Just A Little Fun [completed]

Character(s): Kefka, NPCs, anyone in the area.
Content: Hayley finally lets Kefka off his leash.
Setting: Jogo da Crianca Fairgrounds
Time: Not too long after Hades's MB post
Warnings: ...You're kidding, right?

He'd been putting it off for far too long--far, far too long--but it was becoming obvious that these imbeciles couldn't find anything. But... if they weren't going to help him out, he had his ways of getting what he wanted, and he made sure he got what he wanted. And, even better, he planned on actually doing something fairly original for once. Kidnapping was far too overrated, anyway!

There was a spring in Kefka's step as he approached the park. He watched the people mill about and felt his mood sink for a moment. Look at them all... he thought to himself disgustedly. Those dead eyes, the way they all looked the same... Completely blank! Even when they screamed it wasn't satisfying enough. They could cry and cry all they wanted, but they never reached that perfect note that rang through his ears so wonderfully. Pah, they were all cannon fodder in the end, anyway. And, at the moment, that was all he needed.

After all, he'd promised a show, and he intended to give one. He just needed to get an audience first. Until then, it was time for a little play.

The mage hummed to himself cheerfully and a few natives glanced over at him, a few shifting nervously. The man was strange and wore strange clothing, and something about him made them uneasy, so uneasy. But the feeling didn't last, as soon they fell to the ground, twitching as the last traces of lightning from the thunder spell coursed through their body.

The people began to run in a panic after that, though Kefka didn't seem to notice, still humming to himself and killing anyone who managed to wander a little too close.

"Three blind mice," he sang, "Three blind mice. See how they run--Wait." He frowned--or perhaps pouted. "Something's off here. ...There we go." He laughed loudly before setting the now-blinded men aflame and watching as they ran off into the distance. "Now THIS is entertainment! Run and scatter like the little mice you are! Uwee-hee-hee, I'm like a kid in a candy store!"

A good start; his target was picking up on it, and the opponent was getting pushed back, it was all he could hope for. But who knew how long this battle could go on, anyway; recent lessons reminded Tanaka not to get overconfident.

Though of course the whole point was feeling like there's no way you could lose.

Step shift dodge rise punch "Kyaa!" slide shift, Tanaka put the vast majority of his focus into ensuring he made no mistake in his movement, but something had to keep attention on the battle, in case of something like--

--yes, lightning could prove to be a problem. The ouendan gritted his teeth and dipped down in a sharp maneuver; if perfectly done, his target could be fast enough to dodge the attack, but if not... well, he wouldn't.
