odd city [closed/complete]

Character(s): Cam (Cyber Cam), anyone else who wants to join in (might close soon, though).
Content: Cam comes to Paixao with the standard questions.
Setting: Joutenheim gate.
Time: Thursday evening.
Warnings: Uhh... gross recognition of Cyber Cam?

Cam thought this place was strange, in which the clash of both low-tech and high-tech was almost painful to the eyes. Although the technology was there, it didn't seem like it helped the people who accessed it. Although it made him wonder 'what am I doing here?' since he was sleeping off the Love Potion's after effects - which still pounded underneath his temples - he moved from his position - in which it didn't even register that he was crouching - and stretched, deciding that it would be wise to enter the city and search this new place.

He raised his hand to see if his glasses were still there - in which they were - and officially knew that Mr. Ratwell's potions were indeed lethal. Someone speaking out - "Name?" - jarred him from his thoughts, and he instinctively answered - "Cam Watanabe" - only to have something small and black handed out for him to take. "It's a journal. You'll need it around here."

Although the headache didn't bother bad enough to ask - "Is there a map on it?"

"Everything you need is on it."

He took the journal and opened it, only to have some tingle of electricity travel from his chest to the black thing, in which a familiar voice emitted from the speakers. "Hey bro!"

Cam gritted his teeth and looked at the 'journal', although he didn't see his replica's face on the screen. "What are you doing here?"

"I guess I got caught up in the amulet." - Cam could see the replica shrugging his shoulders - "And the communication line isn't working, I already tried. Bummer."

Cam frowned, noticing he wasn't the only one who had a journal, although the only one who had a talking journal. "Can you access the server on this journal and search around the city?"

"Sure thing bro."

After he was sure Cyber Cam left to check out other journals, he sighed and brought up a map. The nearest hotel was four miles to the south.

Great.

Streaking was out of the option - mainly with the painful headache - so he sighed and walked through the rather ridiculous gate; this city seemed off in a way. Placing the small black thing inside of his uniform jacket, he kept up a bubble of awareness as he started to walk through the city.
