Just Like Old Times (Active / Open)

Characters Soma Cruz, anyone who happens along
Content Reentry. =|bb
Setting Niflheim gate
Time Evening, presumably during the Heartless invasion?
Warnings Soma is Soma. =| Violence may happen.

When push comes to shove, there are three certainties in the life of anyone who has ever been connected in any way to Dracula. Death, taxes, and monsters.

Soma had been lucky in the first; he had yet to die, and was rather thankful for that fact. However, he had faced taxes just like anyone else, and... well, he'd fought much, -much- more than his share of monsters.

Castlevania, Dracula's castle, had swallowed him twice. And both times, he had come out alive and better for the experience. This place was beginning to remind him of that castle, not least because there were now monsters. Not out in the open; never like they were in the castle. But they were there, and he could feel them.

The gatekeeper had given him his journal alongside a warning, and Soma had entered the city. And so far, he had not been attacked, though he expected this to change at any given moment. Because whatever these things were? They didn't respond to his power.

The party had gone well, he thought. A good amount of people managed to come by, even if he would have liked a few more to show up... Oh well. At least he managed to rope his rival into staying. He always knew that Adell was secretly a party animal...

In any case, he really hadn't had very much to do since he'd bolted the scene. Apparently there were these guys around who were claiming to own the place (which was weird because he thought some other guys owned the place) and there had been some people around who had suddenly looked completely out of it, but that wasn't really his problem just yet, right? Not like anything that was going on was going to hurt him, anyway. ...Hopefully. He thought he might have seen a few strange shadows while he was walking around.

Akutare had decided to take a walk around, if only to watch the obviously crazy people do obviously crazy things. At least till the weird shadows showed up (not that he was afraid of them or anything... It was probably nothing, but better to be safe than sorry). He almost didn't see the white-haired young man until he almost ran into him, and then Akutare was just barely able to stop himself from careening into him with a shout of surprise.
