CAN I SMELL YOUR GASOLINE? CAN I PET YOUR WOLVERINE? [ active ]

Character(s): Jecht & OPEN
Content: RESISTANCE MEETING of the not so subtle-variety
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: 3:10pm >D
Warnings: Let's see!

OOC ; All right! So Jecht's meeting is go! I'm trying something a little different here so... There are 5 parts to his speech below! Feel free to react / have conversations with people in between them, just know that Jecht will not be responding until part 5, so sadly he will not stop his speech, EVEN IF YOU THROW TOMATOES AT HIM. He's persistent.

A promise he couldn't keep, she knew that now. She just knew it. He called them all out here, in the open and under the very scrutinizing eye of people (for lack of a better term) that saw them all as playthings. And he didn't even have an actual plan? Just a rousing speech that was supposed to, what? Get them all to act more reckless? How could he expect any of them, her especially, to get any hope from this?

Meg scowled, turning her face away from the stage. Who was the bigger fool here? Jecht for believing in the power of teamwork and friendship? Or her for believing in him?

*Keeping hidden, he's spying*

Yeah, Jecht, I see more idiots than I thought here. Great way to be sitting ducks, Riku thought. He'd purchased some different clothes earlier today, and now he leaned up against a wall in the closest alley listening. He had to admit, the gray hoodie was pretty comfortable, though it felt odd having his hair tucked under a cap. He kept his face low, looking like he was waiting for a friend to show up.

That being said, Jecht did have a point. Riku was able to see just who was on their side rather than just being mindless citizens of this city of memory. These would be the people he could contact for help. Or considering how open they were being about this, would be able to keep an eye on to help.

Re: THE PLAN. [ feel free to react or not ]

By the end of the speech, there were smiles--one significantly smaller than the other--on Braska and Auron's faces. Braska leaned in a little closer to Auron. "I told you to have faith in him. He sounds like a fine leader," he whispered, nodding for emphasis.

Auron had to admit the speech hadn't sounded that bad. Though considering the leadership Jecht's son showed, it shouldn't have been that much of a surprise. And at least he was there to help the other man plan things through (something he knew was not the blitzball player's strong point). "Better than I thought," he agreed.

Braska took a look around the gathered crowd. "And he does have a point. Look at all these people, Auron. We may have a chance!" He turned his gaze upward at the painted sky and chuckled to himself. "Even if this is dangerous... It isn't as though they don't already know who some of us are, right?"

Auron didn't respond, looking straight ahead. You could say he'd grown too pessimistic over the years, but he was willing to give this a shot.

After all, the two of them had a point.
