call it aftermath, she's turning blue [ ACTIVE ]

Character(s): Terra, OPEN.
Content: An esper takes to the skies in a mad frenzy!
Setting: Allllll over Paixao. She's a'flyin'.
Time: Slightly backdated, forgive me. ;-; Around midday?
Warnings: Violence??

There was a fire surging through her. Below, the world seemed so small, insignificant, as she tore through the skies ahead. There was an urgency she couldn't describe, and that the beast wasn't willing to understand. Terra was no longer in control of herself, there were sensations inside of her that she had felt only a few times before.

Her esper, untamed, was purely a creature of instinct, driven forward by the need to protect herself. Behind her, her hair seemed to almost snap in the wind as she rushed ahead, fueled by the overwhelming awareness to flee. Get away from the danger. Get away from the black coat. Logic seemed to be all but lost on the creature that had taken over. There was only reaction, now.

Below, she took note of something. Movement? Was it her former captor? A scream laced through the sky as she dove forward and down, prepared to go to whatever lengths it took in order to ensure her survival.

ooc ; h'okay'! so! i thought that -- anyone who potentially wants in on the fight, feel free to post a new thread for terra to reply to! (unless you want a party to fight her, i'm cool with that, too! just jump in where ever suits ya!) since she's going to sort of be in berserk mode, she will keep fighting until a) she defeats you or b) you wound her enough for her to fly away in order to heal a little. :x

she will be flying all over paixao, so feel free to mention whatever area your character may be in!

saïx -- i would love it still if you dealt the final blows to her!
neirenn -- if you're still cool with finding her journal / her weakened body, that would be awesome. :]

Xemnas is not nearby enough for her to get the drop on him, but he makes silent, mental observations of this being that was once a form of a weak child before he injected her with the Light substance.

He watches her from a high rooftop amongst the city, hood back, and eyes calculating. This was an... unexpected turn of events, but not entirely unwelcome. A peculiar result, one that he could find a way to make something out of.

An untamed beast made from Light...

Ah, now didn't that seem familiar?

Before he could be spotted by her wrath, he sweeps away again in a doorway of darkness.

Alisa felt it was about time she headed out to visit the so called Halloween town. She just needed to catch a train from Paixao Central Station, from what she could tell, so that's where she headed. It seemed like it was going to be an uneventful trip until she heard the scream from above. Alisa stopped walking, opting to just stay perfectly still. If whatever it was that screamed felt like taking out its anger out on something, Alisa would be happy to be the outlet. It has been awhile since she's had a good battle.

In this case, the answer was 'no'. He was hardly her captor and wasn't particularly aware that she'd even been captured. True, he belonged to the Organization, but one would hardly be able tell it simply from looking at him. There was little point in wearing something that would simply scream his alliances to the world.

Besides, it made it significantly easier to look for their traitor, when he didn't have to avoid anyone who was more than simply another one of the mindless citizens.

Still, he wasn't about to let the fact that he was nominally undercover stop him from protecting himself when what sounded like death itself came screaming out down out the sky towards him. If the creature wanted a fight, a fight he would give it.

Glad to be of service, then :Dd

Although Saïx had no way of telling what was running through the creature's mind, he wasn't unfamiliar with that sort of all consuming rage. He felt it on a regular basis, as a matter of fact. It was something that he'd learned to ignore, if not control.

That being said, he had no intent of simply letting himself get mauled. It would have been unseemly, and thus he reacted in kind, calling his sword to his hand as he stepped back enough to bring it up between him and the descending creature.

She wasn't the only one to react unfavorably to the sound of claws on metal. It wasn't the first time he'd heard something similar, but that hardly made it more enjoyable. Still, his blade was hardly going to take any lasting damage from it.

Nor was he particularly inclined to let this.. this creature get the better of him, and his sword swung up and around even as she came heading his way. He would not let this whatever-it-was get the better of him.

That was all she had to bring? Saïx could have laughed, were the situation any different. If it was that simple to wound her, to bring her down to ground then there was hardly anything that could truly be called a fight. This was little more than taking care of an unruly child. Aggravating, perhaps, but nothing worth bringing his full strength to bear on. He would hardly wish to kill her.

