belldandy | love song no. 001 | OPEN/ACTIVE
Character(s): Belldandy, anybody else.
Content: Belldandy enters through Joutunheim Gate.
Setting: Joutunheim Gate.
Time: Evening, Week Nine
Warnings: I might suck D:
There was darkness.
Then... there was still darkness.
Her consciousness slowly returning, the Goddess First Class wondered if this was the gateway to Hell. It would make sense, but she could not trace the energy signatures of her sisters... or sense Keiichi... anywhere near her. They had all entered together, had they not? This made no sense.
Stepping through the gateway, everything was dim, and it took only a few seconds for Belldandy's eyes to adjust to the darkness. Vines. Thorns. Thorned vines protruded from everywhere... while it definitely would fit certain definitions of Hell, this certainly wasn't the Hell Belldandy was expecting. For one, no trace of Nidhogg or any demonic energy could be found.
Second of all... trying to find her sisters' energy signatures was resulting in nothing.
Clutching the journal she somehow had procured in her hands, she bit her lower lip.
This was quite distressing.

Naja felt a shimmer of pride when she made it to the gate area successfully. Now to inspect these thorns... there had to be something she could do about it... But a few swift stabs from her morningstar were having zero results.
Figures.
Of course, in this darkness, it was hard to see when anyone else was around, so when she hears movement, she whirls around, Morgenstern held out threateningly. "Who's there?!" she snaps.

"My name is Belldandy, Goddess First Class, Category Two, Unrestricted." She introduced herself, as she bowed. "May I ask your name?"
no subject
She slouches to one side, pulling up the morningstar to rest on a shoulder, curiosity sparkling in her gaze. "Goddess, huh? That's interrrestin'." Not that she understood the rest of the information coming out of the girl's mouth, but that didn't matter. She sounded like someone that could be useful in some way at least...
"Naja Salaheem," she says clearly, "President of the Salaheem Sentinel's. Welcome to Paixao. Oh, and your light is going to go out again soon, just for the record. There's a spell over this city. I don't think you can challenge the Mistress of Evil."

"Salaheem-san, you live here?" Naja had features that Belldandy did not recognize. Was this an alternate plane of existence?

She tilts her head back towards Belldandy. New folk. Always have so many questions. Still, she frowns a bit, surprised at hearing another one of the gate names from a newcomer. "This is the Joutenheim gate. Niflheim is..." Her ears flick as she thinks about it, remembering the lay of the city. "West of here, give or take. An' I don't live here, kid. Just another person plucked from her world and dropped in this one."
There. Did she cover everything? She felt like she was forgetting something.

"West of here..." The goddess ruminated on this new information. Still, Joutenheim? This dind't feel familiar... it was quite possible that this 'Niflheim' Salaheem-san was mentioning was in fact a very different place altogether. "'Another' insinuates that there are several others who have been... 'plucked', you say? - from their worlds." It was true that there was a vast multiverse, and it would have been pretentious of the gods to believe that the dimension where Yggdrasil resided was the highest plane of existence, but this all came as a bit of a shock to Belldandy.
"Perhaps you may have your reasons for staying here... or is it that we're all trapped, and the gates are one way?" She asked, a fairly solemn look on her polite face as she motioned to the gate she came from.
no subject
"Oh yes. Plenty of us - it's prretty easy to tell the natives from the outsiders." Well, not necessarily true. Blonde hair, blue eyes was one thing, but there were outsiders who had similar appearances. Ah well. The kid could figure it out. "We're trapped, though. Been here awhile, myself. No one's figured how to get out."
She rubs her brow in thoughts. What was it she was missing... "Oh!" she exclaims suddenly, snapping her fingers than pointing towards Belldandy. "You mentioned a name - Urd. Not a common name, 'least where I'm frrom. There's someone with that name here." Quite the... unique woman.
And then they were in complete darkness again, and Naja just lets out a heavy sigh. Fantastic.

As for the other comments, Belldandy wasn't entirely certain how to respond to any of them. She was trapped here, in this place called Paixao. Everybody was... and if she, a tenth dimensional Norn, couldn't find a way out, then it seemed unlikely that anybody else would be able to find a way out anytime soon.
"Thank you very much for your assistance, Salaheem-san." Belldandy bowed once again. "Given that it seems that I'll be here for a while... should you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask me." Oh, right. Lifting up her journal, and looked at it once again. "If I may ask one more question... what is this?"
