Time's running out~! [completed]

Character(s): Dark Mousy, Zexion.
Content: Dark’s second day in the boiler room. Dark is all angsty.
Setting: ‘Boiler room’ in Savage Garden.
Time: Thursday morning, after Kadaj was taken away.
Warnings: Language, probably.

Time flies like an arrow, doesn‘t it? Keep on moving forward, never pausing, never ending, until it hits an object—whatever it might be—or lacked energy to continue. Sometimes he wondered, being kept in the room for such a long amount of time, if his time would end here, because with all honesty and from the bottom of his heart, he hated everything about this place. The heat, the water, and of course, the bastard that got him in this there—Zexion. But hell, what a life to waste. Dark Mousy wasn’t ready to die yet.

It was a shame, really, that he was caught in such a tight situation. It had only been two days before when he was spirit within a young boy’s body, coming out only when that one boy’s DNA got adjusted. He yearned for light, for freedom. Now he’s got it. So what was left to lose? “…Everything,” he found himself saying out loud to no one in particular. Kadaj was gone shortly before he woke up from his sleep, apparently. He was alone—with Wiz, that is.

Still, what exactly was ‘everything’? He no longer had to steal, to be the Legendary Phantom Thief that everyone talks about… to be a spirit. His life was basically complete, in the most twisted way possible. In the most weird way possible. Should he be complaining?

Dark was laying down flat on his back, using his neglected tank top as a spread. Wiz laid peacefully asleep upon his exposed abdomen… seeming so neutral to their endangered state. Of course, his pet was a tad naïve to understand what exactly was going on. After being poked around by Zexion, Dark was positive that Wiz was starting to like his own enemy. With Wiz being as close to his age as ever (which was around 500), he’d expect him to learn more about the real world. His first magical assistant still remained the innocent mess as it was five hundred years earlier.

Figures.

The former thief shifted himself up to a sitting position, using the bars of his cage to lean on. Wiz rolled slightly from the sudden movement, landing on his thigh with a little thud. Dark eyed his servant with a grim expression and tried to keep it that way as he heard and saw Wiz snore ‘kyuu’s. Well, isn’t that just precious. The bunny’s cuteness could sometimes be almost shocking. He really didn’t realize it that much until now, since he barely had the time to do so as a soul.

All he did for the Niwa family was work, work, and work. Occasionally, he’d find a certain miss to date, but other than that, all he did was steal. He had no time to examine the wings behind his back—he was too busy escaping from the police and all of that good stuff—which this ‘Paixao’ lacks so much of. Was there not any fun here? If there is, where the hell was it?

Obviously not anywhere in here. If this was Zexion’s definition of “fun,” then the kid seriously needs to get laid—with absolutely no sarcasm intended.

Dark gave a breathy huff as he felt a slight increase in temperature, ignoring the sweat dripping down his face. He ran a finger through his damp hair, quite surprised that it went by so smoothly. He kind of expected knots on the mess he called hair from all of that twisting and turning in his (rather uncomfortable) sleep.

His mind then drifted back to the game incident. Even after all of this, he had no idea of what was ahead of him. Absolutely no idea. Perhaps torture, or maybe a violent punishment. But hey, why would he be punished? He really didn’t do anything harmful, did he? Just little teasing nicknames, and tempted the other catch him. Apparently, Zexion took it a step ahead of him. Well, fuck. Scratch that; he took it a leap ahead of Dark.

And so he was caught. Literally caught, and forced into a human sized cage. It was humiliating in one way and overly overwhelming in another.

Now he was waiting. Waiting and waiting, and it has only been about 24 hours worth of delay. And Zexion still hasn’t shown himself, even a little visit. Even if the stranger would come (which by now, Dark doubted), what exactly was Dark waiting for? Death? Possibly. What Zexion had up his sleeves, he did not know. But heh, looks like time’s running out for him. He may live, he may die: but he’d definitely not leave this place the same person he was now. Yet, he continued waiting.

"It is not two requested things," he corrected as he moved back towards Dark's cage, then slowly circled around it, eyeing his form inside. Examining him. Like he did during the game. "I told you, I wanted my prize to be you." Either he was unaware of how wrong that sounded, or he didn't care. Most likely the second. "But, I never said what I wanted you for, you see?"

After a few rounds, he stopped infront of the cage, facing Dark. Wiz was still in his grasp, and he continued to pet him and fawn over him almost like a loving owner would. It was almost shocking to see someone as bitter and snappish as Zexion being so.. gentle with something, but, evidently, it was possible. "Besides." Blue eyes narrowed slightly, signifying that he would not be challenged on this next point. "You are now a captive. You have no choice in the matter, unless I say you do."

His gaze softened as he peered down at Wiz again. Hm. "I suggest you just go along with it." Pet, pet. "I would hate to have to make this more unpleasant than necessary."
