The Hero Arrives (Open/Active)
Characters: Static, Anyone interested
Content: Our hero wides up in a very strange place with no clue how he got here...so, you know, the usual
Setting: Just past the Joutenheim gate
Time: early afternoonish
Warnings: none
Static was flying across the city as usual, Bang Baby activity had been pretty low lately and he was starting to wonder if maybe it was a holiday he hadn't heard about. He chuckled at that idea and pulled out his Shock-Box, "Hey Gear, any activity on your side of the city?" He waited for his friend to reply but all he got was silence. Frowning he pressed the 'talk' button again, "Rich? You there man?"
Silence…static…that was never a good sign. Static turned in midair, planning on heading for the side of the city Gear was supposed to be on, "Man you better just be distracted by something shiny," he grumbled. He had a bad feeling about this and he couldn't shake it as he flew across town. Static was so occupied with his worries that he didn't even seem to notice he was no longer flying over Dakota…or any city really. It was by mere chance that he realized and slammed on the "brakes" nearly tumbling off his disc in the process just before crashing into a large structure that appeared to be a gate. "Whoa! What the---," he looked around.
His eyes widened as he realized Dakota had suddenly disappeared and instead a different place loomed before him. Static hovered in the air just staring in silence. When he finally did get the ability to speak back he had to open and shut his mouth a few times before getting out, "Where the heck am I? Man, you turn your back for one second and they're remodeling the city." He knew this was no joking matter though, he had no idea where he was or how he had gotten here. He'd time traveled a few times but this didn't look like the future he'd been too and it certainly wasn't the past (then again he'd never been too good at history).
The young hero turned his attention to the ground, looking for people. There was a person standing by the gate and Static flew down to them, surely they would know something, "'scuse me. Care to help a guy out?" The person looked up with a rather creepy blank smile, "Welcome," they said, "To Paixao. Name please"
Static wasn't sure if they meant his real name which he certainly wasn't going to give so he figured, why not, and replied, "Static." He glanced back at the large gate he had nearly crashed into, it was huge and actually kind of intimidating. Static turned back to address the person with more questions but they had moved on. "Well nice talkin' with you too," he muttered. He realized the person had put something in his hand, an electronic device that kind of reminded him of a PDA or something Richie would build. Not quite sure what to do with it he tucked it into an inner pocket and tossed his flying disk onto the ground. He wasn't sure what to make of all this but the best way was to fly right? "There's gotta be someone here with more answers than the pod person back there, even Batman has more emotion than that," he muttered before taking off, not flying too high just yet.

Just then, the strange man caught Quina’s eye. Since this man seemed human, he was probably not food. Still, what was that small thing he was using to fly? It looked so small. Was it food?

Just to be safe, Static hovered just out of reach and knelt down on his board, "'Scuse me...uhm...sir, mind telling me what's going on here?"
no subject
"I looking for food," it answered. "You have food? I hungry."

“This food?” Quina said excitedly as it grabbed the chocolate bar with its teeth and ate it all up. Whatever the food was, the inside tasted like chocolate (Very tasty!) although the outside was not so good (as Quina ate the wrapper as well). “Taste like chocolate,” Quina said happily. “Very tasty. Although outside not so tasty.”

Well, maybe now he could ask for some help. "So, think you can tell me a little more about this place, now," he asked, he decided to step off the disk and stand on the ground now, no sense wasting energy hovering in the air if he was going to try to get information out of this guy.

“This place called Pie Show”, it replied. “But I see no pie shows anywhere. Lots of places with pies though. And lots of other food."

Static raised an eyebrow, "Pie show? That's a weird name for a place." Wait a minute, hadn't someone at that gate thing said "Paixao." He could see where the confusion was, they did sound the same. "Uhm, I don't think it's 'Pie Show' but 'Paixao'," Static made sure to emphasize the 'x' in Paixao making it sound like Paizhao instead of Piesho. Static was beginning to wonder if he'd get anything out of this guy OTHER than food topics, "Alright, and how do you pay for food? The guy at the gate only gave me this thing." The teen held up the PDA looking device.

“It not a pie show?” Quina was a little disappointed but it did not matter as there was a lot of different food to try from. Maybe even that funny shape the man was flying on.
“Timon tell me that they take anything here,” Quina replied, still curious about the disk. “But people kick me out of restaurants for not paying earlier.”
“Shiny thing not food,” Quina answered when Static showed it the box. “I try to eat mine but it no taste of anything. Timon tell me that it for talking to people.”

"Well, I figured it wasn't food," Static muttered, looking down at it again, "So it's a communication device. Guess it really is like a PDA then, sweet."
He'd have to test out this communication function at some point...learn more about this place.

He wondered if he'd regret those words...this guy was willing to eat his flying disc, it was likely he wasn't a picky eater nor was he a light one.
Now you've done it, Static! XD
((Should we start planning for how this thread ends and what happens after it soon? I'm guessing that it's going to end with Static going with Quina to buy something at a restaurant but I don't know if that's okay with you))

((Yeah, Static's planning on buying him food. What were you thinking happened soon after?))

((Not sure if you want to close the thread here))
