Who knew Auron had gullible friends [Active]
Character(s): Hades and Yuna
Content: Hades decides Yuna will make good to use against Auron. What. So when Hades Hate-Lists a person, they stay Hate-Listed.
Setting: The slightly toasty Ceu de Mouraria.
Time: Afternoon, week 6
Warnings: Subterfuge, creepy Hades, some violence, kidnapping, uhh... FUN STUFF <3
Unbelievable. Who knew there were people out there that could be so trusting, so gullible, especially in a city such as Paixao! Sheesh, how long had the girl been in this city? Couldn't have been long if she fell into believing Hades with not even - and really, this was the truth - a single question about Hades' intentions.
Oh yes he was just so worried about Auron! Please. The guy made Hades twitch just thinking about him. Fired him up almost instantly. And still, being forgotten? Oh, that one stung. Left a real mark in Hades' dark soul. He'd be sure that Auron never forgot the Lord of the Dead again.
Heh. So easy, luring people into his shadows. He almost had that Rue girl, too... would've been perfect. Another naive sort lingering around. Too bad she upped and disappeared. Whatever, he easily could make due.
He lingers on the stage, still well charred from when he had done battle on it. Any natives continued to avoid him when he came by, halting any of their work on fixing the place from what he had done to it. As if he cared. It made it so much more his stage with them shying away.
There he waited, until the foolish woman graced him with her presence. Then... oh yes, then he could have a bit of fun.

How very deluded she was.
Walking up to the meeting place after a nice long walk, Yuna glanced around and frowned a bit. No one was around. It was almost as though people were avoiding this and she couldn't imagine why the man would have suggested a place where people wouldn't even go.
Yet, she kept looking, wondering if the man had arrived yet and why that creepy guy in the blue was just standing there.

Hades laughs, holding open his arms in a sort of greeting to the entering woman and offering a dramatic bow as behind her the shadowy corners seem to shift and move.
"Hello there, princess, so glad you could arrive and in such a timely manner, too. Wonderful! Isn't this place lovely? I think it is. The scorch marks give it a sort of charm that I just can't put my finger on!"
And then just as quickly as he speaks, he's gliding alongside her, a hand slipping over her shoulders. He gives her one of his 'charming' smiles in which it just really is the complete opposite of such. "You're Auron's friend, right? Of course you are! Boy do we have things to talk about!"

The idea that the blue man might be the one who had called her out here was an unsettling one and so she tried to keep her distance, pulling away a bit when he slid a hand around her shoulders. Who the heck was he and why was he acting like he owned the place?
She chose not to respond to the first part, letting it go in one ear and out the other. He was as bad as Tobli about rambling, but at least she could understand this one easily.
"What happened to Si-" She caught herself and shook her head a little. Things were different now. "What happened to Auron?"
Keeping herself ready to act, she waited for a response. She wasn't particularly expecting anything, but she did have her twin guns at her hips if she needed something quickly. She hoped she wouldn't.

He wondered if she knew, not that he cared one way or the other. Sure, it'd be more fun to break the news to her himself. But hey, he could work with what he was given. And Hades of course had his own defenses if the woman turned out to have some spunk to go with her beauty, not that he needed a whole arsenal to deal with one girl. HE WAS A GOD.
"Look, darling," the smoky figurine disappears with another puff and he holds out the hand to her, "I think it's time I introduce myself. Hades, Lord of the Dead, how are ya?"
Because really, Hades didn't have much regarding Auron to actually talk about.

Her hands twitched slightly, though they didn’t reach for her guns just yet. She was running a mental list of all the dresspheres she had on her just in case something was about to go terribly wrong and she would need as much power as she could get.
And then he mentioned his name and title. That was when Yuna knew this wasn’t a good thing. Lord of the Dead? Whatever this world had to offer, she was more than certain that being the lord of the dead wasn’t a good thing.
“I could be better.” Well, at least she was honest. “How do you know about Sir Auron?” she asked, voice tight as she stood there. Normally, she would have offered a nicer, more polite response along with her name, but this guy was giving her the creeps more and more. Her arms slowly crossed over her chest as she took a step back, more than ready now to grab her guns easily. If all else failed, she could pull off Trigger Happy to keep him at bay for a while.
damn post-con-blarg
"Auron? Let's just say, Auron and I have a mutual... dislike for one another." There was the pure, honest to Olympus truth of it. See! Even Hades could avoid lying once and awhile - but only when the truth was just more fun. He laughs and smirks at the girl, folding his arms and leaning back a bit.
Come on, kid, he wants to say, just try and shoot me.
cons are evil like that >> but so worth it
"So now you're telling me you don't even like him?"
This made no sense...
Blinking at him, Yuna decided to make a break for it. Wheeling around, she attempted to run back the way she'd come in. Please let it still be open, please... She didn't want to stay here with him any longer.

