Regardless of warnings [active]
Character(s): Sora, open
Content: Sora arrives in the city
Setting: Muspelheim
Time: afternoon
Warnings: none.
“We’ll go together”
Sora had thought that door to the light that had appeared would have led him and Riku home to the islands. Not drop him off in some unfamiliar city. He tried to ask the gatekeeper what was going on, but he didn't seem to be willing to answer. Of course, it wasn’t the first time Sora had found himself on a mysterious new world. And these kinda things tended to happen to him for a reason. Maybe he wasn’t able to be home with his friends, but if Sora was needed on this world, he couldn’t ignore whatever problem it was.
“Hey, Riku, what do you think of this pla--” Sora cut himself off when he realized that Riku wasn’t anywhere to be found. Which didn‘t make any sense, because Riku had been right next to him when he went through that door. “Riku?!” He called, as he searched around for his friend. Sora had spent barely a day with Riku, and the universe was separating them again? That just wasn’t fair, not after all that time it took for him to find Riku.
Whatever was going on in this world. Whatever drew him too it, that would have to wait right now. Riku had to be somewhere in this city too, and Sora was gonna find him. He’d done it before and he could do it again. So Sora ran off towards where the most people were gathered, in hopes of getting information.

In the meantime, Riku had gone off to satisfy his curiosity. The only advantage he ever found to getting off the Islands was to stretch his legs as it were, but it had come at all-too-great a price. Unable to undo what had happened, he simply lived with it. Riku slung backpack he’d bought over a shoulder, now filled with enough supplies to accommodate anyone who was joining the exploration team..
And he almost dropped it at a familiar sight.
A little more than a week later, there was Sora, walking in through a gate with probably the same look on his face as his best friend had. Riku walked up with his head turned slightly. Castle Oblivion was all about illusions after all.
“...Sora?!”

It was a relief, to say the least, to find that Riku was here and safe. But that Riku was anywhere other than standing right next to him when they had went through that door at the same time, well, it just didn't make sense.
Not to mention that Riku didn't actually seem all that startled at being dropped into an unfamiliar world. Of course, the case could be made that Riku didn't want to appear surprised, but that didn't really seem to be it. There was a difference between not acting surprised and not being surprised.
"What's going on?"
no subject
"Castle Oblivion is going on," Riku replied flatly. "Took you long enough to get here." Looking up at the entrance Sora just came from, he watched the new arrivals come in.
"Welcome to Paixao. It's one of the castle's floors. And I don't know how, but there are a lot of Organization members still kicking."
no subject
But the rest of Sora's questions about this place would have to wait, because there was suddenly a much more pressing matter at hand. "The- the Organization!? But how? I thought we defeated them."
no subject
"We did. I don't get this, either. But they're still kicking. And we're playing around in their cage right now."
no subject
That probably explained the deja vu, but it wasn't enough to confirm that Riku was right. But Sora believed him anyway, because why would Riku lie to him about that?
"Well, whatever it is they're doing, we'll put a stop to it," If the Organization were still alive, then they were probably up to their same old schemes.

His expression became all the more grave. "And you said you wanted to meet Roxas?" Riku raised an eyebrow.
no subject
"Yeah, I do, but isn't Roxas...?" Sora raised hand to his heart, to indicate where he thought Roxas was residing now.
no subject
Riku closed his eyes and shook his head, thumbing over his shoulder. "Not here in Paixao. I've already met him."
no subject
Sora thought on what Riku was saying, his Nobody was really here? "But how is that possible?"
no subject
"You got me," he shrugged. For a moment he looked like he had his mind elsewhere. "But you really should meet him." This time.
no subject
"Yeah, that would be nice," Because it really wasn't all that fair for Roxas to have been forced to give up his life, Nobody or not, Sora wanted him to have a choice.

"Thanks," He replied.
