The Princess and the Clown [active]
Character(s): Kefka, Rozalin
Content: Rozalin, you have made a poor decision.
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Early Evening
Warnings: Kefka, as always, is a creepy bastard
What to do, what to do... It was so difficult to decide. On one hand, he could give the girl over and get into the good graces of the god. It was an excellent idea, considering he could be given a gift of a little power (and request more and more and more as time went on) in return. But, that would, of course, mean he would be in service of someone. That he didn't like.
Then again, it wasn't as though he could take whatever power the girl had now. He didn't have the proper equipment for it. But if he held her and waited... Oh, the possibilities! A little bribery here, a little "negotiation" there, and maybe a chance to keep all the prizes to himself!
But that would take so long. He had time, yes, but did he have the resources and the knowledge? Ugh, and now the situation had gone from exciting to frustrating. Hopefully the little princess would hurry it up.

All she wanted was somewhere nice to live. She was growing tired of the hotel and wanted something better, until Adell and the others found her and could bring her home.
She didn't keep Kefka long. She soon approached the strange man, only hesitating slightly.
"Hello? You're the one I spoke to, are you not?"
no subject
"Oh, that's right! You were looking for somewhere to live, weren't you? Now if you'll just follow me, we'll get you settled." With an exaggerated sweep of his arm, Kefka gestured to the path before them before walking down it, practically dancing with each step.
He supposed he could allow the god a glimpse of his pretty little prize. Whether he'd hand the girl over, however, he'd decide later. And who was to say he couldn't have his cake and eat it too?
no subject
"Yes, that's correct," she replied, before hesitantly following. "I'd like to see it first before I make any decisions about settling there."
Rozalin had high expectations, after all. Not to mention, she wasn't sure she exactly could trust Kefka. Or, more to the point, she was beginning to question his sanity.
no subject
"No, no, no. You're getting far too ahead of yourself. First we need to make a visit. Didn't I tell you I knew someone who knew just the place for you?" he asked her, "First we meet up with him, then we go to see your lovely home! There's a process to these kinds of things, you know."
no subject
"Very well, then," she said, continuing to follow.

He hadn't quite been expecting Kefka so soon, but he was delighted to see the crazed clown and the prize of honor. Guest of honor? No, no. 'Prize' worked especially well, in this case.
To greet her, Hades sweeps out his arms and comes up to full height from a rickety table, heading her way, barely containing his strangely giddy nature. "Rozalin! It's been awhile, hasn't it? You look fetching as always. Can I get you anything? Glass of wine, some biscuits? Hm? No?" He doesn't give her a chance to get a single word in, rising a hand out and tilting her chin up with a finger.
She was of course the princess-y type. Probably all sorts of fussy, too. No doubt she wouldn't take kindly to this at all.
no subject
Hm... Maybe. Maybe. Maybe that would be his reward. Who needed an extraction machine when you could BE one? Unless Hades had something better in mind... An expectant smile curled onto the mage's face once again as he stared up at Hades, awaiting his prize.
Kefka wouldn't leave until he got it.
no subject
"Y-You!" she gasped, the only word she was able to get in as she was cut off by his chatter.
Rozalin most certainly wasn't taking kindly to this at all in the least. She jerked her head back as he touched her, stepping backwards, almost bumping into Kefka. Rozalin's eyes darted around the room immediately, trying to pinpoint a method of escape, because she had a feeling she'd need it. She also moved to reach for her gun. There was no Adell to rescue her this time. She'd have to somehow get out of this herself.
"W-What do you want?"
no subject
He leans away from Rozalin and casts a confused look towards Kefka, finally remembering that he was still there. "Hey. What was it I had you doing again, other than bringing the darling princess?" He pauses, scratching his chin in contemplation. Owly eyes look up at the crispy ceiling. "No. That's not right. Ah, ah - I know. What were you expecting as a reward?"
His gaze rolls back towards Rozalin. "And I'll be with you in a moment, dear. Patience."
no subject
An odd twinkle in his eye, Kefka turned back around. "Don't be a miser! I can always go elsewhere, you know. I'm just asking for a teensy weensy bit of compensation. Someone as powerful as you can surely provide that much, right? ...Or was I mistaken?"
no subject
"You are mistaken! I would mind, a great deal! I'm not going anywhere with either of you!" she spoke up, tightening her grip around the hilt of her small gun. She felt foolish now for ever believing this clown could possibly assist her.
This was all Adell's fault! If he hadn't disappeared...
no subject
He faces back towards Kefka with a dull look. He really wanted the clown to just up-and-go already, he had business to tend to.
Smoke curls around Hades' thin fingers and then wisps in a wobbly line towards the floor, dancing through the air until all that's left is.....
....a rocking horse.
Hades leans back and dusts his hands together. "There ya go. Teensy weensy compensation - NOW ROZALIN! My dear, dear Rozy..."
no subject
And, as that jigsaw puzzle of anger began to come together, Kefka's eyes narrowed, his hands balled into fists, and he began to shake, rage building and building until a shriek suddenly pierced the atmosphere. "WHAT IS THIS?!"
"THIS ISN'T WHAT I ASKED FOR! THIS ISN'T WHAT I WANTED! I DEMAND YOU CHANGE IT NOW!" Kefka screamed, feet stomping, eyes blazing, and generally all but throwing himself on the floor in a full-blown tantrum. "CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT!"
no subject
Well then. With Kefka throwing a fit, and Hades clearly distracted by it, Rozalin began to edge back, her gaze on the door. Could she possibly escape? Well, there was only one way to find out.
no subject
Another twirl of smoke and there's a hat situated on Kefka's head.
"You want a lasso too?"
no subject
With a loud crack, a bolt of lightning struck the rocking horse, sending pieces of wood flying. When the mage spoke next, his voice was low, dark, and quiet, a statement only for himself whose tone contrasted almost frighteningly with that of his previous protests. "Just like everything else in this pathetic excuse of a world."
no subject
As soon as she was out of the building she paused, staring back at it as she heard no signs of pursuit. Had... it really been that easy? What kind of kidnapping was this meant to be?!
She was sure, however, they would notice her absence soon enough, so Rozy quickly made herself scarce.
no subject
He turns away from Kefka, ready to turn his full focus back to Rozalin... only... she wasn't there. His face falls and he looks around the area. "...Hey, where's the princess?"
no subject
He hardly seemed broken up about it, and as he continued, even seemed to be in a good mood. Kefka spoke in an almost sing-song way, giggling to himself all the while. "Looks like we ran into a liiiiittle bad luck, hmmmm? Someone should have been keeping an eye on her, shouldn't he?"
He cackled, tapping his chin thoughtfully and looking all-too-pleased. "But that's the way the cookie crumbles. Maybe that someone won't be so selfish next time. Have fun~!" And with that, the made turned away to make an exit of his own.
