The short silence between the two seemed to last far longer than it truly had. His face revealed as little as Naja’s during that time, his eyes the only feature to do so otherwise. They practically sparkled in anticipation to challenging the woman. He was confident he could overthrow her if she were to rebel against him, even if she were to use her precious mace. Naja must have realized this as well at some point because she seemed to surrender her weapon rather easily. Genie had been expecting a far larger revolt from the mithra. Perhaps she was just testing him? He considered the idea briefly before tossing it aside and focusing on his prize.

“They’ll be waiting for you at the finish line.” Genie assured her once again as he carefully plucked the mace from her hand… Er, paw? He then placed it in a beautiful wooden case, into a specially made grove which fit the weapon perfectly. The lid swung down and a large lock was attached to it preventing any other hands from reaching the mace. “There, safe and sound. No hand, including my own, will lay themselves on it. Now, about those clubs and cart!”

The djinn clapped his hands together, the case previously in his them seeming to suddenly disappear. In exchange, a traditional looking golf cart appeared in a cloud of blue smoke followed with a bag of complete clubs. The genie paused for a moment after this and rubbed his chin. “Hmm… It feels like it’s missing something. –oh, I know!” Snapping his fingers together, a row of stick thick spikes appeared on the cart’s front. They were plastic, of course, but still looked none the less impressive. In satisfaction with the result of this he summoned a set of spikes for the rear of the cart as well. “