Admittedly, the fire spell was impressive, but he'd grown used to them over his long years in Axel's presence. This one seemed to be a relatively low level version, and thus Saïx made absolutely no attempt to either move or block the fireball. It wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world, but he could manage it.

Besides, what better way to break someone's spirit by charging at them out of them remnants of their own attack, seemingly unharmed (but for minor singing) with sword swinging?

Persistent little thing, wasn't she? She had to have been hurting by now, he could almost smell the desperation. A wounded beast, on the edge of its strength, and he couldn't keep the barest hint of a smile off his face. He hadn't run into quite nearly anything so enjoyable in far too long. A little lightning wasn't going to hurt him too much.

Which wasn't to say that it didn't hurt. Far from it, as a matter of fact, and this time there was even a proper wince. Still, he wasn't going to be dissuaded that easily, and for a third time he came charging in. He could and would outlast her, if that was what he was forced to. It was a tactic that had worked quite well before, after all.

It was a normal day for Yuna. Walking around in her Gunner outfit, she was taking in the city again, wondering what she could do for the day. She'd taken a little time off from work for the moment, but she'd be back tomorrow. At least that kept her busy on most days.

What would keep her busy today was the pink thing flying around overhead, though she didn't know it at the time. She saw the shadow first and glanced up to frown at the shape. What was that? She'd never seen anything like it. Yuna shielded her eyes and simply stopped to watch it.
sumofallfayth: (...... o.o whut // do not comprehend)

[personal profile] sumofallfayth 2010-05-18 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa! The Thundara spell hit its mark, as Yuna wasn't expecting a battle at all. The former summoner cried out, quickly activating her garment grid so she could use the dresspheres accurately. What was this thing? She hadn't heard of anything like this running around!

Quickly looking up to where the thing was flying around, she aimed a couple of gunshots at the thing's limbs. She didn't want to kill it, but she did want it to stop attacking her!
sumofallfayth: (trigger happy // gunner)

[personal profile] sumofallfayth 2010-06-16 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh no... The sight of the Firaga definitely wasn't what Yuna had wanted. The creature's landing had thrown her off just enough that she couldn't get anything up before the spell went off, singeing her hair and shirt. Glaring at it, she began queuing up Trigger Happy. A few seconds later, her counter attack was a volley of gunshots, aimed to hurt but not kill. The unfortunate thing about that attack was that it left her wide open afterwards, as she had to take time to recover from the recoil in both guns.
sumofallfayth: (moogle time! // Mascot dressphere)

[personal profile] sumofallfayth 2010-07-20 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
What the heck was this thing?! Yuna found herself being pushed over and soon her feet had been pulled out from under her. On her back, she kicked up with her feet before quickly switching to her mascot dressphere. Let whatever this thing was deal with a falcon punch from a very large moogle!
sumofallfayth: (whoa what // aaahhh!)

[personal profile] sumofallfayth 2010-08-17 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
The silly Mascot dressphere was by far the hottest of the bunch, but Yuna dealt with it because it was also a good disguise and the most powerful. She didn't want to kill the thing, whatever it was, unless it really tried to kill her, but she did get up to walk cautiously closer. Her intention was to check to see if the thing was alive.

After the bulk of the fighting goes on

That--that magic! Neirenn could feel it, raw and wild and most of all powerful. She immediately cast a portal spell towards the direction that she could sense it from, but even in the few seconds it took for her to reach that spot, the brilliant pink creature was zooming away over the buildings. Neirenn stood there for a moment, mouth open as she watched before she realized that it was going to be gone very soon. Neirenn didn't need to see it to track it. Calling up the magic again, Neirenn cast the portal spell a second time and--it was the same. She wound up at the spot just as the glowing entity was vanishing towards another spot in the city.

...She couldn't keep doing this over and over. The part of Neirenn that had tried to tell her she shouldn't rush out after a magical power of unknown quantity was able to get through the message that she ought to have some magic left to defend herself. Which meant she would have to try and follow it--he--she?--on foot.

But that was no easy task. The creature left a trail of magic that was easy to follow--the flares and spurts of greater power made it easier still--but Neirenn wasn't good at running over long distances. Even cutting through alleys and going through buildings, there was no way to keep up... Neirenn clutched her side, panting, when she felt the presence nearby and coming towards her. Not letting herself stand awestruck a second time, she stood up straight and began mentally preparing herself for whatever was going to happen.

