Arrival... [Active/Open]

Character(s): The Prince, and all others in the vicinity who feel like coming by
Content: The Prince finds himself in Paixao.
Setting: Joutenheim
Time: Early afternoon
Warnings: None

The new world Prince found himself in defied expectations by being somewhat more pleasant looking than those he usually stumbled into. To begin with, it was populated by creatures of flesh and blood rather than those of sand, and this realization sent relief coursing through Prince's body. All the same, he touched the hilt of his Dagger once, reassuringly, before slowly getting to his feet and looking around.

The main structure of note was a large, elaborate gate, made up of two decorative giants bearing clubs. Sinister, but not quite as sinister as the Island of Time's decor, and the milling crowd of people made the Prince less hesitant to approach it. As he moved towards it, a man suddenly stepped in front of his path, blocking him, and he instinctively dropped into battle position, one hand going for his sword.

"Welcome!" the figure announced. "Welcome to Paixao!"

This non-threatening message was enough to make the Prince pause. Straightening, he gave the stranger a suspicious look. The man was dressed oddly, in bright, almost farcical colours that contributed somewhat to his gregarious demeanour.

"Paixao?" the Prince repeated, warily. "What...what is this place? Have I travelled in time?"

The stranger smiled and shrugged. "As to that, I don't know. But this place is Paixao, and you are welcome here. What is your name?"

"I am the Prince of Persia."

At this announcement, the figure smiled again, encouragingly, before stepping out of the way. There must, the Prince thought, as he moved closer to the gates, keeping a wary eye on all the bystanders, be a time portal somewhere near. If I can but reach it, I can return home. To Babylon.

To Farah.
