Running Into Nobody [Active/Closed]
Character(s): Sora and Roxas.
Content: Sora and Roxas run into each other, literally! Hilarity ensues?
Setting: Somewhere between the Palazzo Townhomes and Cafe Ersesat
Time: Around lunchtime, Week 20
Warnings: None for now
Sora, being a teenage boy, had a tendency to sleep like a log. When he finally managed to crawl out of bed today it was about noon. Hadn't he promised Donald that he would have lunch with him today? Well, between the time it would take Sora to get ready and make it to the cafe he would be a lot later than he said he would have been there. So Sora made haste and hightailed it out of his apartment.
Though, in Sora's mad dash to the cafe, he didn't see the poor soul that was unfortunate enough to wander into his path fast enough to be able to stop fast enough and he collided with them.

"Watch where...you're...going..." Roxas' voice trailed off as he studied the guy who'd knocked him over. "...Why do you look like me?" ...Not exactly the same, but...this guy looked way more like Roxas than he should have. They could have been twins...
no subject
"What?" Something wasn't right here, surely Roxas knew that.
no subject
This was definitely worse than Rafiki. At least the baboon hadn't acted like he knew Roxas...
no subject
Why was Roxas acting like this?
no subject
"Sorry...but I don't remember you..."
no subject
"Don't... remember? Why not?" Sora replied. It didn't make sense, last time they talked Roxas not only knew who he was, but seemed to want to know more. "Did something happen?"
no subject
This was starting to make Roxas feel guilty, every time he met someone new. Especially when it was someone who recognized him...
"How do you know me?"
no subject
"Because you're my... I'm your..." If Roxas didn't remember anything, then how could he possibly explain this? It wasn't as easy as just saying he was a friend.
"It... It's really hard to explain, Roxas.
no subject
"Why won't anyone tell me who I am?!" he shouted, unable to contain himself.
no subject
"It's complicated."
no subject
"Everyone keeps saying I need to get my memories back, but they won't tell me anything about who I was before I forgot. I mean...what if I'm better off like this? What if..." Roxas trailed off for a second, gaze falling to the cobblestone pavement for a moment.
"What if I'm happier now? If I forgot for a reason or something?"
no subject
Better? Was Roxas better like this? Or did the fact that he didn't have any memories make him even more incomplete? "But you need to know, Roxas! You can't be left in the dark about this! Who have you asked?" Maybe they just didn't know, and that's why they didn't tell him anything?
Sora looked away from Roxas, his hand unconsciously moving over his heart. "... Are you happy, Roxas?"
no subject
"I don't even know who they are, but someone told me I used to be one of them. I have no idea what I even used to do." The boy kind of laughed at the notion, knowing that he used to have a job and couldn't remember even the tiniest thing about it. And then that those people would be searching for him...and he shouldn't be found? It was a little funny.
"And...I don't know if I'm happy. I don't know if I remember what "happy" is supposed to feel like. Or if I even knew in the first place. But I get to be with my friends all the time, and we eat ice cream together all the time. We laugh, and we make jokes, and I just try not to think about it.
no subject
"That sounds like happy to me, Roxas, my friends always make me happy," And once again the issue came up, how could Sora possibly tell Roxas that he didn'y have a Heart?
no subject
"I didn't ask," he said shortly, starting to deny what Sora had just told him. "And even if I did, why should I believe you? All I know about you is your name."
He didn't care what Sora thought happy was.
no subject
"Well... we'll just have to change that," Roxas was never going to trust Sora is he didn't know anything about him. And Sora just wanted to be Roxas's friend.
no subject
"Hakuna Matata," Roxas muttered under his breath, trying to calm down.
no subject
Hakuna Matata? Sora gasped sharply. That's right, Timon had been asking about amnesia, what if Roxas had been the one he was talking about? He needed to have a chat with the meerkat, and he needed to talk to Riku about this. Sora couldn't help but feel a certain sense of dread about this situation.
no subject
Roxas didn't turn back around to talk. "If it's really that important...just let me have some fun for a while, all right?"
no subject
"I... I have to go," Sora said, "I was supposed to be meeting someone at the cafe," It wasn't a lie, he really was supposed to. "Um. See ya." he said as he started running toward cafe again.
What was Sora going to do now?
