Not So Alone[Active]
Character(s): Laharl and Etna
Content: Laharl finds Etna. \o/
Setting: Uh, street... [6H]ish?
Time: Night
Warnings: None?
It had been a long week for the Overlord. He really hadn't known what to do with himself. Vyers' only suggestion had been to continue to search for Flonne, so that's what he'd done but had no luck in the least. He'd not really seen his old man since the... incident. Unsurprisingly he'd gone off to do... whatever the hell he was doing. Hell if Laharl knew.
Now he'd shifted his searching to something else: The Organization. He had more than a slight grudge, and with his vassals presumably safe back in the Netherworld, he could now freely take them on. They couldn't use Flonne and Etna against him. Just... he had to find them, which was easier said than done.
Yeah, sure, he could probably have posted and had them ALL come down on him, but he wanted to find just one of them, preferably, not all of them. So far he hadn't even seen a sign of any of them. Damnit, where did they hide out? This city may have felt smaller now, somehow, but it was still too large.
Walking along down the dark street, the Overlord was a rather lonely looking figure. Laharl really did hate this. He hadn't been on his own like this in months, and now it had been a week. Deep down he already missed his vassal's company. He had no idea where Ivan had gotten to. Heck, he didn't even know where Timon was.
Feeling his stomach gurgle, he sighed, pausing in his step. It was late and he was hungry. He decided he might as well just try and find some food and head back to the hotel. It didn't look like he was going to find anything today.

"Its not so bad," she assured herself, "I've had worse; hell it might be gone by morning."
"Though," she admitted, "before I've always had the netherworld hospital to fall back on. Now, what'm I suppossed to do? Limp there? Or am I be better off showing up at the hotel 'oh hey Prince, Flonne. How you guys been? Great, great. Oh me? same old, same old, just got a dagger or two in my stomach. How are the kids?'
...
Well, that's one option. Not like I'm getting there tonight, though. Not in this shape on an empty stomach- Oh I made a joke! HAHA-ow it kinda hurts to laugh... maybe I'm losing a little too much blood... Well, I'll just take a little nap and continue in the morning."
Etna mulled over to the nearest storefront, propped herself against the wall and fell asleep no more then a minute later.

Yeah, that made more sense. The cafe he'd started to walk towards would probably be closed. He'd stopped again and was ready to turn around when he noticed something, or rather, someone sleeping against a wall.
Laharl wouldn't have thought twice about it if not for the rather silhouette of Etna-like pigtails he could just make out. Not that it could be her. She was gone. ...Right?
Curiosity peaked, he made his way over to the figure, quickly realizing it wasn't Etna-like pigtails he'd seen, they WERE her pigtails. It was Etna! The Overlord was shocked at first. It didn't make sense. How the hell could it be her?! She'd vanished, right? Maybe this was just another illusion. That was a possibility he realized as he knelt down beside her. Then again, would he really hallucinate her bleeding?
Damnit, what the hell happened to her? The stab wound made him think of only one person. He felt anger creeping in, but he pushed it aside. She was bleeding really badly; Laharl wasn't about to let his vassal bleed to death, obviously. She was about to get an earful, but first she needed to be woken up.
"E-Etna?" he murmured, reaching out and touching her shoulder hesitantly to try to stir her. "Oi, Etna."

"Wh-wh-whhat are you doing here" ,she half screamed half giggled-nervously. She shot up to her feet guiltily as if to pretend everything was normal here. The blood drained out of Etna's head from the sudden stand and she began to feel woozy; tilting weakly and catching sight of her own punctured stomach, she rushed to cover it over with her arms nonchalantly. No good, she had a pretty steady stream coming out still and running all the way down her legs.
"Ehehehe" , how's it going?"
no subject
"What the hell do you mean 'how's it going?'?! Where the hell have you been?! What happened? Gah, do you know how worried I've--er--Flonne was?! You vanished! And now she's vanished and--" he snapped at her, breaking off as he realized just how badly she was bleeding.
Blood was all over her. His short bout of anger died off, concern creeping into his voice, "Damnit, E-Etna you're bleeding all over..."
She had nothing to hold against it, and he didn't exactly either. There was his scarf but... It looked more like the sort of wound that would be better going to a hospital for. He remembered where it was, but it was a bit of a walk still from here.

She tipped dizzily again, caught herself, geez this was a sorry state to be in.
Etna figured this probably deserved at least a little explanation, better start on the high-point.
"Yeah.. well, I got Larxene- a little, she got away, but she'll think twice about fucking with us." Probably, maybe, she wasn't so sure. What the hell was that crap with her memories? Maybe she'd accidentally handed Larxene something she shouldn't have.
Etna gave a pale smile and nearly fell limp, catching herself in time and propping up against her spear.

"What?! W-why the hell did you do that?!" he cried, voice raising again. He couldn't even begin to figure out why she'd have gone after Larxene. It didn't make sense.
Laharl's out burst of anger was short lived again as he saw her almost falling over. He jerked out, ready to steady her, but she'd caught herself on her spear. Awkwardly standing there, he glanced her over once more before coming to a decision. There was no way she'd ever make it to the hospital like this. She would bleed to death before they even got there, at this rate.
What was with him and carrying his vassals around lately?
With a defeated sigh and a muttering of idiot, he stepped up to her and unceremoniously scooped his vassal up off her feet. They were wasting time as it was, if she was going to be stubborn, which was likely, she could do it on the way.
fail post is 7 kinds of fail
Laharl's picking her up caught Etna more then off guard; it would've floored her faster then any wound were he not holding her up. She complained as he scooped her off her feet and gave him a few good punches to the skull, "Hey! What's the big idea?"
She gave a requisite amount of flailing, not enough to break free but enough to make things difficult and prove she wasn't helpless yet. Her blood loss was mounting though and as much as she hated to admit it, this was probably for the best.
"Ask a lady before you just go picking them up", Etna sighed, relenting and settling down. Etna put her spear away, clapped her hands twice and commanded, "Driver, the hospital."
and this is holycraplate and even more kinds of fail
He was half tempted to really do it, but he wasn't going to. It just was extremely temping.
The demon did fix her with one very annoyed glare, however, as she tried to command him. "Shut up. I'm only doing this because you're practically bleeding to death, idiot," he explained, as he did begin to walk, after adjusting his grasp on her a little. He never would have dreamed of carrying Etna of all people like this, but he was worried. More so than he was showing.
Etna was strong. This Etna, from the future, came across even stronger and more confident than the Etna he had left behind. Seeing her there, however, with blood pouring out of her just... made no sense. It was something he never would have been able to picture, yet there it was.
Once more he'd failed to protect one of his vassals. Maybe that's what bothered him the most.
