Lost by the Bell (Active)
Character(s): Shalua and anyone around
Content: New arrival, very confused new arrival
Setting: Muspelheim Gate
Time: Midday
Warnings: Snark mostly and pessimism.
Fate was a cruel mistress for Shalua. She couldn't think of any better way to explain it as she headed through the gates with the handy little device they'd been giving out at the doors. She had no idea what it was but it looked like something she could figure out when she wanted to take the time to do so. Right now, however, she was agitated. Agitated and annoyed. She'd come so close to finding another clue, the first in ten years, as to what might have happened to her sister, only to get taken somewhere else entirely and have that clue slip right from her grasp.
Ironic... or completely diabolical.
Shalua sighed a little and adjusted her lab coat with her good arm so it fit a little more securely over her mechanical arm. She could feel her gun in the pocket of her coat and its familiarity and weight was a nice comfort to her. She took several breaths as she glanced around and tried to figure out where the best place to go would be. First thing was first: food and a place to sleep.

Over time as well, Kairi could recognize when people were knew in the city. Of course when they came through the gate, it normally meant that they were (on occasion people did leave to the fields and come back though). Some became quickly familiar though, and others Kairi liked to help out, sometimes for no reason at all.
So when she saw the woman, she edged over carefully, hands folded behind her back, a friendly smile on her face. "Hello, miss. Do you need any help? I'm guessing you're new to Paixao."

"Is that the name of this place?" came the answer, guarded, but calm. She was still holding onto the anger she felt at having been denied that one tiny clue about her sister. "I don't suppose you could tell me anything about 'Paixao'."
She had yet to say she was thrilled about finding herself anywhere, but it would be more than a little obvious that she was unhappy.
