About that trunk... [Active]
Character(s): The Doctor, Yuuko, Sora and Mr. H (thus far... annnnd anyone from Team TARDIS who decides to follow the Doctor.)
Content: The Doctor meets with those who thinks he can open a trunk lock... but of course, he doesn't have a trunk to unlock.
Setting: Cafe Ersesat near Niflheim
Time: Morning... just into week 2. >.>;
Warnings:DOCTOR POST FLOOD Nada
He did feel a bit guilty for sort of tricking those he was meeting, but he was quite sure the journals weren't to be trusted, so there really hadn't been any other way. Not easily anyways. Of course, whether this would work was another matter, but he'd decided to be optimistic. It could well work. There were people here from all kinds of universes with abilities the Doctor couldn't even quite explain (and that was always saying something) so the possibility that one of them really could open it was there.
Of course, he'd made one mistake of failing to mention an exact time, but morning would seem logical, so he went with that.
Sitting outside the cafe, with a cup of tea, he waited patiently. The door wasn't going anywhere, after all, he had plenty of time.

She had a knack for knowing when to be at a place when she was needed, it was fate after all, so it wasn't a surprise that she found herself at Cafe Ersesat in the morning. Yuuko brushed away some of the strands with a flick of her black gloved hand and spied a young man sitting outside drinking tea. Without another word she sat down, placing her bag beside her feet and folding her hands so she could rest her chin on them, her elbows propped on the table, "The Doctor, I presume? I believe you called for me?"

He did spend a few confused moments looking for the man who had asked him about the trunk, but after a moment he spotted him.
"Hey!" Sora called, waving brightly. "Did you bring the trunk?"
no subject
"Hello there folks, sorry for being late, the price of owning your own business. Anyway, I take it you're the Doctor," he asked, extending a hand to the sitting man, an easy grin on his face. "I've heard a bit about you. Very impressive stuff."
Turning he smiled at Yuuko, taking her hand and kissing it before saying, "Good to see you again Yuuko." Finally he turned to Sora with a wave and said, "I'm afraid we haven't met yet boss. Names Sanae Hanekoma, pleasure to meet you."
no subject
"That's right!" he confirmed before turning to look over at the second voice to greet him, giving a friendly grin to the boy who had rather interesting fashion sense.
"'Allo!" he repeated his greeting. "Oh right, I'll get to that as soon as--"
He cut off as there was the third person, it seemed. Well, seemed he'd had nothing to worry about with the time. "No reason to apologize, you're right on time!" he replied as he shook Hanekoma's hand, animatedly, meanwhile wondering just who it was who'd been praising him. "Have you then? Well, I guess I better live up to it then."
Well, that was everyone. The Doctor had moved from his seat by this point, standing before the small gathering.
"Well, since this is everyone, I suppose I can go ahead and explain then," he said, beginning his explanation.
"The truth of the matter is, there is a lock that needs unlocking, but it isn't a trunk. Never was a trunk. Though I do have quite a few, but they're all quite openable. It's a door that I really didn't want to mention on the journals, since it's in a church just outside the domes."
no subject
The Doctor confirmed that this was supposedly everyone so Yuuko turned her attention to him. She did wonder if she could get something out of this, if there were two other people here it would probably be better to turn to them first...they could probably do it free of charge after all. Still, it was best to listen and when he revealed that it wasn't a trunk at all Yuuko quirked an eyebrow, clearly a little surprised, although that was the only indication that she was, other wise her face was composed. "A church? Hmm...that might raise the price if you rely on me," she replied thoughtfully, "Although, that would all depend on the type of lock. Really, I can't name a price unless I see this place clearly."
She rose from the table as well, "I take it you will lead us there?"

When the man who had called them started talking again, Sora's attention fell back on him. Not a trunk, but a church door? Going outside the domes sounded interesting, so he'd definitely go with them if they wanted to. After all, he had a keyblade, and if there was something it couldn't lock or unlock, he hadn't found it yet. Maybe it was the door to this world! But there was one thing that was bothering him...
"Why do you want to open it?"
no subject
This whole little expedition was becoming more interesting by the second. He could tell from the Vibes of all present that all had traveled between more worlds than just this one and their place of origin, though Sora's was subtle enough to indicate he'd stayed within his own dimension. What a very interesting bunch indeed.
He shrugged with a grin and said, "Sounds like a interesting time. I'd like to see what kind of lock would require such special attention. People rarely use strong locks unless they have something important to protect. Lead the way Doctor."
no subject
"Hang on, let me explain a bit. First off, the church is good ways from the city. It seems rather normal, but inside there's a door that looks like it should be just a closet, but it's not. It leads to another room that can't exist within the church. It appears to be dimensionally transcendent. In that room is another door, and that door has a large lock in it, that my sonic screwdriver couldn't open. Bit strange, wouldn't you say?"
The Doctor finally paused to let all that sink in for a moment before he continued.
"Also, there's a bit of a small problem, well, actually it's rather a large problem. The door is guarded by a large white praying mantis," he added, almost as an after thought. It was a rather serious after thought.

