The Princess and the Clown [active]

Character(s): Kefka, Rozalin
Content: Rozalin, you have made a poor decision.
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Early Evening
Warnings: Kefka, as always, is a creepy bastard

What to do, what to do... It was so difficult to decide. On one hand, he could give the girl over and get into the good graces of the god. It was an excellent idea, considering he could be given a gift of a little power (and request more and more and more as time went on) in return. But, that would, of course, mean he would be in service of someone. That he didn't like.

Then again, it wasn't as though he could take whatever power the girl had now. He didn't have the proper equipment for it. But if he held her and waited... Oh, the possibilities! A little bribery here, a little "negotiation" there, and maybe a chance to keep all the prizes to himself!

But that would take so long. He had time, yes, but did he have the resources and the knowledge? Ugh, and now the situation had gone from exciting to frustrating. Hopefully the little princess would hurry it up.

Rozalin was quite ignorant of what she was walking into. True, the one she had spoken to did seem slightly odd, but nothing terribly out of the ordinary. She was a demon, after all, used to being surrounded by demon kind. A man with a strange face was not really all that odd.

All she wanted was somewhere nice to live. She was growing tired of the hotel and wanted something better, until Adell and the others found her and could bring her home.

She didn't keep Kefka long. She soon approached the strange man, only hesitating slightly.

"Hello? You're the one I spoke to, are you not?"

The... man? Well, he was male, although she was not certain if he was at all human, was certainly not quite what she'd expected. And the fact he couldn't even remember what she'd been meeting him about at first, awarded him an exasperated expression.

"Yes, that's correct," she replied, before hesitantly following. "I'd like to see it first before I make any decisions about settling there."

Rozalin had high expectations, after all. Not to mention, she wasn't sure she exactly could trust Kefka. Or, more to the point, she was beginning to question his sanity.

"Is that so? I-I was not aware! I haven't had to find a home before," she replied, a bit bewildered. Rozalin had always lived in the palace and then at Adell's. She knew nothing about this sort of thing, and had never read about it, as it wasn't something she could ever see herself having to do.

"Very well, then," she said, continuing to follow.

There were still remains to Ceu de Mouraria after Hades' last little fun celebration there! It made a decent place for him to camp out when he didn't want to deal with dull and dreary Maleficent. Which was most always.

He hadn't quite been expecting Kefka so soon, but he was delighted to see the crazed clown and the prize of honor. Guest of honor? No, no. 'Prize' worked especially well, in this case.

To greet her, Hades sweeps out his arms and comes up to full height from a rickety table, heading her way, barely containing his strangely giddy nature. "Rozalin! It's been awhile, hasn't it? You look fetching as always. Can I get you anything? Glass of wine, some biscuits? Hm? No?" He doesn't give her a chance to get a single word in, rising a hand out and tilting her chin up with a finger.

She was of course the princess-y type. Probably all sorts of fussy, too. No doubt she wouldn't take kindly to this at all.

'Him' wasn't who she was expecting to see at all. Not one bit. A lovely new home, was it? Even Rozalin realized at this point she'd very likely just walked into a trap. Of course, she'd realized this far too late.

"Y-You!" she gasped, the only word she was able to get in as she was cut off by his chatter.

Rozalin most certainly wasn't taking kindly to this at all in the least. She jerked her head back as he touched her, stepping backwards, almost bumping into Kefka. Rozalin's eyes darted around the room immediately, trying to pinpoint a method of escape, because she had a feeling she'd need it. She also moved to reach for her gun. There was no Adell to rescue her this time. She'd have to somehow get out of this herself.

"W-What do you want?"

Hades laughs at her own greeting to him. Yes. This girl had power, and if he could unlock it, there was so much they could do together, if she could see things his way! Really, how about Queen of the Underworld? Had a nice ring to it, right? She almost even looked fitting for the part...

He leans away from Rozalin and casts a confused look towards Kefka, finally remembering that he was still there. "Hey. What was it I had you doing again, other than bringing the darling princess?" He pauses, scratching his chin in contemplation. Owly eyes look up at the crispy ceiling. "No. That's not right. Ah, ah - I know. What were you expecting as a reward?"

His gaze rolls back towards Rozalin. "And I'll be with you in a moment, dear. Patience."

[identity profile] a-sinful-rose.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Now, Rozalin knew when she was being brushed off and ignored. Not to mention the discussion of a reward bouncing around had her even more unhappy. What did they think they were doing?!

"You are mistaken! I would mind, a great deal! I'm not going anywhere with either of you!" she spoke up, tightening her grip around the hilt of her small gun. She felt foolish now for ever believing this clown could possibly assist her.

This was all Adell's fault! If he hadn't disappeared...

He rolls his eyes and looks down at Rozalin, not caring about her gun in the slightest. "Please, doll. As if I really need you to go anywhere else with me. This little pad of mine will be suiting enough."

He faces back towards Kefka with a dull look. He really wanted the clown to just up-and-go already, he had business to tend to.

Smoke curls around Hades' thin fingers and then wisps in a wobbly line towards the floor, dancing through the air until all that's left is.....

....a rocking horse.

Hades leans back and dusts his hands together. "There ya go. Teensy weensy compensation - NOW ROZALIN! My dear, dear Rozy..."

[identity profile] a-sinful-rose.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Rozalin opened her mouth to reply the god, but was cut off as Kefka reacted to Hades'... payment.

Well then. With Kefka throwing a fit, and Hades clearly distracted by it, Rozalin began to edge back, her gaze on the door. Could she possibly escape? Well, there was only one way to find out.

[identity profile] masterfulflames.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Rozalin was far from Hades' mind by this point. He just stares blankly at Kefka as the clown throws a fit, barely even reacting to it. He points a finger at his creation and blandly states, "It's a rocking horse. You know. You ride it like a cowboy. Here."

Another twirl of smoke and there's a hat situated on Kefka's head.

"You want a lasso too?"

[identity profile] a-sinful-rose.livejournal.com 2010-01-06 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
As Kefka threw the biggest fit Rozalin had ever heard, she silently slipped out through the door, making a hasty escape. She didn't pause to check behind her, as she wasn't sure she could even spare a moment to do so.

As soon as she was out of the building she paused, staring back at it as she heard no signs of pursuit. Had... it really been that easy? What kind of kidnapping was this meant to be?!

She was sure, however, they would notice her absence soon enough, so Rozy quickly made herself scarce.

"Sheesh! Talk about greedy! Here I thought I was being such a gentleman, and you can't even accept my charitable nature?" Hades throws up is arms, shaking his head and stepping away. "Now, now, now. If everything in this 'pathetic' world can be destroyed, why is it all still intact? You're such a slacker."

He turns away from Kefka, ready to turn his full focus back to Rozalin... only... she wasn't there. His face falls and he looks around the area. "...Hey, where's the princess?"