[identity profile] blackwatermage.livejournal.com 2010-06-14 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Neirenn let out an undignified yelp and took several steps backward as the wild-looking creature suddenly crashed down from the sky, but it became clear immediately that she was in no shape to fight. Abandoning the dark shield she had been prepared to cast, Neirenn rushed forward and knelt at her side.

She winced at the sight of the wounds all over her body. Bleeding... Neirenn fought down a rising panic and that horrible feeling of helplessness. If she could only heal--! But she didn't have time to be either panicked or enraged over the situation.

But the fact that she could speak was encouraging. "Terra?" That was her name, right? What could she do, what--right. Calling up her own magic, Neirenn held out her hands. Blue light glowed for a moment before a strip of clean, white cloth fell across her palms. "I'm going to help you. Can you hear me?" Neirenn didn't want to startle her and get hit by those claws.

[identity profile] blackwatermage.livejournal.com 2010-07-16 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes, I'm Neirenn." She tried to sound reassuring, but this was--she really didn't know how to do this. Terra wasn't human; maybe she would be able to heal herself once her magic was back to strength. But how long would that take--would it be too late before then?

At least her injuries didn't appear to be mortal. Just bloody and numerous. Neirenn reached for her, then stopped and took off her jacket. The gloves would get in the way of what she needed to do. Carefully, she began wrapping the bandage around Terra's arm, snugly but not tight enough to cut off circulation. "Tell me if this hurts you, all right?"

Her mind raced. Get the worst cleaned up and--well, she could teleport them to somewhere safer. That would be good.

[identity profile] blackwatermage.livejournal.com 2010-08-27 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Neirenn's eyes widened as Terra transformed, the bright glow fading away, the fur and massive head of hair vanishing and leaving behind a human being. Neirenn could just barely hear the woman say that it didn't hurt, but she wasn't sure how much she believed that.

"It's all right," she said automatically, continuing to bandage. When she was satisfied that Terra wasn't going to bleed out, Neirenn began preparing the portal spell. The bandages had a limited lifespan, but they'd do for now. "I'm going to get us out of here now."

Pale blue butterflies and wisps of light surrounded the two of them as Neirenn cast the spell, taking the two of them to her hotel room. "Okay, we're here."

There was a spark in Kefka's eyes and a spring to his step as he searched the city for the Esper girl. Finally, finally something he could actually use! A chance to take her for himself! While he didn't have the technology he had back in the Magitek Factory, he was sure he'd be able to find something that would suffice. For now, he would revel in the fact that the power he had been searching for had practically just fallen onto his doorstep.

Spotting Terra in the sky, Kefka let out a laugh of maniacal glee, one that didn't stop even as she dove at him. "That's right! Charge, charge, charge!" he cried, already starting to ready a counterattack. "Let me see that power of yours!"

[identity profile] thecourtgod.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
Kefka stared up at her wide-eyed only dancing backward to dodge Terra's charge at the last minute. With a flick of the wrist, the mage called down lightning, continuing to gleefully dance backward as he used thunder spell after thunder spell. "You can do better than that!" he sang. "Come here, my little Esper! Let's play!"

The fury in those eyes... The destructive power that radiated from her body! He wanted to use that power. He needed to use that power!

The thought buzzed in the mage's head like a swarm of angry locusts, drowning out any other thought or any plans on what to do with Terra once he had captured her.

[identity profile] thecourtgod.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Kefka's grin nearly faltered as his first and second strikes missed, but soon they continued to strike and strike and strike, and the sight of his descending beauty was more than enough to bring back his excitement all over again. And slowly she rose to her feet, her life, her rage still blazing in those bold, vicious eyes.

Hypnotized by those eyes, he didn't recognize the spell reeling toward him until it was almost too late. He dove out of the way of the spell, the point tearing through his sleeve and leaving a gash in his arm. The mage gingerly reached for the wound, fingers gently brushing against it as he winced. Scarlet droplets stained the ground and a tiny river ran down his arm, staining Kefka's brightly covered clothing. He traced the wound with his eyes and snarled, the sight of the wound awakening his rage.

Ignoring the pain that screamed through his arm every time he moved it, Kefka slung spell after spell in Terra's direction, more intent on the damage than his aim.
