“Hey, paws off!” The meerkat shouted when the demon tried to retrieve the piece of paper. “Finders keepers, losers weepers and all that.” He said and moved out of the man’s reach, report tightly in his hold. “I found it so I get to look at it first.”
True to his word, Timon held the document out of the Dark Adonis’ line of view so that he could observe it first. Of course, the fact that he hadn’t the slightest idea as to what he was looking at failed to help him understand it any further than the obvious: there were two animals and a bunch of human symbols drawn on it. He held the paper up and tilted his head to the side as though the new angle would help him decipher it. Unfortunately, with the scrap upside down, looking at it at almost any angle would fail to help. Hopefully Vyers hadn’t caught on to his confusion.
“Hmmm.” He hummed in an attempt to fool the demon. “Very interesting.” Timon continued, briefly peeking out from behind the report to check on the man. “Very interesting indeed.”
