Team TARDIS goes exploring [Active]
Character(s): Jenny, Donna, the Doctor, and Rose
Content: Team TARDIS goes to explore the castle.
Setting: First the TARDIS, then St. Destino
Time: Afternoon?
Warnings: None
Curiosity had taken her the moment she had heard about the castle, and it hadn't taken long for her to make the final decision go and check it out. Before she knew it, she found herself looking her gun over and checking her ammo just before sliding a small dagger she had found in one of the shops into her right boot. Yes, she would certainly be set for this trip no matter what came around. True, she was only planning to take a look around the castle, but you never knew when guns or daggers would come in handy.
After being sure that everything was order, she slid her hand gun into the holder on her belt, and walked towards the TARDIS exit. One last time, she checked to be sure she had everything she felt she would need; after all, once she walked out, there was no guarantee she'd be able to get back in when she returned. Best to be sure the first time in this case, right? The moment she confirmed that all she needed was there, she smiled, and reached her hand out to open the door.

Hearing a noise from the TARDIS, she looked up, wondering who was going to be wandering out now, and if they would want company. She was getting bored again. Snapping the book shut, she waited, her patience was not her strong point, ever.

His timing couldn't have been better, really. Where in the TARDIS he'd been would be anyone's guess, but he'd returned to the control room just in time to see Jenny reaching for the door.
His companions had a habit lately of wandering off. It was getting a bit annoying.
Leaning against one of the railings, he folded his arms across his chest, waiting for a reply.

"Nothing exciting going on, I take it?" she asks, stepping over the threshold and blinking when she sees Jenny and the Doctor within. "Oh. Hi guys." She blinks. Was something actually going on?

"Oh you know, just going to explore a bit. Lots to see. Besides, I can't very well stay here when there's something new out there to see." She told him simply just before the TARDIS door opened and she spotted Rose walking in. Well, perhaps she could use Rose's entrance to her advantage.
"Right, now I best be going. I'll be sure to tell you all about it when I get back." With that said, she's going to try and walk past Rose and out the door.

"Jenny! Haven't seen you in a while." Which was true. "How about we get out and check out some of the stuff in the city?" Excuses, excuses, but a way to get away from here for a bit.

"Whoa, wait, hold it," the Doctor said, holding up his hands, trying to take charge of something that seemed to be slipping from his fingers.
He looked to Rose first, "I'll get back to you on that."
Then turned to Jenny. "Exploring where?" he asked, a bit suspicious of this. He doubted she was planning another trip around the city, especially considering the new information that had come to light. "And don't you run off just yet, I have something for you."
"But, actually, before anyone goes running off, I think we need to all have a little chat."
None of them had really yet discussed what to do with the new information. Even the Doctor had not realized they were in some created world inside another building. Of course, it did make some sense now. It wasn't anything like what he'd seen before, however. Definitely not a hologram, for example.

Even if the idea of exploring was sounding pretty good right about now.
"Chat about what, Doctor?"
no subject
"I just wanted to take a look at that castle. I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to gather some information about it." She told him simply. She wasn't sure what he'd say about it, but she planned to go with or without his permission. After all, even if he was her dad, it didn't change that she had a mind of her own and would make her own decisions. Still, for now, she supposed she didn't mind finding out about whatever the Doctor seemed to want to chat about. As long as it didn't stop her from exploring that castle, she'd listen.

"I didn't see that coming, I must admit, but it does make more than a bit of sense. Nothing being real, that is. It explains why no one ever leaves. Why the townsfolk are all rather two dimensional. All those things, but, a BIG but here, this means someone was keeping us here very much on purpose. I don't think we were meant to find this out, obviously, which means we don't know what will happen when we all start leaving. We need to be careful about proceeding, but I do think we should plow ahead. I'd actually rather like to have a look around myself, and I know I can't be the only one," the Doctor said, finally pausing to glance to Rose and Donna, knowing full well what Jenny certainly wanted.
"Though not too fond of leaving the TARDIS here, but I don't think it would quite fit through the church at the moment," he side-tracked a moment. That was a problem that would need fixing.
"So, yes. What I mean is, shall we all be off then?"
Of course, they were still missing one person. A certain nun wasn't here right now, was she?
no subject
Hopefully they'd be able to avoid that. Not sure exactly what they'd do in that situation again... would a sonic screwdriver have any effect on a Heartless?
Probably not, unfortunately. But the Doctor was always quick at thinking; if the time came, he'd squeeze them out of a situation as always, right?
"You've said that the TARDIS' walls are impenetrable. So just lock her up and she'll be fine, right?"
no subject
However, before they run off, she did have to ask, her curiosity still peaked. She just couldn't figure out what her dad wanted to give her. "Wait, didn't you say you had something for me?"
no subject
"And, yes, I do have something for you," he said, producing a key - a key to the TARDIS - which he held out to her. "Be a lot easier to meet here, if you can get in, wouldn't it?"
no subject
Rose glances at the key the Doctor holds out to Jenny and bites her cheek to try and suppress the huge grin threatening to break over her face. Rose was getting use to Jenny herself, but she hadn't been so sure how the Doctor was doing about the whole... weird thing.
This was a good step for them.
"So, we've got some information gathering to do, hm?" Team TARDIS set a course and make way?
no subject
Her mind took about a minute before to register the event before the most brilliant smile entered her features and she looked back at the Doctor, her eyes mirroring her excitement.
"You're really trusting me with a key?" She asked him, but she wasn't about to allow him to answer something that she already knew the answer to, and though it seemed like her smile couldn't get any brighter, she proved that it could. Before she knew it, she was throwing her arms around her father and giving him the largest hug she could manage.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you." She told him in high speed. This was one of the best things he could have ever given her, and she knew it. Receiving a key meant that he trusted her; that he was accepting her, and that meant more to her then the world.
no subject
Of course, he hadn't quite expected this reaction. He supposed, in hindsight, it was a sign he was beginning to accept her. Maybe the idea of having a daughter wasn't so bad. He returned the hug belatedly, pulling back to give her a firm look. "Just keep it somewhere hidden and safe. We don't want anyone getting into the TARDIS," he said, glancing around. "That goes for all of us."
That said, he released Jenny, to turn to the TARDIS' control console. "Right then! I suppose we can at least use her to get over to the church. Might be better if we park her there." he said, setting coordinates and resting his hand on a lever, pausing to look at everyone, to see if they were all ready. "Allons-y?"
no subject
It was more of a statement than a question. Rosette had had an adventure of her own - when the Doctor had said the TARDIS was bigger on the inside, he hadn't told her just how much bigger. Embarrassingly enough, she'd gotten lost.
Yeah. She wasn't about to do that again.
She leaned against the wall, arms crossed, one eyebrow quirked. They all knew her better than to head out without her.
