Reaping the Rewards of Treachery [active/closed]
Character(s): Zexion, Lexaeus and Xemnas
Content: Passing on the knowledge of Marluxia's treachery
Setting: ???
Time: ???
Warnings: Scientists plotting, Xemnas pontificating
If Zexion had had the capability for proper emotions, he would have been ecstatic. Never in his wildest dreams had he expected that Larxene would all but hand him the last few pieces he needed. Therefore, that she had was something he counted as a great success. No surprise then, that he was practically as happy as Nobody could possibly be. It would, and could, all work just as he'd hoped. He'd woven the web, now all that was left to pull the strands together until they cut Marluxia off from everything he'd once called his.
But not even he could do as he wished alone. He was not the deciding force of the Organization, not even with Lexaeus to back him up. That was left to one man and one man alone.
Of course, Zexion had hardly bothered to mention he'd be arriving. It wouldn't do to tip his hand, even so far into the matter. Instead, he was counting on the fact the both he and Lexaeus would be somewhat-welcome presences despite their unannounced arrival. Besides, with the both of them it would hopefully impress the severity of their news upon the man.
But there was little time to worry about that, as he stepped out of the portal to where Xemnas was. With luck they wouldn't be interrupting anything important.

no subject
He lets the topic drop as quickly as he mentioned it. It cannot help them now.
Marluxia. He wonders if this revelation should surprise him - if he was capable of so much, that is. Xemnas pulls up a sheet of notes again; distraction, perhaps. Yes... Number XI always was the defiant one, was he not? In many ways, a shadow rubbing against his Organization with wrong methods and wrong ideals...
No. Even if Number VI had reason to lie, Xemnas could not deny his own knowledge.
He frowns, the paper at hand crinkling slightly as he glances back at the pair with a narrowing gaze, but he's come to a decision. He cannot simply go on the word of two others; not with a matter as fragile as this. "We will assemble our ranks at the meeting place." His expression darkens and the leaf of paper crumples in his grasp. "Do not let Number XI get word of this. Any who passes along a message will fall alongside him."
