Time really did go by far too slowly when one was bored, Kefka had decided.  Not that he hadn't known this before, but it seemed as though the conversation had been had eons ago, and it didn't help that he was so excited to see her again.

It was just too bad the general wasn't as malleable as she had been before.  But that could be changed easily enough!  With enough time, all resolve wavered and all promises came to naught.  Hee-hee~  He would be glad to make her will bend sooner rather than later.  Patience never had been one of his virtues.

Aside from now, at least.  When the prize was so great, even that could be managed.

Celes' eyes rolled at Kefka's rather elaborate prattle. He'd always been one to ramble on relentlessly about absolutely nothing and now was proving to be no different. The one who was good with words was speaking to the one who couldn't string two coherent sentences together while she was left watching her adversary. Watching.. and waiting.

Her hands tightened their grip on her swords as she stood there, waiting for Kefka to make another move.

"With the way you're moving around, it's hard to tell what the main course actually is," she grumbled, ever watchful as her muscles readied for another reaction dive.