It's fun allowing mortals to think they could do some good.
"Oh doll, don't be like that now! You don't seem to understand the position you've oh so wonderfully put yourself in."
no subject
"What do you mean, 'the position I've put myself in?'"
no subject
"Darling, darling," he drawls, stalking lazily towards her, "you see, I was in need of a tool - ammunition of sorts - to use against your good friend 'Sir Auron'," oh, did she not think he picked up on that? What? Was the guy like... her knight in shining armor or something? Eesh, pathetic. "And then you, all kind and gullible, stepped up to the plate!"
no subject
She'd walked right into a really well-laid trap.
Regardless, her hands didn't waver and her gaze hardened as index fingers squeezed, activating Trigger Happy. Bullet after bullet shot towards Hades and she hoped desperately that at least one would hit.
"You're wrong!" she called to him amid the sound of gunfire. "I'm not your tool!" Speaking of that, why did this guy even need one?
no subject
Damn, he'd make the guy show something.
"Keep firin'. Come on. Show me your rage! Your FEAR!" he laughs. Several did actually sink into Hades, but he didn't let his annoyance show; now, if she took out a cannon or something, then it would be Hades' rage showing.
"No, I really think you are. So sorry~ But you're definitely mine now."

Replacing one gun in its holster, while keeping the other trained on Hades as she backed up rapidly (hoping to hold him off for just long enough), Yuna reached into her pouch, taking the two seconds necessary to find the correct garment grid, activate that, find the dressphere she wanted, and activate that. Light flashed all around her and in a matter of seconds, she was standing in her Gun Mage outfit. With a slight smirk, she used a bit of her energy for an ability she'd learned called Heaven's Cataract.
The air around them started shaking, as though Yuna had grasped it with her hands and tossed it around a bit. The tremors lasted for a few seconds before stopping, but she knew what it was like to feel as though the air in and around you was stone and being thoroughly tossed around. It hurt. With any luck, Hades' physical and magical defense would have lowered as well.

So what if he was the one to egg her on, it was still more than what he would have expected from her, and it was time to show her what she had gotten herself into. No more messing around!
If she was going to play flashy and send things flying, then so was he, giant fireballs being thrown out around him (really, he had a knack for simply destroying this place, didn't he?), and to emphasize his rage further, he yells, calling into the shadows, "HEARTLESS!"
You'll probably have to knock her out to get her to stop >>a
Once he stopped, though, she opted for Seed Canon, thrusting a rather large (about the size of her head) plant seed at him from out of nowhere. If that hit, she didn't notice, because at that moment, black shadows began springing up around her and she realized she really had walked into something over her head. That didn't mean she wasn't going to try, though, and she breathed on the ones closest to her, hoping they were vulnerable to Petrify.
*slaps at email for being slow* .... oh don't worry, he will :D No need to damage tools...
Hades rose the heat around him, extinguishing much of what he could that she had thrown her way. "I AM A GOD!" he roars at her, barely even bothering to calm down. The only bit of sense in his mind right now is reminding him that it would be little good to him if he destroyed the girl before he could even flaunt having her in his possession.
no subject
The girl fled as much as she could, dodging flames here and there before trying to send another Seed Canon at Hades again. The cry that he was a god stopped her cold before she settled back in and tried harder. She'd defeated a god before; she could do it again now!
"You don't scare me!" she cried, even as the heat threatened to literally burn her.
.... or he just might choke her til she passes out........ er. >>
Oh yeah. Was he good, or was he good?
He laughs, strolling towards her, the Heartless parting a path away from him and skittering closer to her. "And if you aren't, then you should be, babe."
sob it'd work |D;b
Regardless, Yuna kept her weapon trained on Hades as he moved closer. The shadow things were moving aside for him and every so often, she had to kick a few aside to move backwards another foot or so. She blasted a couple away as they moved nearer, not liking the effect they had on her.
"No thanks," she answered smartly. At this point, it was an act. She was scared of him, but she was so used to being Spira's last hope that she couldn't back down now. She wasn't giving this one up without a fight, a sentiment revealed as she loosed yet another bullet at the guy. She was really getting tired of this whole 'back the girl into a corner and watch her flail' thing.

Or something like that. He hadn't quite ironed out the kinks of the second half of his plan, after all. Ah, hey, these sorts of things? The pieces lined up before a guy as he went along. He'd get the gig figured.
"I think you missed the point where you had a decision in this," he says, a smirk easing across his face. The flames die down and suddenly he's there, unbelievably close to her, and all business now. He's done with her childish attempts to fend him off; there's no where for her to run, now.
no subject
“I didn’t miss anything,” she answered with determination. “I still have a choice in this and my choice is to fight you!”
If she had the two seconds available, she’d shoot. If not… at least she gave it her best shot.

She could fire, maybe. She could struggle and throw a fit and attempt to be the dominate one in this fight, but none of it mattered, because she wasn't. Hades had one hand knocking away her gun, another around her neck. "Much better," he drawls lazily, leaning in and chuckling lightly. "Don't worry, I'll find somewhere nice for you to stay until maybe a panic unfolds..."
He holds her against the wall, laughs once more for good measure, and then hits her head into it, hard, to knock her out.

The brunette head cracked against the wall and it was with a final thought of her father and the worry she would put him through that Yuna slipped into unconsciousness.
