This isn't Greece. [Active/open]
Character(s): Hercules, Open
Content: A wild Hercules appears.
Setting: Muspelhiem
Time: Week 21
Warnings: None
It wasn’t so much the fact that Hercules found himself in an unfamiliar place all of a sudden, it was how unfamiliar it was. Hercules had never seen architecture like this before, nor had he seen clothes like the people walking around were wearing before in his life. He just stared at the city in awe for a moment. From the looks of it, it was nowhere near Greece. How had he gotten here?
He was still staring at the people’s clothes, which were so different, and so much more elaborate than the clothes he was used to seeing, when he noticed them gathering in a line. Maybe there was someone there he could get information from there. There had to be something helpful there, at least. It wouldn’t hurt to go and see. He ran into the line, and prepared to get any information he could. He tried asking the people in the line, but they just ignored him. Hopefully the guard coming into view would be more helpful.
Though, when the man asked him for his name before he was able to get his questions in he stared at him in confusion for a bit before answering, “Uh, Hercules,” He replied, then he continued, “What is this place, how do I get back home?” But the man wasn’t paying attention, was everyone here like that? “Welcome to Paixao” was all the he said and he shoved a strange device into Herc’s hands. Hercules fumbled around with the object he was suddenly handed, trying not to break the delicate thing. When he got a good grip on it, he looked up at the gate in front of him.

How was he going to get home?

Riku had taken to climbing a ledge near a gate when he was bored, watching for anyone interesting. It was a decent alternative when he couldn't get to the Islands or have time to explore somewhere. It also meant he was far enough away not to get caught by some newbie and be stuck spending the rest of the day giving them a personalized tour. There he could watch the new faces and wonder what worlds they came from. He always wondered if he'd catch sight of someone he knew.
It was too bad the one he recognized wasn't coming through the gate.
Yzma was approaching some kid who looked like he was from Olympus Coliseum. Considering Riku suspected she'd offed the last young adult she was around, Riku hopped down from the ledge and decided to approach them both. Besides, he didn't look much younger than Riku, so he figured he'd respond more to him than an ancient human prune.
That is, assuming just Yzma walking up wasn't enough for the new guy to die of fright.

That's when Herc caught the sight of the boy that was approaching, maybe he would be a better source of answers than the strange woman, who was, quite frankly, scary beyond all reason.
"Hey! Do you know what this place is?" He asked the silver haired boy.
no subject
Sorry, short!tag is short.
He turned his attention back to the awkward teen and stuck a thumb in his pocket. "You probably heard it was Paixao. Long story short? All this is inside a castle of illusions. The whole place is a floor of the castle. And yeah. It sounds nuts. I know."
no subject
He then stared at the other boy, confused, "A castle?" He never heard of a castle before, but from the sound of it, it must have been some sort of building, "We're in a... a building? That does sound nuts, how is that possible?"
no subject
He turned and looked over his shoulder. "Name's Riku. You're gonna be stuck here a while. I can find you somewhere." Despite his attempts to avoid becoming a tour guide for teh day, he'd managed it. How ironic.
no subject
"Wait, stuck here? But I can't be stuck here, there has to be a way out," He protested. Phil probably wasn't happy that he had suddenly disappeared, and Pegasus would get worried. Someone had to know a way out.

"Wait, Hades? As in the god of the dead? What does he have to do with me?"
no subject
"Hey, you know a guy named... Who was it..." The teen narrowed his eyes as he thought about things Hades talked about. "Philitidus? Phili-- Ugh. Just Phil."
no subject
"Yeah, I know Phil." He answered tentatively, "I... just met him a couple weeks ago."
no subject
Simply ignoring the first question, Riku bluntly pieced together his realization. "You don't know that Hades hates you. Or that you're famous. You only recently met Phil and you and Sora look like an even match if you arm-wrestled Sora on top of all that." That being said, he knew better to judge a demigod based on looks.
Riku leaned against a nearby ornate trash can. "You're from a different time than me. Probably by years."
no subject
"You're from the future then?" He continued, curious.
no subject
"Yeah, I guess so." He looked him over. "How old are you, anyway? Sixteen?" His shoulders aren't really wide enough, but he's my height at least...
no subject
"Uh, fourteen, actually." Hercules was kind of tall for his age, it came with being of divine blood.
no subject
He turned again and motioned to follow. "Either way, you need a place to crash."
no subject
Though when Riku gestured for him to follow he did, because he did need a place to stay while he was here.
no subject
"Rule number one. The people here aren't the brightest." He pointed to the ornate golden trees. "See those leaves?"
no subject
"I kinda noticed," He replied, that explained why they were acting so apathetic when he was asking his questions, then he looked to the tree Riku was pointing too. "Yeah, what about them?"
no subject
"It's amazing what you can get away with. Convince them something shiny is valuable, and they'll take it as money. For a month I've been paying people in fake tree leaves." He pulled a few out of his pocket with the same relaxed gesture as one would pull out a couple dollar bills. Riku stuck them back into his deep pocket and left his hand there.
no subject
"Are the people around here really that... dense?" Herc replied. Who in their right mind would be so gullible about that and why didn't this city have a set currency?
no subject
As they approached the station, Riku continued. "Rule two. The guards won't let you out. But they're not too bad to sneak past."
