What kind of afterlife is this? [Active]
Character(s): Luke fon Fabre and anyone else if anyone uh wants? :Oa
Content: Ye usual arrival at a gate thing.
Setting: Niflheim Gate and inwards.
Time: Er... day.
Warnings: Nada!
"So, wait, what's this thing for?"
To say Luke was confused would be an understatement. He was pretty sure he was dead, but this wasn't what he'd exactly pictured as the afterlife. Then again, he didn't really know much about what that was even meant to be like. Then there was the whole not really feeling like he was dead. In fact, he felt rather alive. Then again, who knew what being dead felt like?
Still, as he accepted the strange device from the person at the gate, he was having doubts.
"It's a journal, of course. Welcome to Paixao! Next!"
Paixao? What was Paixao? The name didn't sound familiar at all. Once he might've put it down to his general cluelessness about Auldrant, but he'd been all over it over the past year. He'd never heard anyone mention somewhere by that name. So... maybe this really WAS some kind of afterlife?
He would have liked to ask them more questions, but he was met with an impatient glare, the next person behind him trying to approach the desk.
"Right. Okay. Uh, thanks I guess," he muttered, passing through the gate into the city.
Wow! Okay... He hadn't expected this.
Luke had seen some pretty amazing places during his travels, and while this place didn't exactly compare to some of them, it was pretty impressive in it's own way. It was also very different. He hadn't ever seen a place that quite looked like this. The domed roof alone was amazing! Had someone seriously built that?
After wandering a little ways into the city, Luke soon started wondering what exactly he should do now. He'd promised Tear he'd come back, hadn't he? He screwed that up pretty bad, that's for sure. Dead or alive, this was definitely not 'back'.

However as he approached the gate lost in his own thoughts, he did sense one thing. A sensation that melded both awe and confusion. Two weeks worth of wandering had given him enough of a vague understanding of the city's key population and the representative images on the journals to recognize what he had to look for when it came to people he should know.
He scanned the area for people who didn't look blonde. When he spotted the red head, he walked over, "I'm Sasame. Looking for something in particular?"

Although, it did make him question his theory of being in some weird afterlife thing. What use did the dead have for fontech?
The sudden voice addressing him, however, made him look up. Even Luke had noticed how everyone seemed to be blonde around here. It was... kind of creepy, but this guy was totally different from everyone else. "Uh... Hey there," he replied Sasame's greeting, kinda lamely.
"Well, heh, um... Not exactly."
