Where the heck am I? [Active/Open]
Character(s): Adell, open
Content: Adell just showed up. Is confused.
Setting: Muspelheim
Time: Afternoon, as soon as he shows up.
Warnings: None, I'd think.
Adell was confused. He's seen a lot of things in his time. Murderous cat-women. Plant-men. Washed up old rockstars becoming popular again due to random chance. He's seen his family become demons, and he's seen them transform back. He's seen different worlds, even. He has no problem waking up in different worlds from his home world. The problem is when he wasn't aware he went to sleep. And when his family is nowhere in sight. Adell looked around, panicked. "Taro? Mom? Dad?" he yelled, standing up and in a circle, trying to find any trace of his family's existence. "Rozalin?" he tries, waiting for confirmation from the overlord's reincarnation. Nothing. He takes a couple of deep breaths and waits some more. Still nothing. It must be a dream, he decides, reaching up to his shoulder with one hand to pinch himself. Still nothing. Not a dream, then.
He curses under his breath and tries to look around some more. What he sees is rather...shocking. Giant gates made up of golden flames. A line outside said gates, waiting to go inside. He nods to himself, thinking. He's obvious been kidnapped. Why, though? Did they want him? Was it just random chance? Or...did whoever kidnap him do so in order to get at his family? Or even Rozalin? He gritted his teeth. He needed to get back home as soon as possible. He nodded and looked at the gates. It'd be easier to find a way out if he went inside. More people to ask. And given that the only way to get inside would be to get in line... He got in line and waited. He had nothing better to do

It was just so... boring.
Sure, looking for a way to escape was her first priority, but hey, it's not like she could do that 24/7, right? And anyway, she felt as if she had already looked all over that stupid "castle" in the first place, what was left to discover. And then there was those election. Horray, another thing she couldn't really give a care about. First off, she refused to become a citizen so it's not like she had a say in it, plus, politics were always boring. And who cares who got voted in anyway? Well apparently more people than she thought since that was pretty much the main conversation topic around here.
So, she was bored.
Since the townspeople were always ever so useful to get information out of, she decided to do the next best thing, head on over to the nearest gate she could find, trying to get some sort of tourist information out of the guys running the desk at the gate. And of course... there was the biggest line she'd ever seen. Ergh... where do all these people come from anyway? Like hell she was going to wait the whole line just to go ask "So what's fun around here?" She tried the old "cut the line by coming from the other side" trick... but it didn't really do anything. She just received another pamphlet that didn't really say much, and a nasty look from the guy behind the desk for disrupting him.
So much for that it seems.
She looked back at the line. "No way. There's no way I'm going to wait that long..." Maybe she could go bug someone for info...

"...Hey." He thought about just walking away but this might be a chance to figure out what's happening. "Where is this place? I know it's called Paixao but...other then that, I'm clueless. I just went to sleep and BAM, here I am. Does this happen often? How do I get home? My family's probably worried for me..." He blinked and nodded. "Sorry, my name is Adell. Nice to meet you."

Priere was lost in thought when the man bumped into her, making her drop most of the papers she was holding. She was about a second away from her normal angry outburst when he just apologized. Well, at least some people around here had manners. She answered with her own "Sorry," though it was laced with some remains of annoyance.
She was about to just leave, grumbling and forgetting all about the useless papers and info, when she heard his question. Oh right, he was probably new... time to be the bearer of bad news once more. "You can't, we're all trapped here, sorry," that annoyance still present in her voice, but this time clearly not directed at him. "Pretty much everyone who doesn't look like that," she said, pointing at one of the many natives, "got kidnapped and stuck here, and now we can't leave." Now, Priere wasn't one to chew her words, but even she had to admit that she was starting to take this a little TOO well. She shook her head as if to disagree with herself, mentally telling herself that it's high time she got out of this stupid world.
"Uh-- oh, right, don't worry. We're working on that last part," she added, suddenly aware that maybe outright telling the new guy that he's been kidnapped wasn't such a good idea. "Oh right," she said, almost as an afterthought. "I'm Priere."

He continued picking up her papers as he heard her story. He was...trapped here? No one knew how to get out? At least there were more people like him...Wait! What if.... Adell whipped his head up towards Priere and handed over her papers. "Hello Priere. Um...sorry for all the questions, but...Have you seen my brother and sister? Their names are Taro and Hanako, and...um. Taro's kind of short, and he has black hair...um, Hanako..." Adell scratched the back of his head. "Well, she's a demon. She has little wings, her hair is pink and in a ponytail. And she's probably with a demon named Etna who wears a black...I don't know what they'd be called but it's rather skimpy, with a black and white miniskirt. Her hair is reddish pink and in two pigtails. Or, um..." He sighed. "Her name is Rozalin. She's a demon, too. She wears this black fancy dress, and she has two black wings. Her hair is blond and in this ponytail. I know that they're demons but they're really not that bad..."
He smiled at Priere. "Sorry if I'm taking your time, I just...Well, I need to protect them. I promised them, and I don't want them to get hurt because I got kidnapped from this weird...place, or whatever it is."

But then again, she couldn't really disagree with protecting siblings. After all she did the same with Culotte.
"No, sorry, doesn't ring a bell," she answered, still having some doubts about Adell. "You could always ask on that machine, if they're here, they'll answer. But, if they're demons, they should be fine on their own, no?"
no subject
He nodded at her, but shrugged. "Yeah, Rozalin's really tough, and for all her faults, Etna isn't the kind to leave her apprentice out towards the wolves. I think she appreciates someone sucking up to her. It's mainly Taro and my parents I'm worried about, they're not demons anymore and even when they were they weren't all that good at fighting."
Adell turned around and briefly fiddled with the machine he had obtained, attempting to make a message. He eventually succeeded.

At least, demon or not, he cared about his family, that was always a good thing.
"You're comfortable just telling some random stranger about demons though?" Hey, something like that back home was pretty much a death wish.
no subject
Adell blinked and scratched the back of his head again. "Right, forgot I'm not on Veldime anymore. Everyone there is used to it. I can't blame you if you're scared or distrustful, though. Most demons are jerks. Rozalin's an exception, and Hanako means well. They won't hurt you."
no subject
"Hrph, scared? Why would I be scared of a demon. They,re the ones who should be scared of me~."
no subject
"So you're a demon hunter, huh? Considering your clothes, I was expecting some kind of nun, but..." He shrugged. "That's cool. In that case, mind not hurting them? They're my family, and I swore to protect them. If you hurt them, I'm gonna have to hurt you back."
no subject
Priere froze in deep thought at this other point though. She was a demon hunter... hunting demons was what she did. Back home, there were no reason not to, after all, they were pretty much trying to kill everyone. But from what she was hearing, the ones from his home, they didn't do anything wrong. Sure, they were demons but...
She shook her head as if to tell herself she was stupid for even having to stop and thing about it. "Who exactly do you take me for? They might be demons, but I'm not going to start hunting down demons who haven't done anything!" she answered, nodding to herself. "If they start making trouble, then I'll do something about it, but otherwise, who cares?" Of course, there was always the possibility that Adell was lying, but that would be dealt in due time.
"I know what it's like to want to protect family after all, I have my little brother to worry about."
no subject
Adell sighed in relief. "Good. I didn't want to hurt you, and if you tried to hurt them...Well, I promised to protect them. That's all that matters." Adell smiled at her. "That's good. I've got an appointment to catch, apparently. So see you around, Priere!"
With that he nodded at her and walked away.
