Tifa Lockhart 001 | heart station | [ACTIVE]
Character(s): Tifa, open like Britney's vagoo.
Content: Arrival in the Vanaheim Gate.
Setting: Vanaheim
Time: I dunno. Week 11.
Warnings: Depends~ <3
... it felt a bit strange. Complete darkness... what was she doing here? Tifa's brown eyes focused on the faint traces of light around her, but after she left the odd gate with the journal that was handed to her, she still didn't understand what was going on. Were Cloud, Denzel, and Marlene all right? Wasn't she in Edge anymore? This all felt very surreal, but she knew she wouldn't be able to get any answers until she found somebody to help answer her questions.
Only, those odd creatures she encountered between here and there were different from any other monsters she has encountered. This probably wasn't even Gaia anymore. Punching another one into the wall; it made a fairly loud noise.

Her eyes had become somewhat accustomed to the dark, so that she was able to make out the figure in front of her. The young woman certainly didn't resemble the things that were chasing her, and so, she decied to call out a warning. "Wa-- Watch out!" she was huffing, panting, "there are even more coming this way!"

Well, that would've been simple to use, too. Concentrating, a materia orb lit up on her knuckle as she let loose a Firaga spell against another group of Heartless, briefly illuminating the surrounding area. "Thanks!" She nodded in the direction of the voice earlier.

"Was that -- magic?!" Terra cried out, without even realizing she had spoken out loud. She stopped dead in her tracks, now nearly gaping at Tifa. Of course, this little slip-up also meant that a Heartless was able to get the jump on her. She could sense its movements behind her as it took to the air; an attack from above.
Without hesitation, she unsheathed her rapier with one hand, slicing it across the creature, as it fell to the ground and dissolved as two separate pieces.
She exhaled a quick breath of relief before turning again in the brunette's direction.

"Pardon my rudeness." Tifa halted herself, holding out her hand. "My name is Tifa Lockhart. If I may ask... where is this?"

She seemed to recoil slightly when asked if her magic was a natural occurrance. Did this woman mean her harm? Perhaps, if she was working for someone who sought to exploit her abilities again. She nearly responded with a defensive answer, until Tifa took the moment to introduce herself. She certainly... didn't look like she had malicious intent with her question. But still, she thought it was perhaps best not to answer that right away.
Although she did hesitate until the last second, Terra took her hand and shook it, then let go. "I'm Terra," she said with a nod, "and this -- is Paixao."

"Those are Heartless," she explained, "that's what some people call them, anyway. There usually aren't so many, but since the light was taken away..." her voice faded, and she bit her lower lip for a moment before deciding to continue.
"I should tell you... This is -- another world entirely from the one you come from," she measured her words out carefully, "The same thing happened to me. I wound up here from my world, too..."
Terra drew in a breath, realizing now that they were quite close to the Vanaheim gate. She really had traveled further than she originally intended... Then again with mobs of Heartless on your tail, you didn't seem to be able to move fast enough.

"I don't think you're lying, since I don't believe you have a reason to." Tifa finally responded, a few seconds after taking everything in. "Thank you for telling me, though. I've faced more than a few lies in the past, so a breath of honesty is refreshing, really." She continued, tossing a few strands of hair behind her.
"... I hope I'm not interrupting any errands you're running. But... do you have time to tell me anything else?"
WOW i'm so sorry i'm slower than -- everything in the world. :(
"No, I -- I'm not doing anything right now. I was... sort of trying to get away from the Heartless before I ran into you, but... you seemed to take care of those pretty easily yourself," Terra spoke with a bit of a smile. This girl's fighting style... was somehow reminiscent of Sabin's.
"We shouldn't stay out here though. Come on, follow me. There should be some shelter not too far from here," she motioned with her hand for Tifa to follow as she turned and started walking.
it's fine. if i minded i'd've nagged you <3
"Thank you." Tifa broke the silence. "Say, Terra... is it in the middle of the night? Or is it always dark here?"
;-; s-still
Of course, it certainly made it harder when there were villains afoot, each trying to get the upper hand on the other group of, well, villains. It was like being caught between a rock and a hard place, and trying to survive.
"So they took away the light, this time. Who knows -- what they'll try to do next..."
