Talk between companions. (Active/Closed)
Characters: Donna Noble and Rose Tyler
Content: Donna and Rose run into each other in the TARDIS and end up having a nice chat.
Setting: Somewhere in the TARDIS
Time: Afternoon-ish
Warnings: Nothing yet.
It was nice to finally sit down and somewhat relax, with everything that had happened in the short time since she'd walked through the gate. She still wanted to find out just what was going on around this place, and what had spooked the young woman so badly. It had been weird to just arrive in this place, and find the Doctor and Rose there too...but something had seemed off about both of them to her.
Rose hadn't known who she was, and the Doctor seemed to be missing part of his memory, if he even knew about things at all. In her journal he had mentioned 'dropping her off' and then arriving...which meant that was a big chunk of time.
It just didn't make sense.

When she stumbled across Donna, she froze, a bit surprised, and forgot just a bit that there were others staying in the TARDIS. Donna, Rosette, Chrno... It did make her smile; it wasn't like she didn't enjoy the company. So after the surprise she stepped closer with a smile and greeted the other woman.
"Hey there, Donna. Settled in?" Settled in... settled... back in? Hm.

"As well as I can, I'd bet." She said. "Considering the events of the last bit, I'm just glad to be somewhere familiar. Even if I'm in a strange land." The strange land was normal though, even if she hadn't shown up there in her 'normal' fashion. She thought for a second.
"Rose, how long have you been here?"
no subject
How long had she been here?
That was a bit of a hard question... She wrinkled her nose in thought, then just decided a guess was best. "Maybe a month now? Time is kind of... strange here. I don't think the Doctor likes it much."
no subject
"What do you last remember from home? I'm just trying to establish some sort of timeline in my head."
no subject
She looked back at Donna with a smile. "Sure, my family isn't here but... being there... it wasn't right."
no subject
And this was all making her head hurt.
"That's easy to understand." Was all she said.
no subject
But no, Rose knew better.
She kept quiet for a little bit, still hanging there, a bit lost in some of her thoughts, a bit just... enjoying other company. Donna could understand what Rose was talking about, at least; she knew the other woman wasn't lying.
Suddenly though, Rose grinned. "Hey, Donna," she said as she pushed away from the doorway, "have you seen a lot of the city yet? I... haven't. Ran into a bit of a trouble, going off on my own and all that. Meeting strangers. You know the deal, I bet." She took a step back into the hallway, still grinning. "How about a bit of girl-time in Paixao?"
no subject
"I don't see why not!" She laughed. "We're not going to be 'on our own' anyway. We'll be together, right?"
no subject
"Yep. Nothing gets into the TARDIS," Rose said cheerfully, knocking a hand to one of the walls. "Exactly," she continued, regarding their adventuring outside. Oh yes, she was liking Donna an awful lot already. "He can't complain about that." But then she paused, rubbing a hand through her hair in thought, and mumbling off a bit.
"Ah... but I'd bet you anything that he's run off on his own or something. Gotta leave a note behind, 'case he comes back and has a panic-attack." She couldn't do that to him. There were some kidnappings still afoot, and he'd probably assume the worst...

Donna wandered out of the room and into the hallway, headed towards the main area of the TARDIS. "Where should we leave it? It needs to be fairly obvious and visible. We don't want him to miss it." She tapped a finger against her lips, thinking.
no subject
She leaned against one of the coral columns and frowned slightly. The Doctor was good at disappearing to random places in the TARDIS, but still popping up right when he was needed.
"I can't think of any one good place to put it." The Doctor could be too bouncy sometimes, and overlook the most noticeable of things.

"So, how much paper do we have?" She asked, eying the doors and doing a bit of mental math. "If we cover both doors, he's sure to notice, no?"
no subject
When she returned, she had two pads (although one was already diminishing) of multi-colored post-its. She tossed one over to Donna, then fished out the sharpies that she had found as well. "He'll notice all right."
Rose moved over to the doors, an amused expression crossing her face. She held out the sharpies for Donna to take her weapon of choice.
no subject
Seeing Rose offer the Sharpies, Donna grabbed one that was a red color. The Doctor wouldn't be able to miss who left her half of the notes.
"Hey Spaceman..." Donna said out loud as she began to write across the sticky piece of paper.
no subject
She wrote variations and sentences spread across several post-its: Doctor, gone out with Donna -Rose and Don't worry, we'll stick together followed by we won't talk to
mostany strangers. She stuck them along the door, rocking back and forth on her feet with a grin. She was indeed having fun with this. With some thought, she started to add: if you miss seeing these, maybe you really do need those glasses and can't say you didn't see our note, and just for good measure, a few saying we won't get ourselves kidnapped, we can stay out of trouble
I swear...And they went on and on from there.

Hey Spaceman:
Rose and I are headed out for a little trip. Don't panic, we'll be fine and stick together. Remember, this is us, we're grown ups and we'll stick together and
try to notwon't get lost....and if you try to pull the 'I didn't see your note' I'm calling you blind for the rest of my, or your natural life.
That was only part of it, and she snickered a bit as she continued.

Rose examined some of Donna's work, realizing that their minds worked quite the same way. Perfect.
She looked over their job, nodding with her approval. Only the best traveled with the Doctor, right?
no subject
She walked over to the door and stuck the entire thing there, laughing a bit.
"If he can't see that, I'm suggesting LASIK." She said, looking over at Rose. "So, where shall we be off to?"