She adjusted the strap of her bag, she had a few items she could use but really she wasn't prepared for anything like this. Yuuko shook her head and sighed, "And I could have brought a lot better equipment if you had told me about a giant bug before. You really should think about these things because it makes everything more complicated and the more complication the more I'm going to have to charge for my help." Her eyes drifted to Hanekoma and Sora and a slow grin spread across her face, "Still, these two might be of use and if they help I might not have to charge as much."
no subject
If he could get to that door, maybe he could go home! And get everyone else home, too! If it was the door to the world, anyway. If not--well, it had to be something if there was a giant bug protecting it, right?

Having the power of a living god, even a weakened one, meant there was little that worried Hanekoma directly, though of course he couldn't use his abilities in front of the others. If worse came to worse, he'd alter the monsters Vibe and take care of it where no one could see. From the feel of this Sora, however, Hanekoma was doubtful he'd have to step in.
Grinning to Sora he said, "Well, we'll never know what's there until we look. Shall we be off?" Turning he offered Yuuko his elbow. After all, it was important to be a gentleman.
no subject
"It's possible whatever we find behind that door could be even worth the trouble, don't you think? It must be important. It wouldn't be guarded like that if it wasn't," he continued before glancing to Sora.
"Ah, right, seen those mentioned. Think you could explain them to me? I can't say I've ever heard of either of them, well, I mean other than on the journals. And what do you mean door to the world?"
The Doctor sounded almost excited. Sora seemed to know a great deal. He was clearly someone he'd have to speak more to in the future.
Meanwhile, it seemed they were all ready and willing to head straight there. That was rather handy. He hadn't thought they'd be willing to go right away, but the Doctor certainly wasn't the kind to wait around anyways, so it suited him just fine.
"Right then, let's be off then!" he said, cheerfully, already pondering how to go abouts distracting the gate guard to get past and back out. Couldn't be too hard, though.

Yuuko beamed at Hanekoma's gentlemanly ways and accepted his arm, you would think they were going off for a picnic and not a mission to take down a bug and explore a mysterious locked door but maybe for Yuuko that was a picnic.
no subject
It wasn't the best explanation, but that was basically it. He would really rather get to smashing the whatever-it-was that was guarding the door.

He was all too happy to escort Yuuko, placing his free hand over the hand holding his arm as they walked. He was rather enjoying this trip already.
As they walked along, Hanekoma listened to Sora explain the concepts of world doors, Heartless, and Nobodies. He had some experiences with these concepts, but it seemed Sora had first hand knowledge, however vaguely he was able to express it. "Well now, sounds like you've had some interesting experiences Sora. So, would I be right in guessing that weapon of yours is connected to these doors?"
When they reached the gate, Hanekoma winked at Yuuko, and said, "Excuse me one moment." Stepping away from the group, he pulled the guards aside and talked to them softly for a few moments. When he stepped away, both guards had mugs of coffee in their hands and were chatting happily amongst themselves.
Walking back over, Hanekoma slide a arm around Yuuko's waist and said, "Well, I think we're all set. Show the way Doctor."
no subject
He wasn't sure exactly what Hanekoma did to make it so easy to pass by the guards, but he wasn't complaining.
This time he was able to enjoy the walk to the church a bit, since his previous visit the trip there had been incredible fast thanks to Sonic. Not that it turned out there was much to see. It was almost disappointing.
Eventually they did reach the stone church and he led them inside and up the stairs to the door that looked like nothing but a storage closet. The lock was in place, as he'd locked the padlock on their way out.
"Right, here we are, er well, not this door. I can open this one, it's the door beyond it that's the trouble, but there's also that creature I mentioned back here too," the Doctor explained to the three.
no subject
Her eyes fell on the key and she smiled slightly, "That is a very interesting item." She could sense its power from here. The curiosity in her bubbled, she'd love to get her hands on it and see what sort of powers were involved in making it but that would probably need to be saved for another time.
Yuuko's grin only grew when Hanekoma stepped aside and charmed the guards to let them pass. He just had all sorts of tricks up his sleeves, Yuuko realized, and he wasn't someone you wanted to tango with. At least not in the negative sense...now a real tango might be interesting but Yuuko realized she was getting off task.
They stepped passed the gate and headed out into the fields. Yuuko could still feel the hum of the gates power behind her, she really needed to look into those things more because she just knew they had something to do with this place. That, too, was a matter for another day.
Yuuko crossed her arms, looking at the first locked door, "Well, we'll never know what's inside if we don't open it. Handle the creature first and I think between the three of us we can figure out something with the other door."
