Characters: Larsa and anyone who finds the young prince
Content: The Archadian royalty shows up in Paixao
Setting: Vanaheim Gate
Time: early afternoon
Warnings: none for now
A young boy was roughly shaken awake. Someone was trying to be sure he was okay since he'd just appeared outside the gates of a city. The boy stood up shakily a little and glanced around. These gates looked nothing like the part of the skyfortress Bahamut that he'd been in moments before, nor did it look anything like Arcadia, Dalmasca, or even Ivalice. He did not recognize anything about it, not even the people.
However, the one who had woken him up seemed to think he was just a kid and the prince's brow furrowed slightly before he corrected the person and assured him that he was, indeed, all right.Larsa accepted the notebook-like device he was handed and slipped it into his pocket as he was ushered through the gates and stepped into a world he had never before seen.
Having always had somewhere to go, this would be a strain on the boy unless someone nice or familiar happened to run into him.

His charge was here, and that was really all that mattered at the moment.

"Judge Gabranth!" he called out, more than happy to find someone he knew so soon after his arrival.

"You are well?" he asked, moving to take off his helm. There would be no need of it in this conversation.

Larsa allowed his eyes to rest upon his guardian's face as the helmet was removed, feeling more than a little glad that he had someone he knew to walk with him and explain about this place.
The relieved expression faltered for a moment at the last words his guardian spoke. "I am.. as well as I can be. I only just arrived here, at the city." For Larsa, it was a bit of a time paradox. He clearly remembered seeing Gabranth back in the skyfortress of Bahamut not moments before, yet here he was in this city. Was he dreaming perhaps?

But there were more important things than the politics of Archades to worry about just now. Now was the time to deal with the matters of the city, and he might as well take of the most unusual ones first.
"I should warn you that time seems... ill-aligned here."
aaahh sorry about the wait!
"Unless I was asleep for quite a while, I would be apt to agree with you," he answered. "I last saw you in the skyfortress Bahamut."
Surely they couldn't have both ended up here at the same time? Whatever it was that had happened, it was confusing the young lord and that confusion was slowly becoming apparent on his face.

"I..." he began, before cutting himself off abruptly. How did you explain that you hadn't gotten quite that far when someone had seen you only moments before? "The last I knew before my arrival here was the Suncryst's destruction. I am sorry."

"There is much to discuss, but perhaps that would be better to do later," the prince mused, glancing around at his surroundings once again. "Is there anything you can tell me about this place?"
The more he knew about everything, the better he would feel about it.

"It is... a place unlike any of Ivalice," he began slowly. "It is a city that seems to serve little perhaps apart from to draw people in. Nor is it always safe, as there are those here who see nothing wrong with kidnapping people from the street for their own purposes."
no subject
"Kidnapping?" Oh dear... That didn't sound so good. "Perhaps we should take ourselves away from the problem. Is there anywhere safe where we may be able to speak without reservation?"
no subject
"There is... the place I have been staying at, should that suffice," he answered after a brief pause. And if it wouldn't no doubt he could come up with somewhere else they could speak.

He wanted as much information as he could get, but he also didn't want to risk getting caught by someone while they were trading such information. He wasn't even sure who or why, but it was not something to be risked in a new place.

He stepped through and considered his options. He was meant to take the larger one, which posed a problem since the man was a good deal bulkier than he and wearing armor to boot.
Oh well. Almost lazily, he snapped his fingers, turning the armored one into a giant card. There. Much easier to carry. He took hold of it and headed back into the portal, letting time fall back into place as the portal shut behind him.
