Tidus 001 | wasurenaiyo | OPEN/ACTIVE
Character(s): Tidus, anybody else.
Content: Tidus arrives in Paixao.
Setting: Joutenheim Gate
Time: Let's assume daytime, even with the darkness.
Warnings: Shouldn't be any.
A slight breeze made its presence known through an echo present in the hallway. It reminded him of the hallways of Luca or Zanarkand's domes, really, as his steps signaled his advent through the passageway. What was going on...? The last thing he remembered clearly was jumping off of the bridge of the Fahrenheit... or was it something else? Unable to touch her, to hold Yuna in his arms and comfort her, that feeling left a wrenching feeling in his gut; he grimaced as he recalled that memory.
His hands gripped the journal that was handed to him rather hurriedly, as he looked at it in front of him, wondering what it was and what it was for. Paper, much less paperwork, wasn't a common sight considering everybody recorded things in spheres and such. Still, it seemed important to a degree, so he decided to hold onto it. After all, it could come in handy. Not that he knew how to use it.
This was frustrating. "What am I supposed to do here? I'm not real, so this can't be the afterlife." Gritting his teeth, Tidus let out a loud scream which echoed out, unanswered throughout the hallway. ... Damn, that should've made him feel better. It didn't. Softening his expression, he decided to try one more thing.
Putting his pointer finger and his thumb into his mouth, he whistled. Loudly.

She nearly dropped the entire garment grid when she heard that whistle. No... he couldn't be here... Could he? Blinking, she let the grid fall back into the pouch at her hip and reached up to her mouth, automatically sliding into the correct position to return the sound, but then she faltered. It was probably a random person, right?
Yuna didn't know and that was what made her take that breath and whistle back. She had to find out.

It was a whistle.
Taking a chance, Tidus whistled again, and ran toward where he heard the other sound. Nothing seemed to be standing in his way, and while it was dark, he was hoping he wouldn't accidentally run into anything. "Are you there?! Where are you?" He shouted. Maybe hearing a voice could confirm it...
no subject
...Yes, she did, and that voice only made her hope harder.
"I'm here!" she yelled back, punctuating her words with another whistle.

About the tenth cycle through all of those thoughts, his feet stopped as she entered his field of vision.
She certainly looked different, but there was no mistaking those hetero-chromatic eyes. "It's you..." His voice softly spoke, as if he was the one seeing a dream, and not the other way around. Putting on his best smile, he chuckled nervously. "Yo. Wassup?"

Of course, she couldn't help the shock registering on her face, nor the way her legs propelled her forward as she reached out to pull him into a crushing hug. The last time she'd tried to do that, she'd launched herself right through him and for a sickening moment, she was afraid that would happen again.
She didn't know what she'd do if he wasn't any more solid than he'd been that day.

pft let's get the time frame right here
She didn't want to ask how much he remembered just yet, but knew that would come soon enough.

Sure, her appearance changed, but that was how woman were, right? Always following the latest trends, after all. It was certainly a bit... surprising, seeing her dressed in such a modern manner in contrast to her fairly conservative getup from before, but Tidus was all for eye candy. "So, Yuna... what are you doing here? What am I doing here? Where is this, is this Spira?"
no subject
"I'm not sure exactly, but this isn't Spira," she began hesitantly. "It's a place called Paixao. It's... different from home, very different. Oh..." She paused as a thought occurred to her then. "Do you have a place to stay yet?"
no subject
Wait, this is Yuna here. She simply must've been meaning to be polite and to offer him to help him find a place to stay, right? Whether it was her kindness or selfishness of being a woman no longer tied to the title of summoner, who had to give her life to the people, Tidus wasn't entirely sure. Either way, he was setting himself up for either ecstasy or disappointment, neither of which he was sure he was entirely prepared for.
"Paixao, huh? Can't be any worse than the place I felt like I was from..."

"I'm sure there's a free one near the one I'm sharing with Belle. If you don't mind being that close to me, that is." And she grinned up at him, obviously teasing. She was a lot less restricted and confined, a lot freer, than the Yuna he'd last seen. It was quite a shocking difference if one wasn't ready for it, yet she was still the same Yuna and that would never change.
His last words made her heart squeeze, so she tried to ignore them and their implications. "Come on. Let's go find out!"
