“Make way for the champ!” Jecht bellowed, his arms above his head as though he was accepting cheers from a crowd. He arrived promptly at the first hole, raring to go. Without having been able to play blitzball in – god knows how long, he was chimping at the bit to work off some of his excess energy. Of course, sticking it to Hades had helped, but he still craved that sense of victory that you only got from winning a game. Truth be told, he didn’t know too much about this whole ‘golf’ schpeil, but if it was about sports, he was sure that he was going to come out on top.
“All right!” he called as he approached. “They tell me I need some clubs!” he announced. He had already taken the liberty to read up on the rules of the game, thanks to the information provided. Get the ball in the hole? No problem. His accuracy was great. Of course, he wasn’t sure how good it would be across such vast distances as the holes were, but he was sure that it would work out. They didn’t call him sublimely magnificent for nothing, you know. Nevermind that he came up with the name himself…

“First place is as good as mine!”
