He's Got It All Worked Out [Active]
Character(s): Pumbaa and Flonne (and maybe Quina can jump in?)
Content: Flonne meets up with Pumbaa to help him find his way around the city
Setting: Starting at Niflheim, working toward...somewhere?
Time: Right after this thread
Warnings: Um...yeah...we've got Pumbaa and Flonne in the same place at the same time. I'm so sorry, Paixao.
Pumbaa was more than content to sit and wait for Flonne to come along and meet him. It was so nice of her to offer to help him like that, even when she didn't know him at all! And she was doing it for Timon too, so she had to be a good person!
That Loki guy was really nice too. He'd showed Pumbaa how to use the journal without even asking for anything back. And he didn't mind (much?) how Pumbaa smelled, either. The warthog had only been here for a little while, and he was already making new friends! He hoped this Flonne person was really fun, that would make it even better! But his rumbling stomach was reminding him that he hadn't had anything to eat yet today...he'd have to ask Flonne if she knew where there were any good bugs to eat.

But she had to help Pumbaa! He seemed so kind on the network, if a little odd. And she'd never met a talking pig before. Well, there was Hoggmeiser and his son, but they were demons, not actual pigs. Would Pumbaa be like them at all? He didn't seem the greedy sort...
Before long, she arrived at Niflheim, breathing a little hard from her hurried pace. There he was, waiting patiently for her! She stepped closer...and was immediately assaulted by a very distinct odor. Her steps faltered a bit and a wave of dizziness got her wobbling for a moment, but she recovered in record time. "P-Pumbaa-san?" she called, smiling. "I'm Flonne! Sorry you had to wait!" She stopped in front of him and bowed slightly in greeting, her devil tail swaying with the motion.

He smiled up at her. "Oh, I wasn't waiting for very long! Was the walk here nice?" To Pumbaa, more time waiting just meant more time to figure out what all these strange rock-things were. Of course, that didn't mean he'd made any progress.

"Do you have any questions about the city?"
no subject
"Everything looks like it's made of rocks, but I've never seen rocks that look like any of these before..."
Hope you don't mind me jumping in here, guys!
And so it was making its way up the street, asking various locals where it saw an animal. Sadly, the people of Paixao did not appear to know what it was talking about and so it would sigh and try to ask the next person.
It had yet to notice Flonne and Pumbaa.

"And that's...!" She froze, the pleasant smile stuck on her face. She had no idea what that was!

He waited patiently for Flonne to finish her sentence, then his expression fell. "You don't know what that is, do you?"

Recovering slightly, she turned to face Pumbaa and started walking. "But, you know, that's just how it is here, I've found. Sometimes you think you'll know everything there is about this place, but then something will come along that will surprise you! It's a new adventure every day!"

Pumbaa watched the weird creature too, until it was gone. "I wonder if they were friendly," he said, ever the optimist. "It's too bad we won't get to meet. What other kinds of surprising things are there?"
The warthog's enthusiasm knew few bounds, at least when it came to things that were so new. It had been a long time since he'd been so excited, and Timon was here, too! This place was going to be great!

"And there are some dangerous creatures here called Heartless. You need to watch out for those." She glanced down at the warthog. "Can you fight, Pumbaa-san? Do you have any special powers?"
no subject
"Well...it's special all right...and...it's pretty powerful..." The warthog looked far more embarrassed than anything else, and he was feeling suddenly very self-conscious surrounded by all these people. He shuffled back and forth on his front legs a little, frowning a bit.
"I don't know how good it would be for fighting, though..." It would probably be a good idea to mention that before Flonne got any ideas like Timon had gotten...

As she spoke, Flonne led Pumbaa through the streets at a leisurely pace.

The slow walk was good for Pumbaa to look around, but after a while it all started to look the same, really. All these buildings were a lot alike, and there weren't really any big landmarks.
"How much further do you think we have to go?" He wasn't asking because he was getting tired--not yet--but because he was curious. If it was too much further, then he'd ask because he was getting tired.
