Let's get this party started before it molds.
Character(s): Edward Elric, Alexander, Harry Dresden, Squall Leonhart, Static, Rinoa Heartilly, Timon, Princess Tutu, Simba
Content: Storming the castle to rescue the princess.
Setting: I6
Time: Week two, afternoon
Warnings: Mayhem! Loud noises! Probably swearing!
The walk to City Hall was much shorter than it should have been. Physics did not seem to have much reign in Paixao. That was something to think about later though, not when Nina was still being held captive somewhere. When they arrived, Ed stopped, startled by the sight. The entire building was surrounded in huge, black thorny vines, winding back and forth through each other, like rose bushes without the blossoms.
"What the hell is this..." he murmured, walking closer to examine them. They were... strange. Aside from the fact that they just shouldn't be there. Ed's frown deepened and he pressed his palm to one of the thick vines, carefully maneuvering between the thorns, and activated his array. The energy crackled uselessly and dissipated. Botany was not Ed's specialty, but he was pretty sure these things weren't plants.
"Damn it," he said quietly.

Ed wanted to save Nina, he wanted to go in there. Maybe Nina was in there. He would dig and save Nina. He kept digging.

Worse, these things were practically radiating dark magic, enough to make the hair on the back of Harry's neck stand on end, and give him a queasy feeling in his stomach. Whatever had made that wall had some seriously bad powers at its command.
"I don't suppose anyone knows three fairies who can spot us a magic sword, do they?"
no subject
"No, but I have some fire magic stocked."
And a few GFs, but he didn't really want to try those just yet. They were a little destructive for something like this, especially if something else would work just as well and have fewer side-effects.

Static swooped down to join the others and jumped off of his disc when he was close enough to the ground, catching it in his gloved hand and letting it contract into its pocket sized form. "You sure a giant weed whacker won't work better," Static asked, catching the end of Harry's comment. Now that he was on the ground he let out a low whistle, it looked even more intimidating here on the ground, "Dang."

"They're certainly not normal thorns we're dealing with."

Keeping a short distance behind the others, the meerkat’s eyes travelled up through the thorns to one of the barely visible windows. He was sure they were watching, amused by the continued efforts of numerous visitors who dared challenge their practically impenetrable fortress. After a moment of careful observing, he quickly jointed the others, watching their efforts in silence. Even if he told them they couldn’t break through the barrier, he knew that wouldn’t stop them from trying.
This time he’d keep his guard up, and knew what to watch for if heartless were to appear. However, he could not promise Nina that he’d be brave enough this time around to stick around and face the forces of darkness he had tangled with for so long, he was, after all, a coward.

She chewed on her lip, looking doubtful. In the story, Maleficent was evil of course, but, Rue was supposed to be too. Tutu set her features into a look of determination. "These people could be potential allies against the Organization! And, while I don't know who the Jafar person is, I know that Maleficent and Hades are both really powerful!"
Tutu stepped back and closed her eyes as she moved to her toes and waved her hands gracefully. Thinner, greener, unthorned vines began to push out of the ground bellow her and weave themselves into a pedestal, slowly raising her into the air. The vines continued just as thick all the way up to the ceiling of the dome, but perhaps she would be a little bit more visible if she were on a level with the upper windows of the building within it.
"Maleficent! Please let us speak to you! If you would be a more just force of law within this city than the Organization, our causes may coincide!"
