A map, perfect! Why hadn’t he thought of that? Then again, Lumiere wasn’t sure where he could find a map even if he had thought of it. That would be something he would have to look into. The last thing he needed was to find himself lost while running errands for the master. Of course, even that he had to question. It was not at all like the castle here. Last he had spoken with the beast he had mentioned he was hungry. If he were to try and do something as simple as prepare a meal for the prince… Well, Lumiere had his doubts it would be as easy a task as it had been back home. From what he had been told, he was the only servant from his master’s castle to arrive in the mysterious city. There was no doubt that Lumiere could cook, the only problem was retrieving things such as groceries. After all, he was only a candelabrum. There was no way he could do all the shopping on his own. However, this was something he could worry about later. He was over thinking things and worst of all wasting this lovely woman’s time.

“Oui, that is perfect!” he replied excitedly. “Merci beaucoup, mademoiselle. I believe it was a café of some sort that he had mentioned. Café Earest? Non, non. Café Ersesat? I am afraid the name escapes me.” The candlestick explained in embarrassment before registering what Tiana had asked him. Lumiere stumbled briefly over his words in surprise while he tried to think of a suitable response. “Why, ah, yes! As a matter a fact, you may be of further assistance.” If Cogsworth were there he knew the strict clock would inform he was rushing into things too soon but maybe, just maybe, she was the one. The one they had all been waiting for to break the spell. She certainly had managed to look past his appearance perhaps she could look past princes as well? Now there was a thought Lumiere liked. Why, with this luck, they would all be human again by midnight!

“As of late my master has been… Shall we say, under the weather? He knows very little how to fend for himself. I fear he has gone hungry somewhere – or worse! That is why I must meet with him at once. After I am able to speak with him perhaps I may ask you for further assistance?”
