The Smallest Acts [Active/Open]

Character(s): Belle, open!
Content: Belle busies herself in the library.
Setting: Os Dias Sao a Noite.
Time: Morning, Week 19
Warnings: None.

Belle coughed violently as a shower of dust cascaded down on her. Even with the blue handkerchief she'd covered her head with, the waving auburn tresses of her ponytail were streaked with white. She shook her head quickly to try to displace some of it from her head and shoulders and smiled wryly. Her little feather duster was clearly outmatched!

She carefully climbed down the ladder, giving a disparaging glance at the upper stacks of the library. Had no one looked at those books? How was it so much dust and grime had accumulated when the rest of the city was seemingly immaculate? Nobody cared about these lonely tomes, she supposed. Belle hopped down, a cloud of dust rising from her skirts with the movement. It was a shame...even if the books didn't hold any clues about Paixao, she still considered them invaluable. And this neglect was almost criminal!

Moving towards the center of the library, Belle stepped over several stacks of books she'd taken down and headed towards the gathered empty buckets. Before she started dusting the shelved themselves, she'd filled several buckets of water from the outside pump to use in wiping down the fragile covers and clouded decorations through out the building. Now it was time to fill them up again; she sighed, rubbing her lower back. Hauling buckets of water across the street and up the library stairs was her least favorite task of the day.

But! No use complaining. Smiling with grim determination, Belle tightened her bandanna and picked up a bucket. She headed out the door into the morning sunlight, humming softly to herself.

The fairy tale comparison was rather spot on, Naveen being a prince and all. "Understandable, not many people would expect an animal to talk," he replied, at least she hadn't freaked out and crushed him with a book. He glanced back into the library, "Well I'm sure the owners appreciate the help..." Even though, to Naveen, the library didn't seem to have an owner.

Dahilia may not have spotted Naveen yet, but he spotted her when she approached. "Hello there"
Yet another pretty girl who didn't like the natives here, maybe Paixao wasn't as bad as Naveen though.
