Fallen from heaven, he lands on unknown shores [Active, Open]
Character(s): Sanae Hanekoma, anyone who wants to help him out
Content: The owner of WildKat Coffee is given a sudden chance to broaden his world when he arrives in Paixao
Setting: Vanaheim gate
Time: Midmorning
Warnings: None at the moment
Sanae Hanekoma had visited more than a few dimensions over his lifetime, and seen some very strange places, but before he'd always chosen to do so willingly, and he could never remember doing so in his sleep. How very odd.
Things became even stranger when he listened to the Vibe of this world, and found it unlike anything he'd ever heard before. All dimensions had their own unique vibe, and the further you moved away from one, the more the tune changed until you were left with a almost entirely new song. Still, no matter how far you went, there was always an underlying sense of connection and continuity between the different dimensions. This one, however, felt like something almost completely different from anything he had experienced in the past. Wherever he was, it was safe to say he was far away from home.
Still, there was nothing to be gained from just standing around staring at the grass, unusual though the grass was. Pushing his sunglasses up, Hanekoma took in the domed city before him, full of who knows how many people, each with their own worlds and perspectives to offer. Grinning he reflected that perhaps this wouldn't be so bad anyway. Perhaps he'd been sent here to redeem himself for his crimes, maybe it was a prison sentence, or maybe he'd just encountered some new phenomenon. Whatever it was, he just had top keep living in the moment and make the most of his time.
Setting off to the gate, he reflected that after all, it had been a long time since his last vacation.
Passing through the gate he received a strange journal that seemed to operate on a mixture of super-science and magic so tightly intertwined he wasn't really sure they were both there. It gave him an idea on how to check to see if anyone else from his home dimension was here. Now he just needed to find a trash can...

Passing through the gate he received a strange journal that seemed to operate on a mixture of super-science and magic so tightly intertwined he wasn't really sure they were both there. It gave him an idea on how to check to see if anyone else from his home dimension was here. Now he just needed to find a trash can...

Clothed in what could be considered "civilian" attire, he again had found himself lingering near the city gates, watching the confused visitors enter through. There was little of interest to be found so far, but still he remained. After all, whenever he seemed to decide it was about time to leave, something always managed to catch his attention.
Marluxia was able to see a few outsiders amongst the sea of blonds filing in, but were doing anything that quite caught his eye.
Except for one.
The Nobody kept a close eye on the brunet who had just entered, noticing the man's interest in the journals. Technological savvy was nothing new, but he was doing something at least.

Briefly glancing out the side of his sunglasses, he was able to easily spot the pink haired man standing in the sea of blond. Well, that was very interesting, but Hanekoma felt he'd wait a moment to see what the other man did, returning to his rooting around. If the other man didn't approach, well the Hanekoma would just have to put his outgoing social skills to use once again. After all, he was very curious about this place.
Aha, a perfectly good broken clock. A shame what people just threw away...

He wasn't expecting the trip to the trash can, but once Hanekoma took out the clock, the motivations behind the trip became clear as day. What the man planned to do with the journals was anyone's guess, but Marluxia preferred to have a more definite answer.
"Carry a fondness for timepieces?" he asked as he approached. "I think you might be looking in the wrong place."

"I must admit, I do have a certain admiration for the ingenuity a clock embodies, this time I'm more looking to use the individual parts than the clock itself. You'd be amazed what one can do with a spring and some gears."
As if to illustrate himself, Hanekoma proceeded to open up the clock casing with a tiny screwdriver he took out of his pocket. Grinning he looked at Marluxia over his sunglasses and tilted the clock as if to illustrate his point.

In truth, he was hoping to tweak the journal to detect certain Vibes from his own universe, but he couldn't really explain that without answering some awkward questions. He may have been deemed Fallen, but until he was actually relieved of duty he would maintain the duties of his office, including its secrecy.
Still, he didn't like to lie, and figured a half truth would be more acceptable than an out and out lie. Even the part about the sculpture was true. He'd gotten an interesting idea from Sho's junk piles...

He debated whether or not he should let the Organization know what this man had in mind. On one hand, if all he was really doing was attempting to make it work a little better, there was little harm in it. On the other, it would drive Vexen up the wall.
Either way, it seemed he'd found someone interesting after all. Patience truly was a virtue.

He had to admit, this man was an interesting character. Hanekoma would see what he could learn from the guy, without giving away anything himself. In truth, he'd been blatant about his tinkering on purpose, because he'd found if you focused others attention on one aspect of you, they completely missed everything else you were.
Anyone who saw him just now, would figure him for a tinkerer or expert in technology, and when they looked into him further it would be in that context, which left him plenty of other avenues within which to work.
"So boss, I never got your name? Mines Sanae Hanekoma," he said, extending a hand.

And he would keep this journal idea of Hanekoma's to himself.
He smiled welcomingly and shook Hanekoma's hand. "Michael," he replied. "If there is anything you need to know, don't hesitate to ask."

He should probably get some information on this place if he was going to be here for a while.

He pulled out his own journal and brought out the map. "Right here." He pointed at the screen. "Luckily, the citizens will take whatever you give them as long as it shines. Many people leaves or branches from the trees around here. Though you might have more difficulty when it comes to paying the 'visitors' here."
