What do you mean 'a castle'? [Active/Open]
Character(s): Cid Highwind
Content: Cid being Cid
Setting: Cid's shop
Time: Afternoonish
Warnings: Cid
There were some things Cid had gotten used to over the years. Strange bedfellows, that damnably perky ninja, and Cloud's assorted issues, for example. There were still others he would never get used to. The ways of the city, for example. It wasn't right having a city in some damned castle. There wasn't any sense to it.
Unless of course it was the biggest damned castle he'd ever seen or heard, of and he was stubbornly not thinking about it. Someone would have had to have been fucking insane to ever think it was a good idea. There was too damned much work involved.
So, instead of trying to work out the insane logic of how on earth one managed to build a giant castle without seriously depleting the natural deposits of whatever the hell it is the place is (supposedly) made of, he's turned to something he understand. Machines. He won't get anything built if he keeps letting the affairs of the city distract him.

She opened the door and sauntered in, looking like she knew exactly what she was looking for, even though she had no idea what was in store in this place. A casual smile on her face, she looked around, taking everything in.

Or at least, not one immediately visible, although there was the semi-steady of muffled curses that seemed to follow Cid wherever he went coming from behind a door near the back of the shop.

She turned the knob quietly and opened it just a crack, glancing in to look for any threats before she went in.

Besides, he was far too busy suggesting that the pieces he was currently working on were alternately only fit for some highly improbable and unlikely thing or nothing more than a misbegotten bucket of bolts.

"I saw your shop while I was walking, and I was wondering if you may be able to help me." Or willing, it would all depend.
no subject
"Depends on what you were lookin' for."

"I am not one who is used to being weaponless in a strange town such as this one."
no subject
"We talkin' knives? Guns?"
no subject
"What is your normal charge?"
no subject
"You ain't gonna wait and see what sort of shit I can manage to dig up first?"
no subject
"Some of the people I have worked with tend to do things backwards than normal. And I figure I want to know a price range before I invest."
no subject
"Same deal as the restaurants. If it ain't a currency I'm familiar with I can just use it at one of the other shops."
no subject
She'd come to the right place.
"And what can you supply?" She asked, turning back towards him.

Remembering where he'd put them, on the other hand, was going to take a little more work. He'd never quite managed to put together a coherent filing system, and the place was still more than a little cluttered. Fortunately it didn't take to long for him come up with the appropriate place, puttering off to one of the half-forgotten boxes in the corner before coming back with a few guns and one decent set of knives.
