.
Her gaze returned to Ziva for a moment, but her words were directed at Trudy. "I guess the question is, do I bring out the tank or go as I am?" Bringing out the tank would require an extra stop back at the apartment and Grace was kind of not in the mood to deal with that. "I'd say I'm more inclined to go as is. I doubt the plants are any worse on people here."
With her mind apparently made up, Grace turned to look around again. Clearly, that subject of conversation was done in her mind.
/headpats, just glad to be working with you again <3
"Three able bodied women like us ought to do," she said with a slight shake of the head. A grin grew and she turned back again to the new friend. "Wouldn't you agree, Agent David?" she mused sardonically.
Here, have clueless!Ziva.
"I am inclined to agree." She replied, shrugging slightly. Whatever they decided would work, as they knew exactly what kind of armament they were discussing.
♥
"Three able-bodied women it is," she agreed. "So, did you guys plan the whole trip already or do I get a say in it?"
no subject
"I think we had just started talking about it. Not much to plan besides who's coming, is there?" she asked.
no subject
It was strange, Grace sort of reminded Ziva of Abby, in a way. It was something about the attitude. And Trudy, well, she seemed to be a good partner in 'crime' as it were, at least to explore this place.
no subject
"No one else I care to drag along," she admitted after a few moments. "So, what are we waiting for? Let's get moving towards that 'other world.'"
Of course, Grace was far less able to protect herself than either of the others, but she was at least good for company.
no subject
"So, Ziva, what'd you do before you came here?" she asked with a raised brow. "No worries about government clearance here. I can at least tell you that I was a pilot and Grace is a genius scientist."
no subject
"I worked as an NCIS field agent." She said, musing over if she would even have her job if she returned after such a long time. "Worked out of the office near Washington." If they wanted to know more, they could ask. She really didn't give out much information without being asked.
no subject
Ziva's response caused Grace to glance back at Trudy with her eyebrows raised. She'd gone twenty years without hearing anyone say they'd worked in Washington, or, hell, anywhere on Earth. She took a deep drag of the cigarette and blew it out.
"I can't remember the last time I heard someone say they worked in Washington."
no subject
"A field agent, huh? You look a little too pretty for being the James Bond type. But then again, I shouldn't judge," she said with a smirk.
Walking with Grace and this Ziva character put her at ease over the drama that had escalated around Paixao. Trudy appreciated the value of good company.
no subject
"It is not as glamorous as one would think. Those movies make it look more fun than it really is." She remembered Tony having the same thoughts about her spy days.
no subject
"Well, shall we head out?" Trudy said as the church approached them from the horizon.
sob I missed this somehow
Trudy distracted her momentarily and the scientist nodded. "Lead on, pilot."
no subject
Ziva simply nodded at Trudy's suggestion, making an 'after you' motion with her hands, and then double checking that her sidearm was in place. She didn't want to show up somewhere without the proper weapons, if they were needed, of course.
