Characters: Joshua and Sanae Hanekoma.
Content: Joshua and Sanae have a chat and a cup of joe.
Setting: WildKat cafe.
Warnings: Huge, massive, epic spoilers for wewy. Up the yazoo and from the get-go. Potential violence should Minamimoto turn up.
Joshua took quite a while in making his way to WildKat. Really, nothing less could have been expected. Rather relieved to be frank that the Sanae that appeared to have opened up here was his Sanae and not simply an alternate that the shiny winged folk seemed to have as an insurance policy on their continued existence (and something that he was rather guilty of having as part of why he was so very damned hard to kill.) He still would not rush over there on one of the ridiculous carriages that lined the streets. Really, as classy as it looked to ride in one, he wasn't relishing the idea of any sort of driver / passenger communication that was part and parcel of riding that way. And the public transportation? ew. Perhaps it wouldn't be worth describing his attitude to getting on board a cramped train underground and sweating with all the rest down there. Not his style. Definately not.
Leisurely stroll it was. Within perhaps 45 minutes to an hour and a half wrapped in a world with so many things to do back home and not enough time, Joshua found himself at the enterance to the cafe. And without ceremony, he walked in -- moving a seat practically to the counter as he walked, positioning it there and flopping on it without any circumstance, resting his chin on his hands as he had all that time ago -- when he was still a human which was very bored with life, dropping in almost every day to converse with this barista. The man that seemed to have all of the answers in his back pocket back then. He resisted the urge to laugh to himself, Nothing had changed in that regard. Absolutely nothing. He still had all manner of questions that needed to be raised, the most important of which of course being Shibuya.

Setting down the cup he had been cleaning, he pushed up his sunglasses and waited for Joshua to take his seat. "So, what can I get you boss?"

"Information, Primarily. But let's talk shop first, if you don't mind. Cute attempt at offing me, though really. The Reaper? Bad choice. Too overzealous. Single-minded to a fault, doesn't think beyond the box. Also, he talks too much. " His tone was light, delicate. Not unlike someone light-heartedly claiming a rook in chess.

He had never been one to dwell overmuch on the past.
"Offing you was never the goal boss," Hanekoma replied with a shrug, "Preserving Shibuya was. I'll admit Madhatter isn't exactly the best pupil, but he's got the talent for improvisation and chaos that can throw a wrench in the best of plans. Still, I have to say, when it comes to assistants, you hit the jackpot. Now then, about that info, what do you want to know?"

His words scolded the other, though the tone was as always sweet and calm. It wasn't that much of an issue. He would win the best with Megumi. He would then Erase Shibuya in its entirety then concentrate on his other Grounds. "...When its Erased, I'll have to find someone to pin the blame for the taboo to, should the Higher Plane question things. And you'll live to help out another day. " Although living as a term was very loose.
He laughed slightly, the sound complete with a poisonous undertone, no matter how this form made it well...cherubic. "Black, no sugar if you don't mind. Regarding information.. general on the place. It hardly seems worth getting involved with, but I suppose we'll have to if we're to break the 'no flying' rule and get back. Also, have any idea what's happening in Shibuya without us? Has it stopped because we're not in a plane connected, or has by this point Megumi assumed hes won and assumed my position assuming I'm a dirty stop out?"
...Sanae was always better with the details. He couldn't say he gave them any consideration.

"Don't worry about it too much boss," Hanekoma replied with an easy shrug, pinpointing where the Composer came from in the time stream, "There's one factor that's going to come into play that none of us could have anticipated. I have a feeling things will work out differently than you planned, and after than I'll accept whatever consequences my actions have."
Making the coffee with almost mindless ease, Hanekoma slid the mug to Joshua and explained, "Well, it's a city called Paixao. The vibe here is like none I've ever seen, it's as if all of the people and creatures are an extension of the world itself. As for Shibuya, well I can't rightly say, though I expect each of us will return to a different city, assuming we are able to return to the point where we left."

This... is where he was stunned. Utterly stunned. Silently, his eyes moved to the side and he moved the coffee cup down, the only sound in the room the slight click of it against the countertop. "You don't need to, Sanae. The Proxy's self realization was a complete shock, but all it is was his vibe reacting to mine. I set out to educate him in the second week, and he picked up a few opinions on the way. Its nothing and I'm going to need you to get over Shibuya. If you continue to cross them, it'll be suicide."
He barely heard the afterwords about the city, he was too busy thinking about what Sanae had last said. He hated to say it, but he was running on impulse right now, and Joshua was not a man to do that. The statement about things working out differently had caught him off guard, so all he could do was raise his head again and look at the other, violet eyes showing the slightest confusion. "...Different city? Come again?"

Well well, it seemed for once he'd even managed to surprise the always unflappable Composer. Hanekoma felt a little guilty for messing with his boss like this, especially with an unfair advantage, but he did feel a small sense of triumph as well. Still, if he could aid Neku's task in any way, maybe he could repay the boy in some small way for the harm he'd done to him. "Now now, as the human's say, it ain't over till it's over. Neku has one more week to surprise you, and there's still the wild card you haven't taken into account. Watch one piece too closely, and you lose sight of the game."
"The city I go back to will be a very different one from the one you return to, though I imagine you'll get to see it soon enough. It'll be worth the wait."
