Meeting Anew [Active]
Character(s): Larxene Elenra and Marluxia
Content: Elenra's meeting someone who seems to know about the situation. She just isn't fully aware of who it is.
Setting: near the library
Time: evening
Warnings: manipulation, Marluxia
Elenra had made sure to get there as quickly as possible, first because she didn't want to miss whoever she was meeting, second because she was worried she might get lost, and third because she wanted to take a good look at the library. She'd always loved books, and this place was huge, although it mostly seemed to be filled with--questionable things. Still, some books were good, and she planned to spend quite a bit of time here, when she had time.
However, she couldn't linger here long. She had to figure out who it was who decided to meet with her. If they were expecting a Larxene look-a-like they'd be disappointed, and so she had to find them before they left.
She just hoped they'd stand out enough.

All of this... All of it done without his knowing. He wouldn't allow it. Whatever had possessed her to go seeking a heart, Marluxia intended to make sure she found a reason to curse it. Only he had the power to decide whether or not she could keep her heart, and he had decided she couldn't.
But all that would come in due time. He had no intentions of revealing his game yet. He was the mysterious stranger, the man only looking out for her in this dangerous world filled with people who wanted to manipulate her to their own devices. It was almost a shame that she was so naive.
He stood near the building, keeping an eye out for his former colleague, his thoughts never once betrayed by his expression.

"Are you the man meeting me?" she asked, not moving far from her books.

She watched his frown and wondered if he had been expecting her to still look like she had; she wondered how much he knew about Larxene. But asking directly wouldn't get her much, she thought. She would just make sure not to let too much of her guard down until he proved himself.
"Do I get a name to call you yet?"
no subject
Marluxia took a few steps closer and smiled--gentle, with a touch of arrogance. "But I didn't. And I wouldn't have. Unlike most of the people in this place, I actually care about your safety."
no subject
"You did," she said, and wondered if she should mention Ian before deciding against it; no need to let him know more than he really needed to, right? "Am I helping sate your curiosity any?"
no subject
He stopped as the circle was finished looking her in the eyes. "And what is the last thing you remember before appearing in this place?"
no subject
Even more vague. She wasn't keen on sharing any details with him, but still, he seemed willing enough to help her, if in a... Smarmy sort of way.

He waited a moment to see whether or not she would answer before continuing. "Many people don't know how they got here, you know. Some blinked, some fell asleep, some died. There's a new story with every new arrival."
no subject
"I don't remember arriving here at all," she said. "I was going home, early because of all the police warnings, and--" And was that it? There should have been more, shouldn't there? But no, she couldn't remember anything else. "And then I was in that shop."
no subject
"Police warnings... Your world must have been in a frightening situation. Unless it was just for your city, but even then... I wouldn't think they'd put out warnings for nothing."

Not that she could really remember. But it had sent her home to make sure her sister was alright. But she had done that before, and not just for this. He was making her think about it, and something in her rejected the idea.
"But does it matter? I'm here now."
no subject
"And you have a chance to start all over, don't you?" he asked her. "I think you'll do fine here. All you need to do is make yourself a little more comfortable."
