The captain stared blankly at Belldandy for a moment or two before he burst into laughter. “Oh, forgive me, my dear.” Hook said between laughs. “But me bilge rats give a greater growl than that! Be it a pirate you wish to be, Miss Belldandy, there be plenty of practice ahead of you. Perhaps you’d do best to continue to refer to Hook as Captain alone. There is no need to go on account just yet.”

With the last of his chuckles to escape me, Hook straightened up and cleared his throat. “However, I must ask, where is it you are off to on such a morning as this?”
